By the time I was done reading Tate his book he was fast asleep. I kissed his head and turned on the nightlight that projects stars onto the ceiling and flipped the light off. Then I shut the door quietly and turned for the living room.

Only to be stopped by my mate who was waiting for me.

Taking my by surpruse Epperly pushed me up against the wall that is thankfully opposite of our son’s room. Wow, she’s actually pretty strong. Epperly ran her hands up my chest and pushed her body into mine.

“Watching you be a good father is probably the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen, and you do some pretty sexy things Daddy.” She whispered seductively.

“Eppe-” I started to say but was cut off when she pressed her lips to mine.

Epperly had to pull my head down to be able to reach me. I was too distracted from her touching me to see what she had been trying to do. Now I’m trapped. By her f*****g juicy lips. Epperly slipped her tongue out and ran it across my bottom l*p and I pulled away from her.

“Epperly I think we should slow down.” I told her.

My mate frowned at me.

“Because we don’t already have a kid or anything.” She sassed me.

I gave her a blank look before shaking my head.

“Listen baby, I don’t think I can stop myself from marking you if we go further and I don’t want to do that yet.” I told her.

“Why not? Everyone else keeps saying how much safer I’ll be when you do.” She asked.

I shook my head again.

“You will be, and believe me I want to mark you. But I want you to understand what exactly that means and right now you don’t-“

“So mark me and I will.” She interrupted me.

I blinked at her and Kohen practically laughed in my head.

“Baby you have no idea what you’re asking.” I told her.

Epperly pushed herself against me again and tangled her fingers into my hair.

“Anything to do with you sounds fun to me.” She whispered. “I’m your mate Ambrose, we have a kid together already, and I believe you promised me another one.” She said.

A shiver ran through my body and my d**k was instantly hard. Cumming in her was probably one of the best feelings I’ve ever had in my life. The prospect of doing it again is exciting.

Having another baby sounds pretty fun too. No. I shook my head.

“Not right now baby.” I told her.

Epperly pouted and got up on her tippy toes. She leaned in and pressed an open mouthed k**s to my neck. Goosebumps rose on my skin and my arms instinctively wrapped around her waist to hold her closer. Epperly kissed up my neck to my earlobe and then she licked me.

“Fuuuucckk me.” I breathed out.

“I’m trying to.” Epperly giggled.

“How the f**k do you know how to tease me like this?” I asked.

Epperly pulled away from me and looked me in the eyes.

“I was never with anyone else if that’s what you’re thinking.” She told me.

My eyes went wide.

“No, baby I wasn’t implying that at all. I know you haven’t been with anyone else.” I told her.

Epperly scrunched up her face.

“I’ve heard about betrayal pains but I didn’t think that you could feel them from so far away. Not that you would of anyways.” She said.

“After you meet your mate you would be able to feel them no matter the distance.” I told her.

Epperly nodded.

“Well, to answer your question I learned it from you.” She told me.

“Me?” I asked confused.

Epperly giggled and nodded again.

“Yeah. That night we shared is the only expierence I’ve ever had other than pleasing myself.” She said. “Some things I know from when Angela and I were friends. But mostly I learned from that night.” She told me.

I couldn’t speak at first. I wasn’t sure what to say really. Every word that just came out of her mouth went straight to my d**k.

“Speaking of that night. You told me it was your first time too… Was that a lie?” She asked.

I shook my head.

“No. I was telling you the truth. My parents raised us to put the bond above all else. I saved myself for you completely. I had never even kissed anyone until you.” I told her.

Epperly smiled and bit down on her bottom l*p. Then she let go of it and looked up at me. I could tell that she was trying to decide to ask me something so I waited patiently for her to do so.

“What about after that night?” She asked softly. “Five years is a long time, I wouldn’t blame you if-“

I put my finger over her lips to stop her and shook my head.

“I was never with anyone. You would have felt it too and I would never have done that to you. Even if I wanted to. You were always the only girl for me, even before I met you. We might not have been together in your eyes but in mine we were and I would never cheat on you. Besides, you are the sexiest girl to walk the earth, no one could ever compare to you.” I told her.

Epperly smiled up at me.

Ambrose we are here. I didn’t want to knock in case Tate was asleep, I know it’s a bit late. Relly’s voice floated through my head.

We can sit outside on the back porch, there’s a table and chairs back there. We’ll be there in a minute. I told her and then cut the link.

“Relly and Ryce are here.” I told Epperly.

“Oh cool.” She said and then turned to head down the hall.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her back. Epperly turned around with a frown on her face. I looked her up and down and she raised a brow at me.

“I need you to put some clothes on.” I told her.

“I have clothes on.” She argued.

I shook my head.

“You need more clothes on otherwise my wolf might lose it, plus Relly tends to get very, very jealous when she’s pregnant.” I told her.

Epperly nodded in understanding and I was thanking the Moon Goddess that she knows at least the basics about werewolves. My mate turned for our bedroom door and then paused. She turned back to me and I smiled at her.

“What’s your wolf’s name?” She asked me.

I could only blink at her for a moment before I found my voice.

“Kohen.” I told her.

“Kohen.” She repeated. “I like it.” She stated and Kohen purred in my head.

Then Epperly rolled her eyes.

“Can you believe Tate’s wolf’s name is Skoll? How retro.” She said and then disappeared into our room.

I chuckled at the empty space before resting my head on the wall and trying to calm my body down, again. It’s going to be extremely hard to resist her. Especially when I spent so much time away from her already, but then again, that’s why I have to resist her. There is no way I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from placing a mark on her.

Maybe my sisters can talk to her. They could explain to her what the bond is like. I know that Tia would be too busy but Kee would definitely do it for me. I bet Ahkari and Bianca would too. Maybe even Acaisia….. well, maybe I don’t need her opinions in my mates head.

“What are you thinking so hard about?” Epperly asked.

I turned to see her standing in the doorway of our bedroom staring at me. A beautiful smile on her juicy lips and those adorable dimples showing. I looked her up and down to see that she has pulled up her black hair in a messy bun on top of her head. Epperly also put on a pair of black sweat pants and, much to my extreme delight, a blue T-shirt that belongs to me. I smiled brightly at her.

“Raided my closet I see.” I commented.

Epperly blushed. I love it when she blushes. She’s so f*****g sexy with her face slightly pink.

“I hope that’s okay.” She said soflty.

“That’s more than okay. Feel free to wear my clothes whenever you want.” I told her and then kissed her head. “Now, let’s go talk to my sister and her mate.” I said. “Wait, I forgot something.” I said as I rushed back into the room.

I grabbed the baby monitor that was sitting on my bedside table. It has video and everything. When I came back out I showed it to Epperly who smiled brightly at me. She jumped into my arms and pressed her lips to mine.

f**k me, I am never going to survive.

Pulling away from her I was a bit breathless.

“Let’s not keep them waiting all night.” I said and Epperly nodded while biting her l*p. For f**k’s sake.

I grabbed Epperly’s hand and walked her through the house. When we got to the living room she tried to go off in the direction of the front door but I pulled her in the opposite direction. Epperly frowned at me but I only smiled back at her.

“The only place you and Tate didn’t actually venture to was the laundry room.” I told her as I pulled her through another door of the living room.

“I thought this was just a closet or something.” She said as she walked through. “Holy s**t this room is beautiful. I bet it looks stunning in the light.” She said as she looked around.

The laundry room of this house is a small room with white tiled flooring and light gray walls. There is a shelf that runs along the wall of the washer and dryer, and the entire room is surrounded by windows. Also, there is a sliding glass door that leads to a back porch.

“Do you like it? If there isn’t anything that you like in this house let me know and I can change it.” I told her as I gave her a moment to inspect the room.

Epperly turned her purple and gold eyes to me.

“You would change this house just for me?” She asked.

“I would do anything for you Epperly.” I told her as I reached up and brushed a few stray hairs from her face. “But it isn’t as complicated as you think to change this house.” I told her.

“What do you mean?” She asked with her face scrunched up adorably.

“I can use a spell to change it so it’s not like we would need to do any contruction or anything. The spell does take it’s toll on me but Max can help and it might even be a good way to teach Tate, assuming he can do it. This particular spell isn’t something witches are supposed to be able to do. It’s a Fae thing but, I’ve always been able to do it.” I explained.

“Hmm.” She hummed out. “So, a snap of your fingers and I can have my dream house huh?” She asked.

I chuckled. “Something like that.” I said.

“Well, I love this room but it would be nice if it were bigger. Like an acutal sun room maybe. I wouldn’t mind if the washer and dryer were still in here, but it would be nice to have a sitting area to enjoy the sunshine sometimes.” She said with a smile and then looked passed me.

“Love the back porch though.” She said making me laugh.

I opened the sliding door for Epperly and she gingerly walked out. My mate is so graceful. Kohen huffed in agreement. As soon as we walked out onto the porch Relly and Ryce greeted us from their seats.

“Hey guys.” Relly said and then stood up to hug Epperly.

That is just how Relly is, nice. Epperly seemed to enjoy it though anytime one of my family memebers hugged her. Normally Kohen would be jealous of anyone touching our mate for too long but he wasn’t. We both wondered how long it had been since she had simple human contact.

I know we aren’t humans but to be isolated the way she was her whole life took its toll I’m sure. Epperly soaked in every ounce of comfort my family gave her and for the first time, I was thankful to have such a big family.

“I didn’t even know there was a back porch.” Epperly said with a chuckle as she stood awkwardly and looked around.

The porch is simple but has an awning above it so we could sit out here in the rain if we wanted. There’s a swing on one side and an outside table with five chairs on the other, where Ryce and my sister are seated around the table. I walked over and kissed Epperly’s cheek before sitting down in a chair.

I thought that maybe if I sat down she would feel comfortable enough to take her seat. When Epperly still didn’t sit down I looked up to see her chewing on her bottom l*p and staring at me.

“You okay love?” I asked.

Epperly nodded and then she slapped my arm out of my lap and sat down on me. I’m sure my face turned slightly red but I don’t care. A goofy smile spread across my face and I wrapped my arms around her waist.

“You guys are so cute.” Relly said. “And thank the Goddess you did that Epp.” She said as she got up and sat on her own mate. “Ryce said we shouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable so he wouldn’t let me sit on him.” She told us.

“You’re the one who said she is new to this world. I was just trying to be considerate.” Ryce defended himself.

“Since when are you considerate to my family or their mates?” Relly asked with a laugh.

“Ambrose is your only sibling that has ever been considerate to me so I can be to his mate. Plus, he helped rebuild our pack all those years ago.” He said.

Epperly turned in my lap and looked at me.

“You did that?” She asked.

I nodded. “It was a mission. And it wasn’t their pack just yet.” I said with a sly smile knowing exactly what was about to happen.

“Considerate my a*s.” Ryce grumbled.

“Yeah, love how you said ‘our pack’ like I even knew we were mates at the time. You were too buy lying to me and f*****g the stupid w***e that caused the destrcution of your pack at that time.” Relly started ranting and I was desperately trying not to laugh.

“See what you’ve done?” Ryce asked me with a glare.

That was when I did laugh. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. The two of them are quite the pair and it was quite the adventure watching them find each other.

“If you would have kept it in your pants then he wouldn’t have anything to say.” Relly argued.

“Right, because I was the only one with an obsessive lover.” Ryce grumbled and Relly froze.

“Uht oh.” I whispered.

Relly turned around in Ryce’s lap, probably to glare at him.

“I never had any past lovers. I waited for my mate. You were the one leading someone else on.” She said with a dangerous tone.

Epperly shivered in my lap and I tightened my arms around her.

“You are also the one that killed her so I think we should be even now.” Ryce said with an equally dangerous tone.

The two of them stared at each of a very tense moment before Epperly broke all of the tension by laughing hysterically.

“You guys are arguing about past lovers?” She asked through her laughter.

When neither of them answered her I did.

“Yes they are.” I said amused.

“That’s so silly.” She said still laughing. “Don’t you guys have like, a bunch of kids together? Aren’t you pregnant again?” My mate asked them.

Relly’s body relaxed at Epperly’s words and then she was laughing along with her.

“It is a bit silly isn’t it?” She said.

Ryce pulled her back and kissed her head.

“Very silly.” He agreed.

“So Epperly, how are you liking it so far? And be honest it’s totally okay.” Relly said.

Epperly blew out a loud breath and I kissed her covered shoulder.

“Honestly? It’s been a lot to take in. I’m used to my life moving fast but this was a whole new speed for me. You guys have a HUGE family.” She said with a laugh.

“It’s a lot to take in and it’s honestly hard to relax. I spent so many years running and living in fear… It’s hard to just turn that off. I feel like all of this will just disappear, like it’s almost too good to be true.” She said and I started rubbing up and down the sides of her legs, trying to soothe her.

Relly placed her hand on top of Epperlys.

“You don’t have to wait for the other shoe to drop.” My sister said softly.

“This is your gift from the Moon Goddess. This is what she always intended for you. And besides that you’re a Morningstar now, that should be the other shoe. You’re officially part of the Devil’s family.” Relly told her with a laugh.

Epperly chuckled.

“I guess so. It doesn’t seem that bad to me though.” She said. “You all have been so welcoming to Tate and I, it’s a bit surreal. We’ve been to a lot of places and not everyone is nice. Tate deserves all of the love that you guys have given him.” She said with a smile.

“You both do.” Relly said. “It was really cool to find out that I had another nephew though.” Relly said excitedly.

“Especially one that isn’t an absolute menace.” Ryce grumbled with an eye roll.

Epperly laughed.

“Tate is the best little boy. He’s very sweet, just like his father.” She said and then grabbed my hand to wrap my arm around her.

“Can’t believe it only took you guys one time to get a kid.” Relly said.

“Well, it was one night but not one time, that’s for sure.” Epperly said making me snort and Relly make a gagging noise.

“Gross.” My sister said.

“Sorry.” Epperly said laughing.

“So, Ambrose.” Ryce said getting my attention. “As much as I love this private get together, what was the real reason you asked to meet us?” He asked.

Alpha’s. Always right to the point.

I cleared my throat.

“Earlier Epperly was telling Mom and Dad about a pack that saved her from the lab that humans had her in. Mom said that her and Uncle Liam knew the Alpha of this pack of rouges and witches. When we tried to ask her further about it, she told us to ask you.” I explained to him.

Ryce nodded.

“What’s his name?” He asked Epperly.

Epperly didn’t seem to want to answer. It was times like this that I wish I could mind link her to ask what’s wrong. But then again, my mate isn’t exactly shy.

“What are you going to do to him?” She asked Ryce.

Ryce’s eyes went wide before returning to normal.

“Why would you think I would do anything?” He asked her.

“I’ve heard about the Lycan King and his hatred for rouges.” She said calmly.

Relly and Ryce shared a look before turning back to us.

“You’re talking about Alpha Kiah aren’t you?” Relly asked.

Epperly nodded slowly.

“I know he’s a rouge but he is a good man. He has helped so many people who didn’t have homes. He took me in when he didn’t even know me. And took care of me like I’m his own.” Epperly defended him.

“I agree with Epperly. I don’t want him harmed.” I stated.

Ryce narrowed his eyes at me.

“You’re giving me orders now?” He asked.

I shook my head. “Not at all Alpha.” I replied calmly.

Even mated to my sister Ryce stands no chance. In all honesty if we really faught it would probably never end. Ryce is a helluva fighter and our power matches since he’s marked. It would be useless but that didn’t mean I wouldn’t do it. Like I said, I would do anything for Epperly.

“Well, we don’t have to worry about any of that anyways. Alpha Kiah isn’t a rouge.” Ryce said casually.

“He isn’t?” I asked and Ryce shook his head. “But Mom said that he lost his pack.” I said.

“Alpha Kiah did lose his pack many years ago. He blamed the Anderson’s and the other Alpha’s that betrayed him. About six years ago shortly after we mated.” He said pointing between himself and Relly.

“We met with the man who had taken over Kiah’s pack. Your sister, of course, figured it out. It’s a long story. Something to do with her being pregnant, I don’t know, you’re all so complicated.” He huffed and Relly rolled her eyes.

“Long story short I had the false Alpha locked up and eventually killed. Afterall, the challenge from all those years ago was technically won by Kiah since the other man cheated. After that we went out and found Kiah. Things were tense at first but eventually we made peace. I offered him his pack back who welcomed him with open arms. He also took the rest of the pack he made with him there. I also offered for him to continue to take in rouges if he wanted and I would not stand in the way. His pack has flourished since.” Ryce finished.

“And he has become a very good friend of ours.” Relly said. “He told us about you. At the time I had no idea who you were but now I can see it. He misses you a lot.” She told Epperly.

“He told you about me?” Epperly asked and Relly nodded. “Did he ever find his mate?” Epperly asked.

Relly’s eyes turned sad and I was afraid of what she was about to say.

“Epperly, Kiah found his mate a long time ago. Before you left his pack. He didn’t tell you?” Relly asked her.

Epperly shook her head. “No, I offered to try and help find her but I needed a name and a picture of her to astral project-“

“You can astral project?” I asked interrupting her.

She turned her head to me and nodded before turning back to Relly.

“Why wouldn’t he tell me then?” She asked my sister.

Relly’s face went blank. Oh no. It’s never a good sign when she goes into ‘mission mode’.

“She was already dead when he found her.” Ryce answered.

What are you hiding? I asked through the link.

I thought she knew… Why wouldn’t he tell her? Relly asked.

What are you talking about Relly? I asked.

Epperly hasn’t shifted into a wolf or anything? Relly asked.

Why would she- I stopped as the realization hit me. Kiah’s her father? I asked.

He knew as soon as he found her. He told me that he had no idea she even existed.. Relly said.

And he just sent her out on her own? With no protection? I seethed through the link.

My hold on Epperly grew tighter and she turned to look at me.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

Shaking my head I smiled up at her and kissed her cheek.

“Yeah baby I’m fine.” I lied.

Kiah said that it was the hardest thing he ever had to do but he knew she would be safer that way. That pack wouldn’t have stood a chance against an Angel let alone a God, Ambrose. It’s bad enough that he lost everything in his life, cut him some slack. Relly scolded me.

“I want to meet him.” I said out loud shocking everyone at the table. “Can you put me in contact with him? I’d like to invite him here to see Epperly. She’s missed them all a lot and with spring break in a few weeks, we will have the room to house as many of them that want to come.” I said.

“You would do that for me?” Epperly asked as she turned to face me.

“How many times do we have to-” I started but she put her finger on my lips stopping me.

“I know, I know. I’ll do anything for you Epperly.” She mimicked me and then rolled her eyes.

I clicked my tongue and shook my head at her.

“I’ll give you his number before we leave tomorrow. I’m sure it will be a plesant surprise for both of them.” Ryce said. “But for now, I need to get my mate to bed. She might not look it, but she’s exhausted.” He said.

As soon as the words left Ryce’s lips Epperly yawned.

“Looks like my mate is too.” I said with a chuckle.

Ryce scooped Relly up in his arms and then they disappeared from right in front of us.

“Wow. I don’t know if I will ever get used to that.” Epperly said as she stared at the empty space, then she leaned all the way back on my chest.

With her head right next to my face I kissed her cheek.

“Are you feeling okay?” I asked her as I stood up with her in my arms.

Epperly let out a soft squeal and I moved her around so that I could carry her through the door.

“Is it bad that I don’t really know how I’m feeling?” She asked me honestly.

I shook my head at her as I walked us through the house.

“Not at all.” I said.

I entered our bedroom and lay her on the bed. Epperly let out another yawn as I pulled the covers back. She snuggled in and I covered her back up.

“Can you check on Tate for me?” She asked me.

“Of course my love. And the monitor will be right next to you all night.” I told her as I set it there.

“Thank you Ambrose. For everything.” My mate said with a sleepy smile.

“Anything to make you happy my love.”
