The Blacklisted Rogue -
Chapter 20
Sally POV
During the trip back to Blue Eclipse Pack, I started to get nervous. I was excited to see George again, but I was still a blacklisted Rogue. What if the other pack members didn't like me?
Then there was the whole part where the Blue Eclipse Pack shared a border with the Midnight Pack. Somehow it felt like we had been running from weeks only to end up right where we started. The thought of the Midnight Pack being only a few miles away made my stomach churn. I fidgeted with the hem of my hoodie when the car came to a stop in front of the packhouse and I saw a few people standing on the front door steps.
The packhouse was a large wooden house with three stories. The wooden panel was painted in a forest green color with white edges. It looked really welcoming and really different from any packhouse I had ever seen before. Red Ridge had a pale white mansion as a packhouse while the Midnight Pack had built their packhouse with dark stones, making the place terrifying and hostile.
We stepped out of the car and my heart raced when I saw George smiling at me. I smiled too and rushed up the stairs, embracing him in a tight hug.
George hugged me back and buried his face in the crook of my neck. I felt my shoulder getting wet and I realized that George was crying.
Tears welled up in my eyes when I pulled away from him.
"Sally, thank Goddess you're alright!" George cried. "For a moment there, I thought they killed you."
"They almost did." I smiled. "My mate saved me."
George's face broke into a huge grin and looked over at Elijah.
"Is that him?"
I nodded.
Elijah walked up to us and shook George's hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, George."
"The pleasure is all mine. Thank you so much for saving my sister."
I hugged George again.
"I thought that I'd never see you again." I whimpered.
George ruffled my hair.
"Me neither, Lala. Watching you leave almost broke me."
I took his hands in mine.
"It wasn't you fault. It was my choice to take the blame and I knew that it might lead to me being exiled. I hoped that it wouldn't come to that, but here we are." I shrugged.
"Sally and Elijah, welcome to Blue Eclipse Pack." I heard someone say.
I turned around and saw a tall, bulky man in his mid thirties with short ash blonde hair smiling back at me. The aura emanating from him was really powerful and I figured that it was Alpha Jordan. "Thank you." I said. "Are you Alpha Jordan?"
"That would be me!" He exclaimed. "Let's go inside and have a chat."
We followed Alpha Jordan through the large double doors and entered a large hall. I saw a staircase on either side of the hall, leading up to the other floors.
The interior was quite rustique, perfectly fitting the exterior of the building. I looked around in awe.
Inside the hall were two women that welcomed us. Alpha Jordan pecked one of them on the cheek.
"This is my mate and Luna of this pack, Roberta. And that is my sister Avery."
He gestured to the other woman. She looked only a few years older than me. She had long curly blonde hair that went down to her waist and a navy blue dress that hugged her hourglass figure perfectly. I suddenly remembered the sticks and mud I had seen in my hair when passing by my reflection in a window and instantly felt very self-conscious. Compared to her, I looked like a troll. Roberta looked to be the same age as Alpha Jordan, with short black hair, a pink blouse and black jeans. She gave me a warm smile and shook my hand and then Elijah's.
"It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, Luna." I mumbled.
"Are you Rogues?" Avery asked.
I gave her a sheepish smile.
"Yeah."
I didn't really know what else to say and I avoided her gaze on me.
"This is my sister Sally and her mate Elijah." George chimed in.
Avery broke into a huge grin.
"And you are going to join our pack? That's great! Welcome to Blue Eclipse."
"Thank you." Elijah said.
Alpha Jordan gestured for us to keep moving and we followed him into an office.

Elijah POV
We gathered in the office. Alpha Jordan was sitting behind the desk while Sally and I sat down on the chairs in front of his desk. George and Joe took a seat on the couch along the wall with a man that introduced himself as Barry, the Gamma of the pack. "When George agreed to take on the Beta position he told me what happened at the Red Ridge Pack." Alpha Jordan spoke. "Even though I believe him, I would really like to know your side of the story before we proceed."
Sally nodded and started to tell the full story. Everyone sat quietly and listened.
Although Sally had told me about this before, I knew it was hard for her to talk about. She lost everything in a matter of days.
When Sally finished, Alpha Jordan continued asking questions about how she ended up in the Midnight pack. I noticed that Sally started to get a little uncomfortable.
"So what happened after you passed out?" Alpha Jordan asked.
Sally squirmed in her seat and refused to meet anyone's gaze.
"Beta Rafe questioned me. He wanted to know why I became a Rogue. I didn't want to tell him that I was blacklisted. I was afraid that they were going to kill me the second they found out."
Her voice was so small and I clearly sensed her turmoil. I got down on my knees in front of her and leaned my forehead against hers.
"You're safe now." I whispered. "It's okay, my love. You survived."
A sob left Sally's lips, so I got up and pulled her into my lap.
"They tortured her." I said while cradling Sally in my arms. "The Midnight Pack usually tries to take advantage of Rogues that come into the territory. If there is someone out there looking for the Rogue, they can have them back. It comes with a price of course, so the Midnight Pack could profit from it."
From the corner of my eye, I could see George bury his head in his hands and Joe patted him on his shoulder. I decided to continue so that Sally wouldn't have to. She had buried her face in my chest and sobbed quietly.
"I was on my way to the woods for a run when I caught her scent in the cell block." I explained. "Beta Rafe has tortured her and the Alpha were coming the next day. When Sally told me that she was blacklisted I knew I had to get her out of there."
"I'm guessing that you're a former member of the Midnight pack?" Alpha Jordan asked.
I nodded.
"I was an Omega there. My father is the current Gamma, so after I found her in the cell I started working on an escape plan. I had all the guard routes memorized so I knew how to leave the pack territory undetected."
I hesitated, unsure if I should tell them the next part.
"Alpha Richard wanted to sexually assault her, that's why we had to run a little earlier than planned. I think that maybe that's why they managed to find us in Caroville." I said softly while stroking Sally's hair. "I'm sorry I failed you." I whispered in her hair.
Sally raised her head and pools of forest green stared at me. I felt my heart skip a beat.
"You didn't fail me." She replied. "You got us out of there. I was the one that failed. I should have kept him occupied a lot longer than I did. I wasn't strong enough."
She buried her face in my chest again and I wrapped my arms tightly around her while she cried. My eyes met Alpha Jordan's and he seemed to be deep in thought and exchanged glances with Joe.
"Should I increase security at the border, Alpha?" Joe asked. "I have reason to believe that Alpha Richard will want them back. We intercepted them in Caroville before they could capture Sally and Elijah, but it was a close call." Alpha Jordan nodded.
"Go ahead. If they want a fight, then a fight is exactly what they'll get." He sighed.
I felt Sally tense in my arms.
"You shouldn't have to go to war over us, Alpha Jordan." She mumbled and wiped her cheeks with her sleeve. "We can find some other place to go."
She looked at me and I nodded.
"We don't want to get your pack in trouble because of us." I agreed.
Barry spoke up for the first time.
"It doesn't matter now. Joe and his team saved you from the Midnight wolves in Caroville. That's enough reason for them to be offended and they might declare war on us whether you stay or not."
Alpha Jordan stood up and we did the same.
"Increase security and start running evacuation drills on the civilians. Even if nothing happens it's good to be prepared."
He turned to us and smiled. I still hugged Sally tightly, feeling her growing tired.
"Maybe you should get some rest. We will discuss your initiation ceremony tomorrow along with what kind of assignments would work for you. How about we'll have breakfast tomorrow?" Read more free novels at FindNovel.net "We'd be honored, Alpha." Sally smiled
"Great! You're all dismissed. Have a good night."
George gestured to the door and we followed him through the halls.
"We have a guest room in the Beta wing that you could stay in. Alex will be thrilled to see you again." He said. "Are you guys hungry? Do you want some dinner?"
I glanced at Sally and saw her eyes light up. We had been living off scraps and the thought of a meal that was actually hot made my mouth water.
"Yeah, dinner sounds great." Sally said.
I could tell that she tried her best not to sound overly enthusiastic. She was just as hungry as I was.
George smiled and continued walking until we came to a door.
"This is were we live. You are welcome to stay for as long as you'd like." He said and opened the door.
The Beta wing was styled the same way as the rest of the house. We entered a large living room. I could see parts of the kitchen with its wooden cabinets from where we were standing. Suddenly we heard a loud screech.
