“Where Are You?”

Alina’s heart beat became faster.

“I am at the village fair.”

“With whom?”

“With everyone. Crystal, Aunt Daisy and Uncle Atlas are with me.”

“Okay.”

“Where are y-” Before she could ask him where he was, he cut the call.

Alina felt relaxed in her heart. He was totally okay. She heard his voice.

These days she was thinking about him all the time.

Now he called her, she was feeling relaxed.

‘Maybe he is busy. What happened to the war? Did he win it? Of course he has won it. Otherwise, how could he call me? But when will he come back?’ Alina thought and looked back.

She was stunned when she saw she came far away from where she was standing.

She did not realize she was walking on the other side while talking on the phone.

“Where are they?” Alina asked herself and tried to find them.

The crowd was heavy. So she could not find them.

She immediately tried to call Crystal. But Crystal did not receive her call.

‘She is not hearing the ringtone because of the crowd, now what will I do?’ Alina thought.

Meanwhile,

Crystal and Daisy bought some sky lanterns. The owner of the stall looked very happy when he saw the former Queen came with another woman who dressed like a Queen. He assumed that she would be their future Queen.

When Daisy and Crystal came out of the stall, Daisy saw Atlas was talking with some villagers alone.

Daisy went to him and Crystal followed her. She gave those sky lanterns to the guards.

Daisy patted Atlas. “Why are you alone? Where is Alina?”

Atlas frowned at her. How would he know where that girl was? He was talking with some villagers and asked them if there were any problems in the village people were having.

People did not know who he was but they saw the royal cloth and brooches, so they immediately understood who he was.

“How would I know?” Atlas replied.

“But she was with you.”

“No, I saw her following you two.”

Daisy tried to look for Alina but because of the crowd she could not find her.

Crystal also looked for Alina.

“Crystal” Daisy called.

“Yes?”

“Call Alina. You have her number right?”

“Yes. But Aunt Daisy, I came here without my phone. I left my phone in my room.”

Daisy did not look impressed. “Why do you even use a phone when you leave it in your room?”

“Don’t scold her, Daisy. She is just a child. She forgot to take the phone with her. It is not her fault.”

Daisy looked at Atlas. “Why do you always think I scold her? I am just saying the facts. Now she forgot her phone, what if it was not Alina but her who lost?”

Atlas did not reply to her.

Crystal looked angrily at Daisy when Daisy was searching for Alina.

‘This woman always cares for Alina. Can’t she see how good I am to be his son’s Queen? Let me be the Queen then I will see who will scold me.’

At another side,

Alina was walking in the crowd. She tried to find others but when she saw she was lost she took a deep breath.

‘I think I have to enjoy being alone.’

She was trying to enjoy the fair. But she was afraid too. She was an Omega. Not only Omega but also an Unmated Omega. Her scent could attract anyone and anyone could do anything to her.

Though it was a gathering so no one would dare to do anything in front of everyone but still a woman should always think about her safety first.

She was walking alone and saw some villagers gathered left side and a big stage was there.

Alina stopped walking and asked a salesman. “Can you tell me, what is happening there?”

The salesman looked at her and asked, “Are you new to this place?”

Alina nodded at him. “Yes.”

“That’s why you don’t know about the fair play.”

“Fair Play?”

“Yes, Every year villagers arrange fair play for all the visitors. Some villagers played the role of the King and Queen. Then some played other characters. It was totally a storytelling role play.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah, They arranged this to entertain visitors, specially the town side people who came to the village only for this village fair.”

Alina was amazed. “Is it free?”

“Yeah, it’s free but it is very crowded.”

“I see.”

Alina then started to go there. She also wanted to see the role play.

She tried to enter the crowd. She got inside and stood beside some women who came to see the role play too.

“Tell me, King. Why can’t you accept me? Is it because I am not high ranked like you?”

Alina heard this and looked forward. She saw a teenage girl wearing a costume like Crystal wore today. But it did not look expensive like Crystal. So everyone could understand that it was a costume for role playing.

Beside the girl, a teenage boy stood there.

“No, we can not be together.”

“Why my king, why?”

“Don’t you know I am very powerful? I am Lycan. The most powerful creature in the werewolf world.” The boy said and everyone clapped after hearing this.

Alina looked around at everyone then she clapped too.

“I know everything, my king. But I can’t accept your rejection. Why are you rejecting me?” The girl cried and asked.

“You are a low life. You can’t compare yourself with me. I will kill you if you tell anyone about our mate bond. I don’t want anyone to know about us.” The boy said angrily.

Alina looked at them and remembered that Aaron told her something like that.

Alina heard other people. “The young boy is handsome. They tried to give a great visual because they knows our King is very handsome.”

“Yes, but he is very arrogant too. That is why the boy is behaving like this.”

Alina turned her head to the girl and asked, “Have you ever seen the king?”

“What are you saying? Nobody has seen the king. Only the wolves who were always with him and went to the pack house saw him. After he became the king, there was no war here. So nobody could see him.

Some villagers said he came here once and they got to know that because of his Royal cloth. That was when everyone explained how handsome he was.”

“But I thought villagers know him because they know four officials.”

“It is because only officials came here to discuss any matter with us. But our King, he does not have time to visit around. After his coronation, he did not attend any single village fair.”

“Oh.”

“The role play you are seeing, it’s called ‘Rejected Queen’. Everyone says our King is mateless.

So people here assumed that Our king had a mate but he rejected her. Otherwise, how can a powerful wolf be mateless?” Another girl said.

Alina got to know villager’s thoughts about their King.

The role play finished some minutes later and then Alina tried to move fast from the crowd.

All the people who were watching the role play came out from that side. So Alina tried to walk faster.

Alina thought about that role play. It was not totally wrong though. Aaron thought of rejecting her at first.

However things had changed now and he was not okay with the rejection anymore.

Alina thought about how her life was about to be like the rejected Queen whom she watched in the role play.

Alina began to walk and saw a few couples were walking together while holding each other’s hand.

Alina smiled at them sadly. She was missing Aaron. She thought she should not think about it because those women told her, he did not come here for years.

Alina knew he was in the war or maybe he won the war and came back soon. But she wanted him here. She imagined him walking here with her and enjoying the fair.

‘How childish I am! Thinking about something that can not happen is bad, Alina. You will be crazy thinking like that.’ Alina told herself.

She was in her own thoughts and did not see another crowd coming in front of her.

Suddenly she felt a pull.

Someone pulled her wrist and she bumped into a hard chest.

She immediately looked up at the man who pulled her.

“Y-You are here?”
