Let Me Love You Again -
Chapter 107
Nate
I remember Becka Fisher very well, especially what we went through together.
When I was fifteen, my father used to take me with him on his business trips, he always wanted to push me to follow his own career, so many times he took me to meetings with his clients. My first trip was just when he came to Seattle, to Jack Fisher, one of his most important clients. Fisher had hosted us at his house, where he lived alone, because he was divorced, and occasionally his two children, Becka and Oliver, came to visit him.
Becka and I were the same age and we immediately had an extraordinary understanding, perhaps because we both came in a way forced to attend meetings of our fathers, together we complained. The most vivid memory I had with Becka was the first joint I had smoked and the horror of being stoned and trying to hide it from our fathers and the chemical hunger we had had.
“You grew up, Dare, you look good,” Becka said, turning me away from my thoughts, she had put her chin on her joined hands in front of her and looked at me cheerfully.
Becka wasn’t just a companion of adventures and bullshit, Becka was my first time, and I was hers. We were high, but it was unforgettable. When I was with Becka, I always forgot everything else around me, I felt free and less oppressed. I never understood if I had fallen in love with her or not, every time I was with her I was fine and I didn’t think about anything, but when I came home there was Maya, and she always upset me making me completely forget everyone I met or f****d.
I had seen her as a younger sister until her boobs had grown. From that moment on, she had been my devastator. Many, many times, I’d found myself jerking off in the bathroom thinking about her, or when I was screwing someone, I always imagined it was her. Except when I met Becka. When we were f*****g, it was just me and her, without anyone’s ghost.
“You look good too, have you finally taken your place?” I asked, putting a finger on my chin.
“Not really,” she laughed, “Dad is still a stick in my a*s, but he leaves me a lot of decisions to make and he doesn’t mind my business,” she said, “You rather, have you taken the reins of your signature?”
“Not yet,” I said relaxed “Dad will retire in a few years and will leave the reins to me and my sister, 50 and 50”.
“Jess?” I nodded, “How is Jess, you were always talking about her”
“I was complaining about Jess” corrected her. She burst out laughing “Jess got married last year and just had twins” I continued.
“Twins? Wow congratulations,” Becka said.
“She’s still on maternity leave or she would have come,” I said.
“Would you leave an important case to your sister? I thought you were competitive.”
“I am, but I would have preferred to stay home at this time,” I said, and I put my hand over my face.
I saw her look go, “Are you married?” she said, pointing to my ring.
I looked at my hand and smiled as I looked at my ring and remember my wonderful wife, “Yes in February,” I said proudly.
“Wow, Nathaniel Dare married, who would ever have said that,” she said as she moved a strand of red hair behind her ear “Somewhere in the great city of Philadelphia there is a Dare lady roaming around,” she continued.
“There was already a Mrs Dare wandering around the city,” I said, dangling on the chair.
“Your mother doesn’t count Dare,” she said, and then she looked at the watch, “I have to go to a meeting tonight to go get us a drink? So you fill me in on everything that’s happened to you in the last few years,” Becka said, getting up.
“I don’t know, I’ll let you know,” I said, taking my papers.
“Don’t be a p***y, Dare,” he laughed back before leaving the room.
I sighed and took the phone. Becka Fisher.

I entered the elevator and pressed the button on the ground floor. I finally gave in to Becka’s request but I asked her to come to the hotel bar where I was staying so that my colleagues would shut up and meet Becka along with other people.
Maya texted me that she had just come home and she was making dinner for Axel, she was waiting for me in a few hours for our usual video call so that I could see Axel and then have some phone s*x with my wonderful wife.
I stepped out of the elevator and I put my hands in my pocket as I walked toward the bar. At the counter, turned around, I could already see Becka’s little redhead. I approached and leaned against the counter with one elbow.
“Already drink?” I said, pointing to the glass of martini in front of her, where she was soaking the toothpick with the olive.
Becka threw her hair back, “I was bored,” she replied.
I sat next to her, “Whiskey without ice,” I told the barman.
“How’s the case going? I know it’s not easy, my father mentioned this dispute with the client, but I didn’t get involved much, it’s Oliver’s case,” she said.
“We’re getting somewhere. This week we can meet with your client’s lawyers so that we can make some deals,” I said as I was being laid down.
“How soon will you be able to resolve this?” she asked again.
“I hope by the end of next week,” I said.
“Ah, too bad,” she said, sipping from her glass.
“Why?”
“Because I thought I had more time to make up for a lost time, maybe do some spliff like in the old days,” she winked.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea, we’re no more than 17”.
Becka laughed and at that moment my colleagues came and sat down next to me. We started talking quietly as if all that time hadn’t passed. I was so immersed in the conversation that I didn’t realize the time had passed until my phone rang and Maya and Axel’s faces appeared on the screen.
That’s when I realized I had more than a few missed calls from Maya and mentally cursed.
I answered immediately and Axel’s angry face appeared on the screen.
“Dad,” he said in an angry, reproachful tone.
“Yes I know, I’m sorry,” I said, getting up from the chair, “Sorry, but I really have to go, I’ll see you tomorrow,” I said, looking at Becka, who was looking at me with a frown.
“p***y,” Zeke said.
I rolled my eyes and walked out of the bar with the phone in front of my face as I walked toward the elevators.
“Where were you?” Maya’s voice reached me and soon after she appeared on the screen behind Axel who probably kept the phone.
“At the hotel bar,” I said as I entered the elevator and pressed my piano button.
“That’s why you didn’t answer me? Were you too busy flirting?” Maya said, frowning and frowning.
“The only one I’m flirting with is right in front of me”
“Is there anyone in the elevator with you?” asked Maya.
I laugh and at that moment the doors of the elevator opened, “Daddy” said Axel again, drawing attention to himself, “Dad talk with Axel” repeated almost angrily.
Maya and I laughed while I opened the door and started my usual conversation with Axel.
