Beta Lucas went to Aaron’s office and saw he was not there. He understood Aaron went to his own room so he left for Aaron’s bedroom.

When he opened the door of Aaron’s bedroom he saw that Aaron was standing in front of the window.

Aaron was thinking about everything. He was angry at his father who always picked up a fight with his best friend. Today he crossed the limit. Just because Lucas went to visit somewhere with Alina, he put allegations against Lucas.

Then he was thinking about what Darren and Crystal said to him today. He did not like what they were saying about the pack fighter. Looked like he needed to find him.

He smelled Lucas and then Lucas came to his room. Lucas did not need to knock on his door, he gave him the right to open the door without knocking.

“Aaron” Beta Lucas said.

“Where did you go with her?” Aaron asked without turning to him.

Beta Lucas paused his steps.

“I was just showing her the forest side, Aaron.”

“Why did you need to go with her? You can tell anyone to give him company.”

“No, I want to go with her.”

Aaron turned to him while looking with his dark eyes.

“What? Now you also doubt me like your father?” Beta Lucas asked.

“You know I can doubt anyone but you.”

“Then what’s wrong?”

“I don’t like people putting blame on my Beta for some new woman who came just now to visit my realm for a month.”

“Aaron, she is not just a woman but your mate.”

Aaron went to the couch and sat there. He took the packet of cigarettes and pulled out two cigarettes. He gave one to Beta Lucas and took one for himself.

Beta Lucas took the cigarette from him and took the lighter from the table.

“Let me do it for you.” He said.

Aaron put the cigarette into the middle of his lips. Beta Lucas lit the lighter for him and lit the cigarette.

He went to sit beside Aaron and they started to smoke.

“Aaron, it feels like our school days when five of us smoked on the rooftop. If anybody saw us they would not dare to say anything because of our fathers. But they were afraid of you.”

“Not me but my rank.”

“It’s the same thing, Aaron.”

“No, it’s not Lucas.” Aaron said and puffed on the cigarette and blew the smoke from his nose.

“What do you mean?”

“If I am not a Lycan, do you think they would be afraid of me? No, they would not.”

Lucas understood what he was trying to say. Aaron tried to make him understand about Alina.

Beta Lucas inhaled the smoke deep and exhaled it.

“I talked with her today.”

Aaron was just listening. He knew Lucas was talking about Alina.

“She told me that you don’t want to accept her as your mate.”

“I did.”

“Now she wants you to-“

Aaron raised his hand and stopped him from talking. He didn’t want to hear about that woman.

“I will not accept her no matter how much she begged in front of me to accept her. She doesn’t deserve me. She doesn’t have the rank to rule my kingdom beside me. She has nothing to give me. I can’t accept her and that is final. I am just giving her time to prepare herself for the rejection. After that, I will reject her.”

Beta smirked at him and smashed his cigarette on the ashtray.

“What?” Aaron frowned at him.

“I don’t have a mate. So I am very amazed to see you both.”

“What do you mean?”

“You two think the same thing. You two even talk the same.”

“Rubbish.”

“Believe me, she told me the same thing that she doesn’t deserve you. So it is good that you will reject her as soon as possible.”

Aaron looked at Lucas. “You are telling me she is okay with the rejection? “

“Yes, yes buddy. She is even happy that you are rejecting her.” Beta Lucas said and winked at him.

“Didn’t she cry when I told her about the rejection? How can she agree so fast?”

“Maybe she understood that you are too unromantic.”

“What did you say?” Aaron raised an eyebrow.

“What? Do you think I am lying to you? Of course, she thought that. Otherwise, who will reject the Lycan king?”

“She doesn’t have the ability to reject me. I told her about the rejection, okay?”

“Oh please, Aaron. You do know that. Nobody dares to say no to you. If anyone else would be here in her place, she would be begging you to accept her. But look at her. She told me to tell you about this.”

Aaron leaned his back on the couch. “What more she said to you?”

“She said that you don’t need to wait for any time. She is prepared for the rejection. You can reject her soon so that she can go away from here.”

“She said that? I see.”

“Not only that but also she said that if you want to reject her today, it will be okay with her. Tomorrow she will leave the pack after rejection. All she is waiting for is your decision.”

Aaron was silent as if he was thinking about something.

Beta Lucas stood up and said, “I have some work to do so I am going now. But let me tell you, this woman is not like others. She is okay to let you go from her hands, can you imagine? I must say she is the perfect Queen for us.”

Aaron glared at him.

“Okay okay, think about that. I am going now.” Lucas said and left the room.

Aaron put the cigarette bud on the ashtray and thought about it for some time. He got angry again. This woman could only make him angry and nothing else. She was crying yesterday for him and today she was okay with him rejecting her?

Aaron thought about something and smirked,

“Looks like you are very eager to meet your lover and make him your new mate.

THEN WHY NOT MAKE YOU WAIT A LITTLE LONGER?”
