The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 45

Roars and snarles filled the air, as the pack fought with the rouges. Zander ran towards the leader, wiping out wolves with his bare hands left and right as he fought to reach him. Josh took charge of the left-hand side of the field, as Robin commanded the right-hand side of the field. Looking around, he could see that the Silverback Pack were managing to hold their own, a tribute to the extra training Robin had ordered, but they were still not up to the standard of the Crescent moon pack. He saw a rogue approaching one of the Silverback Pack warriors, who seemed to panic and shifted into his wolf too early. The sound of a whimper from him echoed out, as the rouge bit down onto his back leg.

“Stay in human form, do not shift yet!” Robin bellowed across to the silverback pack, before he lost even more of his men.

A rogue attacked him, but he swung onto it’s back and pulled it to the floor, snapping its neck as he did so.

Ethan saw the injured warrior, and ran over to him where he lay, placing his hand on the wolf, he was healed almost instantly.

Zander saw that Ethan was still on the field, it was too late to demand him to go to safety. Instantly he mind linked with the young wolf.

Ethan, get back to the rear of the group, we will have the injured come to you. You will be too exposed in the field.

Ethan quickly headed to the back of the battlefield and waited for the injured to be brought to him.

A wolf jumped towards Zander, whilst he was slightly distracted.

Josh took hold of the jaws of a rogue who was trying to bite him, then pulling them apart, and with a firm grip on it he kicked into its stomach, the rogue fell instantly, shifting back to human, as he lay dead on the field.

Lacey grabbed hold of a rogue jumping up above it, she shifted mid flight, and bit down on its neck, ripping out its flesh, chunk by chunk.

Zander felt the pain of wolf canines biting his arm. He immediately shifted into Caesar, the change disorientating the rouge who had attacked him. Caesar was almost twice its size, and snapped his large jaws around the rouge’s stomach, the head of the wolf protruding out of one side of his mouth, the legs dangling to the front, and its tail out the other side. Caesar bit down then shook his head fast, before spitting out the corpse of the rouge to the ground. He stalked forwards, Caesar’s eyes never leaving those of the rouge leader.

As the Crescent Moon pack and Silverback pack advanced, more and more dead rogue bodies littered the ground beneath them, b***d soaking the grass. Lacey was fighting a rouge, as she bit down on its neck, she felt herself flying into the air, she landed on her side, and pain ripped through her body, as a rouge bit onto her side, tearing a chunk of flesh from her body.

Robin felt the intense pain of his mate’s injury, as he disposed of two smaller wolves together, then ran back to her position. Jumping on the back of the familiar grey wolf, he clamped his jaws around his neck. The Wolf howled out in pain, as he shifted back to his human body. Robin growled, the former Delta Kirkstone lay dying on the ground. Lacy shifted back to her human form, close to death, as Ethan ran towards her, Robin stood guard, as Ethan touched Lacey, himself wincing from the transferred injury. Lacey had lost a lot of b***d, her injuries were more than he had tried to heal before, and Ethan did not know if she could save her.

Caesar reached the leader of the rogues, who moved backwards, fear in his eyes. As the Rogue leader surveyed the battle field, he let out a howl and the remaining wolves began to beat a retreat, then he turned and ran. Caeser made chase, determined to finish off the wolf that dared to attack his pack, but they were on the border, and soon the rouge stepped beyond the imaginary line. Caesar wanted to follow but Zander had to restrain him.

“We cannot cross the boarder, not without council permission” Zander reminded his vengeful wolf.

“f**k the council, they attacked us, let me finish the coward!” Caesar howled back his response.

” No Caesar, let me have back control, it will cause more issues, and we do not want an investigation, especially with our Mate being a royal princess. They cannot find out, not yet!” Zander reasoned with his wolf.

Caesar was unmoved, and still attempted to step forward and break the boundary.

“Caesar No, let me have control, you are putting Chloe and Sheber in danger if you do this.” Zander bellowed in his mind at his wolf.

Pushing himself forward, Zander regained control of Caesar, shifting back to his human form and stood in front of the rouge leader. Of the fifty or so rouges that had attacked his pack, only four survived.

“You are nothing but a coward, come over here and face me like a man!” Zander challenged the rouge.

The rouge turned his back on Zander and fled, what remained of those who had fought with him following behind.

Robin cradled Lacey in his arms. She was alive, her wounds healed, but she needed b***d. Lifting her limp body up, he ran to the hospital where Dr Keto waited.

“Beta, bring her in” he beckoned, as Robin growled at anyone getting close to his mate.

Laying her on the bed, he placed a white sheet to cover her nakedness, as the doctor began to work on her.

Zander and Josh rushed to the hospital, to be by Robin’s side. As they arrived, they saw her hooked up to monitors, a drip containing b***d hung from a stand beside her, attached to her hand.

Robin stood with his eyes never leaving his mate.

“How is she?” Zander immediately asked.

Robin remained silent, his mind could not focus on anything but his beautiful Lacey, who lay deathly pale.

Dr Keto approached them.

“Alpha’s, Beta. Lacey is going to be okay. If it weren’t for Ethan healing her as he did, she would have succumbed to her injuries. We should be thankful. She needs a b***d transfusion, but once we do that, she will be back to normal, go sit with her.” Dr Keto smiled.

Everyone let out an audible sigh of relief when the large double doors opened, and Terrance carried a limp Ethan into the hospital.

Chloe looked around, the children were all in bed, fast asleep. Pacing the floor nervously, she waited for news of what was happening. Suddenly, Ellie wiped a tear from her eye and looked up at Chloe.

“What is it?” Chloe asked.

“Ethan, it is Ethan.” Ellie began to sob.

Nicki gasped in shock, her hands going to her mouth, as Cheryl held her daughter.

Chloe stood, all she wanted was to slump to the floor and cry, but she could not do that, she had to remain strong. Walking over to Ellie, she gathered the girl to her, as Caroline watched on in shock, holding on tight to her youngest child, Tom.

“Is he…..” Chloe’s voice trailed off, she could not ask the question, because she did not want to know the answer.

Zander stormed down to the dungeon, as Josh closely followed him. He was going to make Oli pay for what he had done.

“Open his cell!” Zander bellowed as he growled at Oli.

Oli gave a smug smile, as Zander grabbed hold of him by his shoulder-length hair, and dragged him out of the cell towards the back wall, before his guard clamped him in sliver chains, leaving him handing like on a crucifix.

Oli cried out in pain from the burn of his chains, as Zander punched him in the stomach. Oli let out a menacing laugh once more.

“Go on, hurt me, my pathetic mate will feel every punch. After all, she did not reject me.” Oli taunted Zander.

“Zander stop!” Josh shouted out as his brother went to punch Oli once more.

“Bring Cheryl down here NOW!” Zander’s voice raged, desperate to get his revenge.

Josh walked out of the dungeon and made his way to the safe room, his naked body covered in b***d. He opened the door, and Nicki immediately ran to him, throwing herself against him, tears running down her face.

Cheryl lay on the floor, crying out, her wrists burnt, and the pain in her stomach was almost crippling her.

“Cheryl, on me, now” Josh commanded, his voice lacking any emotion.

“What, no, she is hurting, we don’t know why?” Nicki cried out to Josh.

“Not now Nicki, trust me, little froggy, it will be okay, but she needs to come with me right now so that we can stop the pain for her.” he whispered softly to his mate, before taking hold of Cheryl by the arm and leading her to the dungeon.

Cheryl gasped as she saw her mate chained up against the wall, tears streamed down her face, as she looked at him snarling at her.

“Cheryl, you need to accept his rejection right now, so you do not feel what we are going to do to him.” Josh explained.

Cheryl nodded her head and let out another whimper, her heart breaking for the Mate she believed he was, not the one he had turned out to be.

“I, Cheryl Davis, accept your rejection, Oliver Curtis formally of the Ullswater Pack and Rogue, and break the bonds that exists between us.” She said, her voice steady as she looked him straight in the eyes.

Instantly Oli began to howl, the pain in his heart felt like he would die, as Cheryl slumped against Joshua, pain washing over her, but the burning on her wrists and her stomach instantly felt better.

“It will not last long, you are so brave Cheryl.” Josh whispered softly to his future mother-in-law. Then once he felt her relax against him, he turned and nodded to Zander, who instantly began to punch and kick Oli, as he cried out, his head hanging low to his chest.

“Who sent you!” Zander demanded,

Oli refused to speak.

“WHO f*****g SENT YOU” Zander bellowed again as his fist connected with Oli’s jaw.

“I do not know his name. It was true, I did leave the Ullswater pack, but only because I was cast out. For years, the bond caused me to suffer. Every time she had s*x with that man, every time he hit her caused me pain, making me weak. I was useless to my Alpha, so he commanded that I leave. I lived like a human in Stirling for years. But then I knew she was back, and I wanted to cause her the pain she had caused me. I had lost everything, my pack,my position, my family, and she went and f*****g married another. I knew she was here, so I came so that I could cause her to suffer, like she had caused me to suffer. I wanted her to loose everything. I was approached in the woods”. Oli let out a laugh.

“It seems that you have pissed off a lot of people, Alpha, they want rid of you, and they will not stop, and now, because they were approached by those you decided to evict, they know everything about your pack, and your weak spots. This is not over, so kill me, I do not care, I only wish my death could have caused that unfaithful b***h more pain.” Oli laughed, as Zander took his head in his hands and violently twisted them, braking his neck.

Zander stormed out of the dungeon, and headed towards the safe room. He wanted his mate, he needed her. As he opened the door, he grabbed Chloe and held her to him.

“What happened, Ellie said something about Ethan.” Chloe looked up at him, her eyes wide with fear of what he was about to tell her.

“I am sorry Chloe. Lacey was seriously injured, she was close to death, when Ethan ran to heal her. She is going to be okay, but when the injuries were transferred to Ethan’s body, he was unable to cope with them all at once. He has not yet fully been trained. He is in a coma, we do not know if he will survive the night.”
