With Madelyn around, Skylar didn't behave intimately with Tobias. Instead, she headed out right away. Before she left, she asked him routinely, "Are you coming back tonight?" Smiling faintly, Tobias retorted, "Where else can I go? Of course, I'm coming back here."

On the final day of filming, it was the second time she was ever late. She took ten minutes to swiftly get changed and put on her makeup before apologizing profusely to all the crew present. The makeup artist kept praising how naturally beautiful Skylar was to the extent she found it a pleasure to do the latter's makeup.

With her well-defined brows and porcelain white skin, Skylar's face glowed radiantly. The makeup artist complimented her, "I wonder which man will be lucky enough to have you as his girlfriend." Skylar responded with a faint smile. "Perhaps, he doesn't feel that way."

The makeup artist replied, "How can that be? All men love pretty girls. In fact, even girls would be captivated by this face of yours."

After that, Shay walked her through the final scene where she was supposed to kiss Maxim. Worried that both of them would be shy due to their youth, Shay began to clear the film set so that they could concentrate better. As for Maxim, he was already chewing some gum in preparation.

All this while, Skylar and Tobias had agreed to three rules, one was that she wasn't allowed to work in movies that required her to kiss, for he couldn't accept seeing his girl being intimate with another man on the silver screen.

In fact, Tobias had stated his condition with a solemn tone that demonstrated how much it bothered him. Nevertheless, Skylar felt that an actress should be willing to make sacrifices in pursuit of her career. Consequently, she struggled with herself over her dilemma. As for Maxim, he too was equally stressed by it. In the end, she proposed to Shay. "Can I use a double for this scene? I'm not confident kissing on screen."

Shay acceded to her request and didn't make things difficult.

In the meantime, Ingrid, who had finished her scenes, sneered, "After behaving like a slut for such a long time, she now wants to put on a demure act."

Laurel overheard the comment. Even though Skylar was her boss, she too didn't understand why. Nonetheless, the rumors she heard of Skylar in the entertainment industry weren't good at all. Most of them accused her of having a sugar daddy although no one knew who it was.

Every time they finished work, she would see Skylar check her phone for messages. Evidently, the latter was involved with a man.

Given that she had wasted many years of her youth with Gavin, Laurel looked down upon women who depended on men.

Now that filming for The Ballad of 1978 was finally completed, Skylar posted a selfie online, which was a rare occurrence.

Sometimes, half a month would pass without her posting anything on her social media, which was unacceptable for an actress. In truth, she was just lazy to think of what to post.

Since she had been labeled as a bimbo, she had no choice but to garner attention with her beauty for the time being.

With only one movie about to be screened, she was understandably anxious. The time when she was overwhelmed by scripts simply felt like a different era.

After putting her phone down, she held onto her stomach with her hand. Feeling uncomfortable, she lay back down on the leather seat of the Rolls Royce with knitted brows. When Hannah noticed how pale Skylar looked, she covered the latter with a blanket. "What's wrong? Are you feeling under the weather?"

With barely any energy left to speak, she replied, "I feel a sharp pain in my stomach which has bothered me for the last few days. Perhaps, I may be experiencing food poisoning." Hannah snapped, "Are you pregnant?"
