Alberto glanced at his assistant, who immediately grasped his intent.

The assistant released his grip on the wheelchair handle, allowing

Alberto to wheel himself.

Together, they entered the elevator and made their way to the auction venue on the third floor.

Odin had recently assumed control of Sullivan Group.

As soon as he entered the hall, he was swarmed by a crowd of people.

Rachel had initially been standing beside him, but she skillfully avoided those attempting to engage her in conversation and slipped away unnoticed.

With Odin preoccupied, he didn’t have the chance to keep an eye on

Rachel for a while.

Rachel accepted a low-alcohol cocktail from a waiter and strolled over to the dessert area.

Standing in a corner of the venue, she surveyed the room.

The auction hadn’t officially started yet.

Most guests had left their seats and were holding drinks.

Several people gathered together to discuss the auction or attempt to navigate the throng in order to propose a toast to Odin.

Securing an opportunity to collaborate with Sullivan Group was well worth a glass of wine.

Feeling bored, Rachel perused the pamphlets on the dessert table.

From the corner of her eye, she noticed the door being pushed open from outside and a group of people entered.

The noisy hall instantly fell silent.

“Mr.

Stanley!” someone exclaimed excitedly.

The outburst was like a sudden clap of thunder, prompting the crowd to greet Edmond respectfully.

Upon hearing the greetings, Edmond maintained a humble demeanor, responding with a smile, “It’s been a long time, everyone.”

“Master.

Odin approached and glanced at Alberto, who sat in a wheelchair.

His expression darkened, but he quickly looked away.

Turning to Edmond, he offered a polite greeting.

Edmond was pleased to see so many familiar faces but, when Odin addressed him as Master, his smile froze momentarily.

Then he smiled again and said, “Mr.

Sullivan, if my memory serves me right, I’ve never had the pleasure of instructing you, have I? If so, I wouldn’t dare accept the title of Master from you.

Please, you can call me Mr.

Stanley.”

Odin’s expression darkened.

Although Edmond maintained a smile, it was clear he didn’t want Odin as a student and tactfully declined the respectful title.

If Odin lashed out at this point and made an unpleasant retort or mocked Edmond, people would perceive him as petty.

After all, everyone else present admired Edmond.

Odin, having just taken over the helm of Sullivan Group, knew he couldn’t afford to offend Edmond at this time.

Narrowing his eyes, Odin forced a smile and conceded, “Mr.

Stanley, my apologies.

I was too presumptuous.”
