The Rebel
Chapter 9

“I don’t know the Rebel,” I said, trying to free myself from his grip, but to no avail.

He stared at me without saying a word.

“Don’t lie to me, Vera. I hate lies. Then tell me.”

I deglutinated as I stared at him. Not afraid to lie to him again.

“I said I don’t know the Rebel. Do you need me to take an oath?”

He wasn’t happy with my answer, his fingers wrapped around my neck from behind and he pulled me closer to him.

A cry of surprise escaped my mouth and I stumbled to land on his chest.

“Liar! You’re not capable of hiding things from one of the strongest Alpha, Vera. The Rebel helped you. I’m sure he did. But why are you lying?”

Fire appeared in his eyes, he seemed jealous all of a sudden.

Could I take this opportunity to make him hate me? To get him to leave me alone? I never wanted that kind of companion anyway. The thought crossed my mind and I smiled at him.

“Do you want to know why? Well, because he’s much better than arrogant, pretentious men like you. He respects women, and doesn’t see them as something to be controlled and tamed.”

He frowned and I smiled in my head. Oh, I love the expression on his face.

He looked furious.

He grabbed my hair and pulled it slightly so my chin lifted.

His nose almost touching mine as he breathed heavily against my lips.

“So you know him, huh?”

“I haven’t even shown you a tiny part of the kind of man I really am. So far, I’ve been sweet and gentle with you, Vera. Don’t make me show you my bad side.”

I swallowed, staring into her beautiful eyes. It was true, I knew, I could see him trying to be gentle with me, but it wasn’t going to last for long.

He was a monster either way.

“Now, answer me honestly. How do you know the Rebel?”

And there my friends, I dug my own grave. Looking up at him, I said boldly.

“You’re right, There’s something between the Rebel and me. I love him.”

I told the truth, I was the Rebel and I loved myself, of course.

I said that so he’d hate me, reject me, call me an infidel and a traitor.

But what happened next was nothing like I expected.

He pushed me back against the wall and slammed his fist into my side. The fire in his eyes turned to irrepressible catastrophe.

“What did you say, Vera?”

He ranted angrily, daring me to repeat my words. While I clenched my fist and looked to the side, not wanting to meet his angry eyes.

“You heard me right. He loves me too and I want you to reject me.”

The aura in the room changed suddenly, with his fists clenched on the wall next to me. He was breathing heavily, trying to control his anger, but to no avail.

“In this life, never, Vera,” he declared, resting his face in the crook of my neck. I was trying to push him away from me, when he grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head.

“And the day you try to reject me, I’ll be sure to remind you who owns your body.”

I swallowed as he placed k****s on the marking of my neck. Shivers invaded my body and heat spread between my legs.

“Let go… me…”

Instead, he tightened his grip on me and pressed his body further against me. I held back the m**n that tried to escape my mouth, biting my lips.

Why did it have to be like this? Why was my body so sensitive to her touch.

“Never, Vera,” he said and his teeth pierced my skin, drawing a scream from my mouth.

He placed his palm over my mouth as I lost myself in foreign sensations in my body.

The pain subsided after a few seconds and the sensation that followed made me feel weak and strong at the same time.

What was that? I would like it to stop, but at the same time I would like it to continue until the euphoric climax.

My body was like the Muse in his hands so I felt him put his hands on my waist and back, trying to enhance those sensations even more.

I was lost. Unable to understand what was happening.

I no longer recognized my own body.

It stopped, without marking me entirely. Suddenly bringing me down from the heights of ecstasy.

I struggled to stand as he pulled away from me, smiling at my vulnerable state.

My legs were frozen as I held his arm to steady me, I would have fallen if he hadn’t held me by placing his hands on my waist.

“What… are you… doing… to me…?”, I managed to ask, breathing heavily and looking at him hatefully.

How dare he make me feel like this without my permission, who did he think he was?

He smiled in victory and moved closer to me. His fingers rested on my face.

“Your lips are mine, I can k**s them, Vera.”

Then his finger moved lower to graze my cheek and stop at the spot on my neck he’d just been playing with.

“This skin that is also mine, I can mark it.”

His words, they were still doing something. I blushed and couldn’t concentrate.

His finger moved lower to rest on my thighs and I closed them, afraid he’d discover the wetness between my legs he’d created.

He smiled, knowing why I’d done it. He moved closer and whispered in my ear.

“Your p***y? It’s mine, I’m the one who’s going to f**k it.”

His fingers stopped on my chest and I held my breath. Every word he spoke created a puddle of liquid between my legs.

“What about your uterus? It’s mine too, it’s to carry my little ones, Vera, don’t forget that.”

And that was all. He pulled away from me suddenly and I clung to the wall behind me for support.

The feelings inside me calmed as I stared at him in disbelief.

What had he done to me? How could he control me like this? It felt like this body wasn’t mine.

I stared at him in disbelief as he just smiled, admiring my body from top to bottom.

His eyes darkened, he picked up his jacket, looking at me for one last time.

“Forget him, Vera. Or I’ll make you forget him my way.”

But, what did he mean by that? The idea of sleeping with him made my stomach lurch and I began to swallow.

He wasn’t joking, he was deadly serious and I knew he’d stop at nothing.

He was definitely going to get his hands on the Rebel and that idea scared me after a long moment.

No… He couldn’t know I was the Rebel. No one could know until I was dead.

… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … ….

Logan nodded to Ben, who looked worried.

“Alpha, please think again. This is very dangerous.”

Logan ignored him, staring at the Alpha names on the list.

“Did you call them all?”

“Yes, all of them, Alpha, and they’ve all agreed to join in the attack tomorrow at 8 o’clock. But it’s impossible to win against them, Alpha… It could be dangerous for Luna.”

Logan leaned against the wall and put his hands in his pocket, staring at the wall clock.

“If the Rebel really helps them, he’ll come rescue them tomorrow.”

Ben shook his head awkwardly. He thought this was very dangerous.

“But what if he doesn’t come, Alpha? Luna Vera could die from this, she won’t be able to fight that many Alpha on her own!” he said, but Logan remained silent. He didn’t really seem worried.

“What if that bastard really loves her? He’ll come to rescue her and I’ll capture him.”

“Capturing him will be the greatest accomplishment an Alpha has ever done. It will confirm that I will be the next king.”

Ben nodded.

“Indeed it will, Alpha. But the risk is very high; we’re endangering the Luna.”

Logan sighed and stood up, ready to leave.

“She’ll have to learn that the hard way, Ben, or she’ll never surrender.”

Ben agreed, knowing how stubborn his Luna was.

But he didn’t like the idea of her getting hurt.

Logan seemed less concerned, but Ben knew he also feared for her safety.

He looked cold and unfeeling on the outside, but he had a big heart.

A heart that began to fight for her.

Uncontrollably.
