Chapter 981 Kidnapping in the Closed Room

After finishing breakfast, the two of them drove to the spa. As soon as they entered, a soothing fragrance greeted their senses. Evelyn had made advance reservations for their treatments. A therapist led them to their room, and after changing into the provided attire, they entered the spa area. Evelyn's skin was delicate and fair, almost translucent. If the circumstances allowed, Huston would truly have been intimate with her.

Watching her play with the water unknowingly, Huston swallowed a few times and looked away.

With the therapist providing massages and attentive care, the accumulated fatigue was washed away by the gentle water. Evelyn felt so relaxed and comfortable that she nearly fell asleep several times. "Ms. Shelton, you also selected a cold water bath. You need to go to another room for that," the therapist whispered, reminding her.

Evelyn nodded lazily. "I almost forgot. I'll go now."

She was about to get up as she spoke, but Huston grabbed her. "You'll catch a cold. Don't go."

Evelyn smiled and waved her hand, saying, "It's okay. I asked earlier, and there are herbal ingredients in it, which is good for the body."

"I'll go with you."

"No, you had a headache yesterday. You really can't soak in cold water." Evelyn held his hand and felt that he was acting weird today. "Twenty minutes is enough. What are you worried about?" After yesterday's incident, it would be strange if Huston was not worried.

Huston wanted nothing more than to keep her by his side, but unfortunately, she insisted on going, and he was afraid of arousing her suspicion. He had no choice but to let her go.

As soon as Evelyn left, Huston went to the door and winked at the two plain-clothed policemen guarding there. When he saw the police following Evelyn, he was relieved.

The place for the cold water bath was in a small room at the far end of the corridor. Evelyn followed the therapist's guidance and pushed open the door. "Ms. Shelton, please wait for a moment. I'll go get the massage tools," the therapist said.

Evelyn watched as the therapist left and walked alone to the side of the small pool. She was wrapped in a large white bath towel, covering most of her body. Unable to resist the temptation, she decided to get in. She removed her bathrobe, leaving her body covered only by a towel in a bandeau style.

The white towel could only cover the upper part of her thighs. Evelyn carefully stepped into the pool with her slender legs, and the icy cold water caused her to inhale sharply, "Hiss..."

The room was filled with the sound of water splashing as Evelyn made several attempts to fully immerse her body. The cold water stimulated her skin, making it instantly tighten. As she gradually got accustomed to the temperature, she suddenly felt a warm presence behind her. It was clear to her that someone was behind her!

How could anyone sneak into such a private place?

Evelyn was shocked and pale with fright. Without turning around, she immediately got up and rushed towards the exit of the pool. Unfortunately, the man behind her had already noticed her actions. He quickly grabbed a towel and covered her mouth, pulling her back forcefully.

"Mmm!" Evelyn's mouth and nose were tightly covered, preventing her from making any sound. With her back turned, she couldn't see the person behind her. She could only struggle and create splashes of water in a desperate attempt to break free.

The room's door had been closed by someone at some point, and the therapist who had mentioned going to get the massage tools hadn't returned yet.

Evelyn's heart was racing. Only then did she realize they had been targeted since entering the store!

Suddenly, a cold, sharp knife gently pressed against her neck. The sharp knife was already sharpened, gleaming with a chilling light that could easily cut through her skin with a single slip.

Evelyn stopped resisting, and her face turned red because of the lack of oxygen.
