The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 25

Chloe woke up with the bed empty beside her, rubbing the residue of sleep with the back of her hand, she sat up resting her back against the headboard of the bed.

“Morning little Luna princess” Zander’s baritone voice greeted her.

Shuffling up the bed further, Chloe smiled as she saw the top of Zanders’ head peaking out, on the arm of the couch.

“Morning big bad wolf.” Chloe grinned; happy he had remained in the room if not in bed.

“Did you sleep well?” Zander asked, stretching out his aching muscles. Sofas were not ideal when you are 6ft 5 inches and built like a brick out house.

“Like a log, what about you?” Chloe asked.

“Yeah, well, not so good, but it was the best night of not a lot of sleep, in my life. Did you know you snore”, Zander teased his mate a wicked grin on his face that made him look even sexier.

“I do not!” Chloe argued back with a small huff.

“Yes, you do. However, it is quite a cute little snore, I found it comforting.” Zander chuckled.

“The mate bond must be strong if you find snoring attractive.” Chloe giggled.

Zander moved off the sofa, and walked towards the bed, and climbed on, giving Chloe a quick peck on her lips. He frowned as she shook her head and moved away, then let out a low growl.

“What is that all about?” he asked, perturbed.

“Morning breath, mine not yours.” Chloe shrugged.

Zander chuckled, rolling back onto the bed, his hands behind his head. Chloe gulped, her mate lay beside her, his hair messy and morning stubble was more than a little attractive, his naked torso looking ripped even when relaxed, his shorts showing a huge morning glory, and instantly she became aroused and breathless.

“Control yourself Chloe, else I will not be responsible for my actions.” Zander smirked, side eyeing her.

“Put a top on, and maybe I will have half a chance!” Chloe giggled, even though the last thing she wanted was for Zander to cover up. She quite liked the view, in fact, it was the best view she had ever seen.

Chuckling, Zander rolled onto his side, his head propped up by one arm, his other hand reaching out and he began gently stroking the exposed skin on her arm with the tips of his fingers. Chloe let out a soft m**n, the tickles mixed with sparks driving her crazy. She could only imagine what it would feel like when he stroked other parts of her needy body. Clearing her throat to break the intense moment, Chloe looked at Zander.

“So, what is the plan for today?” she asked, not really caring, but needing something to distract her from wanting to dive on top of her mate and be damned with the consequences.

“Well, first we are going down for breakfast, then you and I, along with Josh, Nicki, Robin and Lacey are heading over to the Silverback Pack. We need to look around and introduce ourselves to our newest pack members.” Zander smiled softly.

“Oh, will they not be pissed off? You defeated their Alpha last night?” Chloe asked, wondering if they would be safe.

“Some will, but most will not. He was not the best Alpha around. I am thinking it will make a nice little pack for Josh and Nicki when he completes his Alpha training by the end of the summer. They will be marked by then, and Nicki will have had extensive Luna training with you and Lacey. In the interim, I am going to ask Robin and Lacey to move their short term, to get things up to scratch before returning here, and help me split this pack. It is getting too large for one Alpha to handle.” Zander sighed.

“You are going to give half your pack away?” Chloe asked with a small frown.

“Yes, and No. Both packs will remain under my overall control. I will become an Ultima Wolf. If we can get the council to agree,” Zander smiled.

“There are a few packs out there wanting my protection and help, they have all agreed to come under my umbrella, so to speak.”

“So… what is an Ultima Wolf?” Chloe asked, confused.

“Well, it used to be a king like your biological father, but as I do not have royal b***d, I will just be referred to as Alpha, but with the subtitle of Ultima,” Zander explained.

Chloe looked at her mate, deep in thought.

“But, if you are mated to me, and I am a princess, would that not make you a prince by default?”

“Actually, once you come of age, and are marked and mated, you will become queen. However, that could start another war, so we will need to prepare. By default, I would become King.” Zander sighed out, concerned for his mate. Once she did shift, the peace that had held for eighteen years, would be threatened, and war was a distinct possibility. The real reason he had to be careful and not claim her yet, he needed time to build up alliances with those who had been loyal to the Royal Family.

“A Queen? f**k me!” Chloe exclaimed in shock.

“I really wish I could little Luna princess, but we must wait for five and a half months,” Zander chuckled.

Chloe felt the heat of her embarrassment rising up from her neck to her cheeks, as she burned bright red.

“You are adorable!” Zander proclaimed, as he smiled wide at his beautiful young mate.

“Are you going to punish me for my behaviour last night?” Chloe asked innocently, convinced the talk they had would not be the end of the matter, after all she had put so many people in danger.

Zander let out a low growl, his hand reaching round and began to rub her bottom.

“Don’t tempt me, I would love nothing more than to bend you over my knee, but I doubt that would be a punishment for you mate. I get the feeling you would enjoy it.” Zander whispered huskily.

Chloe felt her stomach do summersaults, and the sing song beautiful voice echoed in her mind.

“Yes, we will” it was loud and as clear as a bell.

“Woah!” Chloe exclaimed.

“What is the matter?” Zander asked.

“I think Sheba just spoke again.” Chloe smiled happily.

“What did she say?” Zander felt Caeser’s excitement at Sheba becoming less dormant.

Chloe blushed, then biting her bottom l*p she whispered softly.

“She said, yes we will.”

Embarrassed, Chloe hid her head into Zander’s chest as a low chuckle reverberated from him.

“Come on my perfectly horny little wolf, let’s get this show on the road, before I forget we have to wait!” Zander gritted out his voice sounding almost pained.

Zander led Chloe to the room she would be sharing with Nicki whilst at the pack house. As much as it pained him to not sleep in the same room as her, he knew it was the only way to stop them both forgetting everything, and mating, which could cause more trouble than they were prepared for.

“Your things are already unpacked for you. Also, Nicki’s stuff should be sorted for her. Go get ready and I will meet you in the dining room in fifteen minutes.” Zander smiled at her.

Chloe entered the room, to find Nicki sitting at the grey dressing table putting on her make-up.

“Hey, are you okay Nicki?” Chloe asked, filled with concern and guilt.

“Yes, I am fine, what about you? Was Zander really mad?” Nicki asked, slightly fearful of facing the Alpha Headmaster.

“He was disappointed more than mad.” Chloe sighed out.

“s**t, that is bad!” Nicki exclaimed.

Chloe nodded her head, then turned to her friend.

“He did not shout, he just put his arm around me and quietly asked why I had done it, then softly explained some stuff, I sobbed like a baby.” Chloe sighed out.

“Yeah, Josh did almost the same, it was brutal, like you, I would have preferred an argument.” Nicki gave her friend a half smile.

“It was, I think I would have preferred him screaming and shouting well.” Chloe agreed.

“How is your leg?” Nicki asked, looking at her friend walking perfectly.

“Great, Dr Keto aligned it last night. Oh, Mr Kyle is a healer, he came after the operation and lay hands on the wound, after a couple of minutes it was like new.” Chloe informed Nicki.

“Cool” Nicki smiled.

“I wonder how Ethan is?” She added thoughtfully.

“Let me grab a quick shower, then we can go to breakfast and find out.” Chloe smiled.

Zander entered his office, he had fifteen minutes to talk to both Josh and Robin, before they had breakfast and went to visit the Silverback Pack. Mind linking his brother and best friend to join him, he sat behind his large desk.

“Zander”, Josh said as he entered the office, shortly followed by Robin, who greeted him with a bow of his head.

“Take a seat both of you.” Zander gestured towards the couch.

“After breakfast, I want us and our mates to head over to Silverback Pack. We need to get the lay of the land, so to speak. I will give the members of the pack the choice to stay under our command, or to leave. Whichever they decide will be fine. Also, taking on another 400 wolves is not ideal, so I want you, Robin, to move across there with Lacey, to run things as my second in command, then when Josh and Nicki finish school and their training, I would like you both to run that pack as Alpha and Luna, but still report to me. Robin, when the time is right, like discussed before, we will split this pack into smaller ones, to give every opportunity to the pack members to reach their potential that may well be overlooked in such a big pack. What do you both think?” Zander asked.

“I think that is a good idea. From what I could gather last night, a lot of the Silverback Pack members were less than pleased with Alpha Aitchison. Oh, talking of which, he is still in the dungeons. What do you want to do with him?” Robin asked.

“Leave him for the time being, let’s see what we find at Silverback, then I will decide what to do with him and his Luna.” Zander sighed, a big part of him still wanted to rip his throat out for hurting his mate, but he may yet have a use for him.

“Also, Chloe told me she found a taxi card on Lacey’s desk, for Silverback Taxi’s, that should never have been there, so we need to do some investigation work and find out who planted it for our girls to find.”

“That is weird.” Josh frowned.

“Yes, I agree, maybe the old Alpha can tell us if he planned this all along.” Robin nodded his head, not happy that someone who they did not know had been around his mate’s workstation.

“Yes, but for now, the girls are safe here. However, I think we need more security at the school,” Zander stated.

“Agreed” both Josh and Robin said in unison.

“Okay, well let’s go eat breakfast.” Zander dismissed his brother and friend, then headed to the dining room to meet his little mate.
