It had been two days since Alina woke up.

She was going to be discharged today. She felt less pain in her legs now. Pack Doctor Liam told him that she was okay now. She ran too much and did not take any medicines when she felt pain, so her legs lost most of their calcium.

She remembered how she tried to run and get caught by Aaron. She felt shiver when Aaron’s wolf came to her mind.

She shook her head. ‘You can not be afraid of him anymore. You have to be stronger. You can not let any other destroy your life like before.’

Beta Max came to take her with him. “Let’s go.”

Alina got in the car and sat beside Beta Max in the back seat.

“Where is Alpha Rick?”

“He will come to the pack house directly. He is now at some work.”

“Oh.”

“Do you need anything?”

“No. But I want to thank you. You saved my life.”

“No, it’s nothing.” Beta Max smiled at her.

“No, I think all the Betas are the best and more intelligent than their kings or Alphas. You Betas are so sensible. You all always try to save others’ lives.”

Alina said and thought about Beta Lucas. Lucas was also a Beta. And here was another Beta. Both of them saved me from different situations.

Alice thought about Lucas. She wanted to know if he was safe or not.

“Can I ask you something?” She asked Beta Max.

“Sure.”

“Do you know anything about Beta Lucas?”

“Beta Lucas?”

“Hmm.”

“What about him?”

“Is he fine? Is he okay in his pack?”

“What would happen to him? I met him last week, he was totally okay.”

“Really??”

“Yes, but why do you look so happy?

Alina shook her head. “It’s nothing. I was just thinking about her safety. He saved my life too.”

“How?”

“I can not tell anyone about it.”

“Okay, sounds a secret.”

“Does anyone in King Aaron’s realm know about living here?”

“No, I don’t think so. Rick told us not to talk about you when we went to his pack.”

“Alpha Rick also went there?”

“No, he didn’t go this time. I went there with our Gamma.”

“Okay.”

Alina felt relaxed that Beta Lucas was fine. Otherwise, she was worried about him all these two days. Now she was relieved.

Alina thought about Aaron. How could he be so calm? Why did he not send people after her? Or he did but she was unconscious in bed so they could not find her who knew?

This pack was also beautiful. It was neat and clean.

The car stopped in the pack house. She got down from the car after Beta Max.

“Let’s go. Rick’s parents are waiting for you.”

Alina was stunned. “Waiting for me?”

Beta Max nodded to her. “Yes, waiting for you. Rick has already told them about you and they are desperately waiting for you.”

Alina felt nervous. She did not like Dave so she did not have to impress his parents for him. But she was going to meet with the former Alpha and Luna.

She was thinking about the former Alpha and felt more nervous. Because her last experience was very bad.

The way King Atlas behaved with her all the time as if she was some kind of trash. So she was afraid that Alpha Rick’s father would treat her like that. She came from out of the pack. No parents, no home, and an Omega, so overall she was good for nothing.

She knew her parents were okay there. King Aaron would not give her punishment to her parents, at least she hoped so.

Alina entered the pack house and saw a middle aged couple talking and laughing with each other.

Looking at them Alina was surprised.

Alina went to them and bowed to them.

They saw her bowing and immediately stood up.

‘My child, you don’t have to do that. We are not the head Alpha and Luna anymore.” The man said.

Alina was shocked by his behavior. He was so gentle and talked with her in a friendly way.

The woman also smiled at her. “We were waiting for you. Come and sit here.”

Alina went to her and sat between them.

“My child, tell us about you.” The woman said.

Alina was confused about what to tell them. She could not say anything to them. If they knew the truth they would tell her to go away or hand her to King Aaron. So she was quiet.

The former Luna thought she was a shy girl so she was about to stroke her head but when her hand touched her head she looked shocked.

Alina felt she looked like she saw a ghost. She immediately held her hand.

“What happened to you?” Alina asked her.

The former Luna shook her head slightly and asked her in a Lower tone.

“Where are you from?”

Alina felt scared. She thought the former Luna had heard about her so she was asking about her pack.

But she had to answer her truthfully.

“B-Black Moon Pack.”

Hearing that the former Alpha and Luna both of their eyes widened.

“Black Moon pack! Did you come here from there? When did you come here, my child? Where are your parents?” The former Alpha asked her.

Alina now felt nervous. She did not know why they were behaving like this. Of course, they would ask about her parents but why does this look as if they were looking at a ghost?

“They are in Black Moon Pack.” She replied.

They were silent for a long time as if they were talking with each other in their mind links.

“How do you know Rick?” The former Luna asked.

Alina cursed Alpha Rick that why he did not come yet and why didn’t he tell his parents about her. Now, what would she answer his mother?

She was about to tell her that she saw Alpha Rick in her pack. But before she could say anything she heard Alpha Rick,

“We know each other from our University.”
