I woke up because of the noise coming from my cellphone.

I immediately got up and rolled my eyes before looking at it.

Unknown Number.

I answered it immediately.

"Hello?"

"Hello, This is Merly From Bentriz Corporation. Is this Anna Madrigal?" Language of a woman from the other line.

"Yes, this is Anna."

"My boss told me to call you. You're hired," she said and my eyes widened.

"Omg, thank you so much!" my lively said.

"The boss wants to see you today. Today is your first day on the job."

"Alright, I'll just hurry up and I'll go there. Thank you so much."

"Okay, we'll wait for you. Congratulations." That's it and she turned off the call.

I almost jumped for joy and immediately came out.

But as I expected Thea was no longer in her room because it had already worked.

I immediately took a shower and got dressed. I was wearing a simple white v-neck and leggings. I also carry my black bag.

I even made sure the condo was locked before finally leaving.

A few more minutes passed and I arrived at Bentrix Corporation as well.

"Good morning ma'am," the guard said.

"Good morning," I replied.

I went into the lobby and saw a woman in uniform, if I'm not mistaken it was in her 30s.

"Good morning, I'm Anna Madrigal...Do you know Ma'am Merly? "I asked.

"Hello, good day. I'm Merly Gonza. Nice meeting you Anna Madrigal," she said. She reached out and we shook hands.

"Nice meeting you too," I said smiling.

"Come with me...the CEO of the company wants to see you," She said and I nodded. He walked into the elevator first and I followed.

A few minutes later we reached a floor, with employees greeting Ma'am Merly.

We continued walking until we stopped in a room.

Ma'am Merly immediately knocked and entered as I was left outside.

"Sir, Anna is here," I heard her promise.

"Let him in," I heard a man's voice. I started to feel nervous.

"Anna, come in," Ma'am Merly said and left me alone.

I stepped in and took my step and that was the speed of my heartbeat.

I had already gone inside and could smell a familiar scent.

Wait like I already smelled this perfume?

"Good morning-" I was automatically stunned when I saw the man in front of me.

Wait! If it's a dream, wake me up!

Can not be? What the fuck!

The man who gets my Footlong.

"Good morning Anna Madrigal," he promised with a smile.

What else does this one want to do?

"Good morning sir..." I replied.

"Why do you seem surprised? Have you seen a ghost? Or have you just seen someone as handsome as me?"

"Ahm... yes sir. You're handsome."

It made him laugh because of what I said.

"Come, sit here. Or do you want to sit on my leg?"

"It's just here sir. Maybe your leg will break," I teased.

"So first, let's interview first," he said.

"Single?"

"Yes sir."

"What is your highest educational attainment?"

"Just high school."

He stared at me.

"Why?" he made a serious promise.

"My mom and dad died when I was still studying in Elementary. My grandmother raised me alone but she couldn't afford to send me to college school. But don't worry sir, I'll do everything I can," I said. ."You didn't go to college... How am I supposed to hire you?"

"I'm an expert on everything. And I'm ready to learn." He looks at my resume again. "I just really need this job, sir. It helped me a lot," I added.

"We'll see," it promised.

He dropped my resume and stared at me seriously.

"I'll give you one week to proved to yourself that you deserve this position."

"Okay, sir. I'll do my best."

Drake's POV

I sat while facing the laptop.

I can't believe what I found out now.

All I could think was that Anna was brave and strong.

But she also had a bad experience.

She is out of my office now and I told Merly to train her and introduce her to other employees.

Suddenly I stared at the resume on which his image was glued.

I suddenly remembered the incident when Mercedes was training me.

Why did his image suddenly register in my mind?

I don't know why my heart softened when he begged earlier just for his job. I have never been able to feel sorry for anyone.

She's beautiful when examined, she just doesn't get better. She has a beautiful body shape and strong sex appeal.

Wait! What is it I'm thinking?

As if I fucking care?

Soon I heard a knock on the door of my office.

"Sir Drake..." I heard Anna promise.

Sh*t, why is it nice to hear my name when he says it?

"Come in," I replied.

"Ma'am Merly is handing out these papers," she said and laid some papers on my desk.

"Do you want anything, sir? Coffee? Or what?" She said with a wide smile.

I will admit that she looked even more beautiful because of that smile of hers.

"Don't try to impress me. I know you're only doing that because you want to convince me to take you as secretary," I said. I could see his forced smile. I held back a laugh because of how he looked now. If I hadn't been his boos, this one might have attacked me earlier.

"Okay, sir, you don't need anything. I'll go first," he said goodbye. I just nodded and she left.

Hours passed and I didn't realize lunch break was over.

I went out of my office and there were only a few people in the working station, probably most of them had lunch as well.

I was shocked to see Anna on the side while holding the map and sweating as well because if I'm not mistaken she was already cleaning.

I stared at him because of the sweat on his neck.

She's so hot, and I can't deny that.

Her complexion was smooth, her nose was pointed, her eyelashes were long and her eyes were round.

It was as if I was being stoned now while staring at her.

I almost jumped when she suddenly turned his gaze to where I was.

It smiled at me and continued cleaning.

What is he doing? There is a janitor here in the company but why is she cleaning there?

It's noon, isn't she planning to have lunch?

I walked closer to where he was.

"What are you doing?" I wondered.

"Cleaning sir," she philosophically replied.

"I know, I have eyes so I can see...I mean, where's the janitor. Why are you doing that?"

"The janitor is absent sir so I thought of cleaning the floor because it's a bit dirty," she replied and smiled. Shit! That smile makes me crazy.

I feel like I'm going crazy with her smiles.

She's so different. She's attractive even she's not wearing any special.

"Aren't you planning to have lunch?" my language. F*ck what am I doing?

Drake, your arrogance is diminishing.

"I'll just finish it, sir," she replied.

"Okay, I'll go first," I said. She nodded.

I was about to walk but I saw her lose his balance because of the wet floor.

None of my own body moved quickly to where he was to catch her.

I was not disappointed because I caught her.

The closeness of our faces to each other. We feel each other's breath.

She blinked as she stared at me.

I heard her heartbeat. I also don't know why my heartbeat quickened.

It was as if something was happening to my chest because of its excessive beating speed.

I helped him stand up.

"T-Thank y-you," it said.

"Be careful. The company still costs what happened to you," I said annoyed. She nodded and bowed.

"S-Sorry sir," she said weakly and continued what she was doing.

"After that....you eat, we have another meeting later, "I said and walked away.

Anna's POV

I am currently sitting at an empty desk here at the workstation. I immediately took out my lunch box and started eating. Almost all the employees here are out and having lunch.

I still can't believe Drake owns this company. If I only knew, I might have switched jobs.

He is annoying. He is very rude. He even beat women when they shout.

Tskk, what else can I do? I'm already here so all I have to do is convince him that I deserve the position I'm in. I also don't want to be a burden to Thea. The more he helped me, the more I didn't want him to have more problems because of me.

I was about to pour a drink into a water dispenser when I suddenly saw Lance walking into Drake's office.

"Lance!" I grab his attention. He immediately turned to me and smiled broadly.

"Anna! How are you?" it's a question.

"It's okay...thank you again for letting me in here," I said.

"Nothing. Why are you alone here? Didn't you have lunch?"

"I just finished. Are you looking for Sir Drake?"

"Yes, I would have asked him if you got in. But there's no need, I think you've already passed."

I smiled. "Sir Drake is your friend," I asked.

"Yes, actually more than 10 years. He was my classmate in high school."

"Ah, that's right, what's wrong with him?"

"Super, Drake will be very loud. But that's nice, don't worry."

"I hope so..thank you again for letting me in here, it's a big help to me," I thanked.

"Hello Anna, I'm Elsa. Nice meeting you," a beautiful woman introduced me. I smiled broadly and shook hands.

"This is Diego and Mitch," he introduced himself to a woman and a man with him.

"Hello," I promised.

I shook hands with them.

"You're beautiful Anna, do you already have a boyfriend?" Diego asked. I shook my head. "Can I apply?" he joked.

"Stop it, Diego, let it go, Anna, it's a joke," Mitch replied.

"I'm serious. Can I?" it is turning on me. Mitch and Elsa laughed even louder.

"I have no plans to have a boyfriend yet," I replied.

"Whoohhhhh! You busted right away Diego," Elsa promised with a laugh.

"As long as you're ready. I'm just here," he said making me laugh.

Later we saw Sir Drake enter the Working Station, he casually walked over to where I was.

"Get ready. We're going to a meeting," he said. I nodded, continuing to walk to his office.

"Sir Drake is strick, but he's handsome so it's okay," Elsa said with a shudder.

"And he's so hot," Mitch agrees.

"All right, I'll go first. That one might even get angry," I let out. They nodded.

"Be careful Anna," Diego added. I just nodded.
