Michael looked up at her, his face cold and frightening.
"These earrings... are they the ones I gave you?"
"Of course. I've kept them carefully, rarely wearing them. Today is our wedding anniversary, so I decided to put them on."
Michael didn't say anything. He walked over to adjust her earrings, actually checking for any engravings.
The earrings he gave her were engraved with her initials, which she didn't know, exposing her completely.
At around six in the evening, the intern pathologist called Michael to confirm that the DNA of the child matched his.
Michael wasn't angry or upset. Instead, he made up an excuse and went out to a pharmacy.
I followed him and saw him buy two types of medication from two different pharmacies.
One was prenatal calcium tablets, and the other was medication for m**l illness. The tablets looked almost identical, but the ingredients were completely different!
He poured out the pills from both types, counted them carefully, and
replaced all the prenatal calcium tablets with the m**al illness medication!
I was stunned and tried to stop him, but he didn't react at all!
After swapping the pills, he even smiled with satisfaction.
"Phoebe, I swear I'll get justice for you! It's all Rachel's fault-she
tricked me, ruined everything, and took both you and our child from me..."
I sneered, wishing I could strangle him.
It's all too late!
The mistakes were his own. Without his indulgence, Rachel would
never have crossed the line.
She's at fault for killing me and our child, but if you're seeking revenge, don't say it's for me!
Who will take responsibility for your own mistakes?!
But my hatred had no effect on Michael.
He continued with his plan.
He deliberately swapped out the calcium tablets and made sure Rachel took them every day.
He started to treat Rachel with cold indifference, casually tormenting
her and deliberately hanging out in shady places, coming home smelling of excess just to provoke her. Desperate and sensitive, Rachel tried repeatedly to win him back, but his cruelty only grew harsher.
With the added influence of the psychiatric medication, Rachel became increasingly erratic and self-destructive, often endangering herself and coming dangerously close to harming herself at home. After over a month, Rachel underwent a four-dimensional ultrasound, and the results were shocking!
The child in her womb had developed severe deformities due to the psychiatric drugs-cleft palate and underdeveloped limbs. The doctor recommended terminating the pregnancy and advised her to be cautious of her surroundings. Such severe deformities were not caused by genetics but by human. actions.
Rachel was driven to the brink of madness, crying and asking Michael what to do. Michael, however, remained unperturbed and coldly replied,
"Then we should remove the child and do an autopsy."
