Chapter 91

//FLASHBACK//

I was happily playing in the grass with mom, I was smiling while trying to catch the butterflies around. Dad was busy preparing food. This year, this is the only day I want to feel like, the whole family is together. Dad is now busy preparing our meals.

The sun has set so the view from our place is beautiful. After a while I felt a strange presence, I could hear birds chirping in the forest and I could hear someone's movement from the branches of the trees.

Even mom and dad noticed this so they immediately took me to hug. We all focused our attention on the forest and patiently waited to see what was coming. Soon six creatures were walking towards us, they were all dressed in black and their bodies were wrapped and only their eyes could be seen. I saw mom clinging tightly to dad because of fear.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of it," dad said softly. I was slowly led towards my mother and my father stepped closer to the black groups.

"Who are you and what is your purpose here?" dad asked.

"Hello Marlon, we are Tripo, we heard that the son of the alpha of the Xillzions has been born. We just wanted to say hello and give you a little gift." One of the men in black held out a basket full of fruit. Dad accepted it politely.

"We are happy to meet you, you seem to be enjoying yourself so we will say goodbye," said a man and in the blink of an eye, they left like a bubble.

Dad walked towards us with the basket full of fruit brought by the Tripo group.

"Do you know them?" Mom asked when dad got back to where we were.

"Their group is familiar because I know they come from the race of vampires," answered dad.

"Come and let's eat," said mom and started putting food on our plates. Later mom plucked a piece of grape from the fruit given by the Tripos and ate it without hesitation.

We just continued eating and after a while mom suddenly let go of the spoon she was carrying, I could see the change in her appearance and her hand slowly went up to her chest.

"M-Marlon..." he said weakly, feeling short of breath.

"What's happening to you Anastacia?" dad responded worriedly and immediately came to mom to help her. It's like I'm frozen in my seat right now because of what I see.

"Anastacia what is happening to you!" Dad repeated but mom couldn't speak because she was gasping for breath. I didn't realize the tears falling in my eyes and immediately ran to mom. My only suspicion was the fruit he took from that basket.

Little by little, her skin color was changing, which worried me and dad, dad quickly picked up mom to go to the car, but with every step he took, mom's body turned black.

'D-Drake..." While we kept running to the car, I heard mom say my name at the same time as we slowly closed our eyes. Her whole body turned black and as we continued to walk, his body gradually dissolved. "Anastasia!" We stopped because her whole body continued to fall, I don't know what is happening to her now, dad and I continued to cry while watching the gradual disappearance of mom's body.

It was too late when we found out that the fruits given by the Tripos were poisoned, dad's anger came to life because of what happened and I also wanted to take revenge for what the Tripos did to my mother. //END OF FLASHBACK//
