Back then, Roger would admire her from a distance.

He felt that she was too quiet, like a perfect sculpture.

His gaze would follow her everywhere.

Roger stared at Rachel’s back in a daze.

Four years ago, Roger met Rachel again.

He was surprised to see the drastic change in her personality.

The once quiet girl had become strong, graceful, cheerful, stubborn, and eloquent.

The girl he once wanted to protect now could guard herself.

Roger neither felt bad nor wrong but attributed the changes to the passage of time.

After all, people change with time.

But he forgot that no matter how a person changed, their inherent nature would remain the same.

“Here!” Rachel took a notebook from the bookshelf and handed it to

Roger.

Roger snapped back to his senses and looked down at the notebook in her hand.

It was a palm-sized notebook with a cute kitten sticker on the light green cover.

Seeing the dog-eared sticker, it looked Like an old notebook that had been around for years.

Roger recognized the notebook at first sight.

In high school, Rachel would take this notebook to the teacher’s office to clarify her doubts.

Roger would also go to the teacher’s office often on the pretext of asking questions just to meet her.

Roger had seen her take this notebook several times.

Roger was stunned to see it again after several years.

He took it and looked at her.

“I didn’t expect you to keep this notebook.”

“It wasn’t me.

She kept it.

Perhaps this notebook is of great significance to her.

Maybe it contained memories of her youth that she couldn’t forget.” Even though Rachel led a strange life later, she was at least a well-behaved, positive girl in her youth.

Roger frowned in confusion.

“Rachel? What do you mean? Who is she?

Isn’t this your notebook?”

Rachel didn’t answer his question but gestured for him to open the notebook.

Roger lowered his head and opened the notebook.

He saw Rachel’s name on the first page, written in her clear handwriting.

A small flower was drawn beside her name.

He continued to flip across the pages.

The pages that had turned yellow over time were densely packed with several notes.

They were neatly arranged, which showed her sincerity when she had written them.

Roger skimmed through the pages but couldn’t understand what Rachel was trying to say.

When he was about to ask her about it, Rachel turned around and walked to the desk.

She picked up a pen, wrote her name, Rachel

Bennet, neatly on a piece of paper, and handed it to him.

Confused, Roger took the paper.

“Take a look,” Rachel said.
