The Headmaster Alpha's Mate
The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 41

Chloe felt exhilarated on the back of Zander’s motorbike, as they rode down the country roads of Scotland. After around 20 minutes, they pulled up outside a large building that had been refurbished into a 1950’s style American Diner. Zander jumped off the bike before effortlessly lifting Chloe into his arms. Undoing her helmet, he took it off and placed a loving k**s on her sweet lips.

“We are going to be busy this weekend, well I am, so I thought we should grab a date night.” Zander smiled.

Chloe blinked up at him and smiled, thankful her mate was so considerate of her, and their relationship.

“I brought you here, because I was 18 in the 1950’s and I really wanted you to experience a little of what it was like.” Zander grinned down at her.

“This is cool, I feel like a pink lady from Grease.” Chloe giggled as Zander took her hand and led her in through the double glass doors.

The diner walls were painted white, different posters for 1950’s bands adorned the walls, with a large framed picture of James Dean behind the circular bar area.

The chairs were red leather, a set of booths on the back wall. To the right was a large juke box, amber lights flashing and an older couple who looked in their eighties placed their pound coin in the slot and selected a track, before they headed back to their table, obviously enjoying their trip down memory lane. Zander led Chloe to a booth and sat opposite her.

“So, when I was a teenager, if a boy liked a girl, they played footsie.” Zander grinned, rubbing his foot against Chloe’s.

Giggling Chloe reciprocated the action, as they picked up the laminated menu from the stand at the bottom of the table that also had an array of sauces, along with salt and pepper in them.

A waitress arrived dressed in a hot pink circle skirt, a white blouse tucked in, with a red belt, she had plimsoles on her feet and a pair of white ankle socks. She was in her early twenties, and her eyes trailed up and down Zander as she licked her lips. Chloe grinned, the waitress could look as much as she liked, but she knew Zander belonged to her, and only her.

“Can I take your order?” The waitress asked, eyes never leaving Zander.

Zander smiled at Chloe.

“What would you like to eat, my gorgeous girlfriend?” he asked, making his point that he was taken to the waitress.

“Can I have the American Burger and fries please?” Chloe asked the waitress, but her eyes never left her mates.

“Make that two.” Zander ordered, again keeping his focus on Chloe..

“Now, what would you like to drink?” Zander grinned at Chloe.

“Cola please.” Chloe ordered, only this time she looked at the waitress and gave her a grin.

“Again, make that two,” Zander said.

The waitress sashayed away from their table, the net from her underskirt audibly crinkling as she went to get the food. Zander lent over the table closer to Chloe, as she met him in the centre for a stolen k**s.

Three Steps to heaven by Eddie Cochrane began to fill the diner, as the old couple grinned at each other, Chloe noticed they were having a game of footsie of their own.

“Isn’t it lovely to see old couples still in love like that?” Chloe mused out loud.

“That old couple, as you referred to them, are probably younger than I am” Zander laughed.

Chloe scrunched up her face, then giggled.

“I keep forgetting about that.” She whispered, as Zander smirked, thinking how cute she looked. He lent over the table once more to steal a quick taste of her lips on his.

The crinkling of the net underskirt as the waitress approached them disturbed their moment, she placed the food and bottles of cola down in front of them without a word. Then she walked away from them, clearly unhappy that Zander paid her no attention whatsoever.

The burger was huge, fresh lettuce and tomatoes peaked out of the side, two ground beef pates that looked home-made rather than what you get at a fast food restaurant sat on a sesame-seeded bun.

“Wow, I am never going to be able to eat all this.” Chloe said, as Zander picked up one of his fries and popped it into his mouth.

“Whatever you leave, I will finish off.” He grinned at her.

“Cheryl is all settled into her new cottage. However, tomorrow I really need to do pack work. I need to find out about the rouges.” Zander softly sighed.

“Yes, it is important.” Chloe nodded her head at him.

“Well, Cheryl said that she would like to go with you and Nicki to the shopping centre, to buy things for her new home. I offered the pack to pay for it, but she insisted she spent her husband’s money, stating, and I quote, ‘I will enjoy spending every last penny of his beloved cash’.” Zander chuckled.

Chloe laughed, happy that Nicki’s mum was starting to come out of her shell a little.

“She also asked if she could work, her husband would never let her take a job. I am thinking she could help out at the school, and maybe take over from Lacey once she is trained. Or do you think something else would be better for her?” Zander asked.

“No, I think that would be perfect. Nicki and I were saying earlier that Lacey has far too much to do. I will try and do what I can on a weekend for Crescent Moon, but if she has help at school as well, that will free her up to do what she needs to with Robin at Silverback.” Chloe nodded in agreement.

“Also, tomorrow, get yourself some new clothes and things you want to keep at the packhouse. It makes more sense, rather than you having to pack up your things each Friday.” Zander smiled.

“Thank you, has anyone ever told you, you are amazing.” Chloe smiled up at her handsome mate.

“Not lately, but I happen to think that it is you who are the amazing one princess,” Zander chuckled.

Chloe blushed slightly, then to hide her embarrassment she shrugged,

“You’re not wrong.” She laughed.

They finished off their burgers, and Zander ordered two traditional knickerbocker glories. Chloe laughed as the tall glass arrived filled with fruit cream and ice cream, then picking up the cherry off the top, she placed it into Zander’s mouth.

“Want to taste my cherry?” she asked, giggling.

“Always princess” Zander laughed before seductively sucking the fruit into his mouth.

“I think when we are finished shopping, I will hang out with Ethan as well. He is such a good friend, plus it will be cool to get to know some of the other pack members.” Chloe grinned at Zander.

“Good, look, Chloe, I do not want you to worry about the rogues, I will sort it out.” Zander whispered to her.

“I am not worried at all, I know you will. For some reason, none of this feels strange or frightening to me.” Chloe shrugged.

Finishing off their knickerbocker glories, Zander walked over to the juke box, and placed a coin in it and chose a song, then he ushered Chloe to the side of the diner where a small area for dancing was set up.

“Now, I have to teach you how to jive.” Zander laughed.

“Please, no throwing me about, not after all that food!” Chloe exclaimed.

Zander chuckled as Rock Around The Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets came on and he began to twirl Chloe around, as she desperately tried not to trip over her feet, bringing her back into his arms. He snaked one around her small waist and tipped her backwards. Zander placed a soft k**s on her lips as the song came to it’s end. The old couple watched on smiling, then both of them clapped when the song finished, as Chloe giggled embarrassed into Zander’s chest.

“Well, all good things must come to an end. Let’s head back to 2022.” Zander grinned down at her.

Picking up their helmets, Zander paid the bill, and led Chloe out, waving a little at the old couple.

“Did you enjoy that?” He asked, as he placed the motorcycle helmet onto her head.

“Yes, it was amazing, I loved it. It was a great surprise”. Chloe smiled happily.

“Talking of surprises princess, I cannot wait to see what you did with our room.” Chloe’s eyes widened, knowing that he would hate every last bit of the teenage girlie girls’ room. She began to feel guilty that she had done what she did as revenge for him sleeping with other women before he met her.

They rode back to the pack. Entering the packhouse, everyone nodded and welcomed them with a.

“Alpha, Luna”.

Taking Chloe’s hand, Zander led her up to the Alpha floor. Chloe’s steps got slower and slower as they approached the bedroom door.

Zander opened it, and stood looking around. The walls were painted a pastal pale lilac, the huge white bed was surrounded by white fluffy fairy lights, the white furniture all had carved flowers on them, a large lilac sofa sat in the room with white and lilac fluffy cushions, along with some sliver sequenced ones. The pictures on the walls were of flowers, all with glitter on the edges of the petals. Chloe rolled her lips together, as she saw the shock in his face.

“Do you like it?” she tried not to giggle as she asked.

“Erm, do you?” Zander asked. He hated it, but if this was what his mate liked, then he would learn to love it for her sake.

“Not really, it looks like a barbie threw up in the room.” Chloe began to laugh.

“I am sorry, I was still really pissed off with you when I ordered all this girlie shit.” Chloe said, suppressing her laughter at Zander’s face.

“Hum, well, princess, the joke is on you. Because we are not redecorating it for at least six months, and you have to live here as well.”

“s**t” Chloe exclaimed.

“Yes, exactly, shit.” Zander laughed as the realisation dawned on his feisty mate’s face.

Picking her up, he strode over to the bed and threw her down onto the soft mattress, then began to tickle her as she squealed and thrashed about.

“Trust me, revenge will come your way when you least expect it.” Zander growled out playfully.

The playfulness between them soon turned to passion as Zander’s lips found hers. Soon the Barbie-inspired room was filled with m***s and growls as the mates began to enjoy each other once more.

The next day, Chloe, Nicki and Cheryl shopped until they dropped. Cheryl bought lots of new clothes. Nicki encouraged her to buy things more fashionable than the dowdy dresses her father would only allow his wife to wear. They went to the hairdressers, as Cheryl had her hair styled. In the end, she looked more like Nicki’s sister than her mother.

“Mum, you look amazing!” Nicki smiled proudly at her.

Liam and Jackson were practically buckled at the knees from carrying the bags from the human town’s shopping centre.

Cheryl paid for everything, her husband has thousands upon thousands of cash in the account that neither she or Nicki had ever been allowed to spend, other than £30 with his permission.

With every passing hour, Cheryl became more herself, her personality starting to shine through, and Chloe marvelled at how much like Nicki she really was.

“So what are you girls doing tonight?” Cheryl asked happily.

“Well, that is up to you. What would you like to do Mum?” Nicki asked. She wanted to spend time with Josh, but she also did not want to leave her mother alone either.

“I want you to go with your mate and enjoy the night. I am going to set up the cottage just as I want, then sit and watch TV programs and films that I want to watch. All the ones your father disapproved of, and I think I will start with that fifty shades of grey.” Cheryl shrugged, laughing, her face glowing from being so carefree and happy.

Chloe and Nicki both laughed, then Nicki looked at her mother.

“Not sure I approve, Mother!” she said, feigning disapproval.

“Not sure I care!” Cheryl laughed and hugged her daughter.

Chloe and Nicki spent the rest of the afternoon with Ethan, Ellie and Amy. Gav hung around watching over Amy making Chloe giggle, she felt sorry for him, three years waiting for her to hit 18 was going to be hell for him.

As they headed for dinner, Zander met her outside the dining room.

“Hey princess, did you have a good day?” he asked

“Yes, it was fun. How about you?” Chloe asked, noting the small frown on Zanders’ face.

Taking her hand, he led her to the Alpha table and sat her on his knee, as they were served Haggis and potatoes for tea.

“Are you okay? You seem a little tense.” Chloe whispered into his ear.

“Yeah, I am fine. It is just the rogue situation, it seems they have gone quiet.” Zander sighed thoughtfully.

“That is good though? Isn’t it? They know you sorted out Alpha Jack, and so have backed off.” Chloe asked, feeling slightly confused as to why Zander was not happy about this.

“Maybe, but I cannot shake the feeling they are quiet because they are planning something, and this is just the calm before the storm.”
