outside. After her brief encounter with

Earl, she had let her guard down entirely, leaning against the big fellow and beginning to rest for a short while.

It wasn’t until a chill swept over her from behind that she couldn’t help but shiver, turning around to see Alexander standing at the door with a cold expression.

“May I leave now?”

one of the few individuals he couldn’t

see through.

From her panicked eyes, he could sense the hostility that lay hidden beneath. But if that was the case, why would she help him?

Situated on the second floor, directly overlooking the swimming pool below, she mused that a leap from here, while not dangerous, would undoubtedly create enough commotion to alert Alexander or the bodyguards.
