The Prince’s Abused Mate – Chapter 37

My eyes widen as they meet ruby ones, his eyes look at me gently and a smile slowly appears on his lips.

I keep opening and closing my mouth at the sight of the Prince. he’s observing my moves. My heart pounds and I try to recollect my thoughts. I was told that the vampires and werewolves are working on a peace treaty so we can be seeing some of them.

” Hello,” he finally says. His voice is as gentle as an angel’s. Prince Aiden hasn’t aged one bit. His pale skin is beautiful and flawless, he has a sharp jaw and piercing eyes that are fixated on me. His lips are cherry and when he smiles, I can see his fangs. I get to my feet quickly and nod.

” Hello,” my voice barely a whisper.

” Do you remember me, Amara?” He asks, the way he says my name sends shivers down my spine and I nod. He saved my life back then, and what kind of fool would forget such a face, I’m no fool so I nod my head.

” You’re all grown, little princess,” he says.

I nod again, it’s like I’ve lost my ability to speak. He gets to his feet too and puts his hands into his long coat.

” How have you been, Amara,” I smile softly and produce a sound this time

” Fine, thank you, Prince Aiden,”

” Aiden,”

I squint my eyes in confusion and he smiles ” Call me Aiden, no titles, please,”

” Do you want to walk with me?” He asks. I look around and notice a few guards are not far from us. I sigh and nod. We are walking side by side in the Royal compound, both of us are silent but it’s serene. I feel his eyes on me and when I look at him, he smiles faintly again.

” I’ve been watching you for quite some time now,” he says to me. My heart flips a bit at that but my wolf is not pleased.

” Why?”

” Because I used to think about you a lot, so whenever I’m in the city, I’d look at you from afar,”

” Why didn’t you ever approach,” I ask curiously. He runs a hand through his hair and shrugs his shoulders

” I didn’t know how you’d react to me or if you’d ever remember me,” he sighs, at last, picking up a rose and giving it to me. I smile down at the beautiful flower in my hand and smell it.

” I remember you, Pri- Aiden,”

I’ve always remembered him.

” I’m honestly happy,”

We stop in the queen’s garden and discuss some things about our lives. The vampire Prince asks me questions about my life and what I can do politely. Soon enough, the conversation flows freely.

He’s the new king of vampires and lives not far from the Royal City that’s why they must create a non-hostile environment for both races since we are neighbors.

We continue to walk around when suddenly, a high-pitched growl emits from the sky, we stop walking and look up, a Dragon appeared in the high sky, flapping its gigantic wings easily and making it look bigger each time as it goes down, it’s scales are shining, I’m left impressed by how large and beautiful it is at once. It growls and moves at speed.

Drakon lands not far from us, making the earth shake around us and it huffs out smokes of fire from his snout. I glance over at the vampire Prince beside me, his eyebrows are shot up, and he looks both angry and impressed by the beast. Rhudo is howling and wiggling her tail in excitement, happy that her counterpart is here. She is in love with him and it’s honestly pathetic at times, how can she just forget all he did to us, the bet.

As he walks toward us, his long tail is swaying violently. Once close, the Dragon rubs its snout against my neck and I shiver in delight as I feel his hot breath against my skin. I raise my hand to caress his scales and another low growl emits from him.

” Hey, you,” I continue to scratch his scales and he looks like he’s enjoying it.

” You and the Dragon Prince are mates?” Aiden mutters, more to himself as he watches us in interest. His fingertips caress are caressing his chin. The dragon suddenly snaps its neck to him and he takes a step back.

Drakon Is growling menacingly and I stand between the two.

” Well, what do we have here,” I hear Cole’s voice. I turn to him, Lyon and Jay are following behind.

The huge dragon suddenly shifts back swiftly Into human and glares at Prince Aiden

” What the f**k are you doing here,” Ahyan growls. The Prince only sighs in exhaustion and I see him roll his eyes.

” I came here for a meeting, Prince Ahyan, if you attended the board meeting last week, you’d know that our companies are about to work on a project together, it will strengthen our alliance,” he explains. A man in a guard uniform brings Ahyan some clothes and my wolf whimper, she was enjoying the view of the Prince naked.

Ahyan glances at me one minute before his hot glare goes to Aiden

” Why are you with my mate?” His tone is hard. The vampire prince smiles at me and I smile back, only to piss Ahyan off and I’m right, he growls and almost charges at Aiden.

” Mate,” he says softly, and his eyes go to my neck.

” She’s still unmarked. Amara, you didn’t tell me you have a mate,” He says, tilting his neck silently.

” Unfortunately but it’s good because he rejected me,” I answer.

Ahyan is angry, his chest rising and falling at an incredible speed as he growls at me.

” Go inside, Amara, it’s getting cold,” He says to me but his dark eyes are on Aiden.

I scoff and cross my arms on my chest, showing that I’m not leaving. ” Amara,” my mate calls, his tone angry.

” Prince Aiden and I are taking a walk, and we were discussing something important before you rudely Interrupted us,” I hiss, sending him a glare of my own.

” Yes,” supports Aiden.

Ahyan’s hands clench into a fist and his body is shaking. I see golden scales start to appear on his arm and his eyes are red.

” Ahyan,” Cole calls, warily looking at his best friend. They look agitated now but the vampire prince is calm, and before I can fathom a thing, Ahyan lunges at him and punches him several times in his face, luckily Aiden is quick to shrug him off, he moves incredibly fast and kicks him in the ribcage several times, making my mate stagger a few feet back. I try to go to the two men fighting but Lyon holds my arm, taking me away from the scene while I kick and scream for him to let me go. Jay and Cole are watching as the two Princes fight almost impressed, the fight is brutal and fast, each punching as hard as the other. Ahyan is furious and fire suddenly appears on his fist, and I let out a bloody scream and clench my eyes shut.

” Enough!” I hear a growl that makes my insides shake with fear and my wolf whimper at the command.

I slowly open my eyes and see that Ahyan’s hand stopped mid-air and it’s now consumed with flames. I watch the king walk toward us, his eyes angry. Lyon lets go of me finally.

” What is going on here? Ahyan, King Aiden,”

The king is glaring at them and he looks taller than he already is.

Ahyan is glaring at his father, a little annoyed.

” Dad, why is he still here?”

” Prince Ahyan is this how you treat guests?” He questions angrily.

” I don’t want to see him around here, and the f*****g bastard was with my mate!” He hisses, glaring at Aiden, the king’s eyes are on me and I immediately face the ground.

” Son, calm down,” he says in a softer tone as he walks closer to Ahyan, he put a hand on his shoulder and the fire disappears.

Aiden is back to looking calm and a smirk appears on his lips

” I see you still have a hard time controlling your temper,”

Prince Ahyan almost charges at him again but he is held down by the king.

” Go inside, we’ll talk later. I want to talk to King Aiden,” he orders. Ahyan nods and walks past me but suddenly stops to look at me, his eyes soften a little but I can tell he is still angry. He grabs my hand and takes me in with him, his friends following behind. He is growling lowly in his chest and he doesn’t acknowledge anyone as he keeps opening doors. He finally stops on a huge ornate one and opens it. Once we are in, only then does he let me go. I notice we are in a huge game room just like the one back at the cabin, it is well furnished with different games and a bar. Ahyan goes to the mini bar and picks a bottle of what looks like Irish whiskey, without pouring it into a glass, he drinks directly from the bottle. His friends keep busy with other things, while Jay and Lyon are playing pool, Cole puts on headphones and plays a game in front of a huge screen.

Ahyan’s gaze is on me and I hold it, not blushing for the first time.

” Do you know Aiden?” He asks. I nod, sitting on the couch.

” How do you know him, Amara?”

” It’s none of your business, Prince Ahyan,”

He walks closer to me, towering over me.

” How the f**k do you know that d**k?” He asks slowly. His eyes went between dark and red.

” He was probably hitting on her, just look at her man, Amara is not only a delicious snack but a full meal,” Jay shouts from the other part of the room, a growl tears from Ahyan’s chest and I glare at Jay who only winks at me.

” The Vampire saved my life once when rogues attacked us,” I say in a small voice. Ahyan sits next to me, his face show concern.

” It was years ago, ” I add. He holds my hand and warmth spread through my body. His friends are sending discreet glances at us as it is so quiet. I inhale his scent and wrap my arms around him, I feel him stiffen before he relaxes and moves his hands to hold my waist. I feel f*****g hot, too hot!
