Episode 41

BROOKE

I watch as the car drives away with the three of them from the window.

Joe standing behind me “You want to leave, don’t you?” he says staring at the disappearing car.

I turn to look up at him and give a small smile, “Yes, I think people are going to come after me once they realize that I have my memories back” I sign to him, he nods.

He looks around the room “pack a few things; we will leave within the hour. I’m going to let Adonis know what we are doing, meet me in the office” he says and bends down to k**s my cheek, when he moves his head he looks at me with his biggest smile “I’m so proud of you Brooke”

I smile back.

He leaves and does what he set out to do; I turn around and pack a few things. I still don’t have much but I have gained some new clothes. I also stick my pencils and sketch pad in my bag. I looked around the room; this was the place that I started to become me again.

“You will be back to the way you were once again,” says Willow, I smile at her.

“I know,” I say but suddenly she gets restless “We need to go to the office now Brooke.”

I run straight down the hall with my rucksack on my back, the office door was ajar and I run in to see a pained faced looking Joe, staring at the monitor.

I run over to see, to my shock there on the monitor was Madison and a few men, entering Spain.

“When was this?” I sign.

Joe looks at me “About ten minutes ago, they know you are here.”

I look at him “How?”

He shrugs his shoulders.

“We need to get moving, I have to take you somewhere. Far away” he says and looks at his hand which is holding like two keys.

“What are they for?” I mouth to him.

He has a blank expression on his face. He is obviously minding linking someone.

A tear escapes his eye but turns to me “They are portal keys to my realm” he says, he wipes the tears from his eyes that I just realized that he just started to cry.

“Portal keys?” I mouth “To where?”

But Joe grabs a bag and puts it on his back, he grabs a few other things.

“Brooke, he’s not a wolf,” says Willow “I have been trying to figure it out what he is but looking at the portal keys, he is a Fae.”

My eyes go wide at him, he looks at me “Willow figured it out”

I nod at him.

“I am a Fae; I am a prince of a kingdom. I came here in search of my mate and when I found him. My kingdom was in a huge war with another sector in the realm but it recently has been at peace. My brother now rules and gave me three portal keys. One can open for many to go through and the other one is to get back” he says and looks towards the door.

A guard comes running in “They are on their way here, what do we do?” he asks Joe.

“Tell them that both their alpha’s are on their way back from business, no one is to enter,” Joe tells him. He nods and looks at me “You need to leave now alpha.”

Joe nods at him “Adonis is on his way back and he is notifying everyone of Brooke’s pack as we speak. He will fly back out once they leave. Sassy is in hiding too. You, Adrian, are in charge. Adonis will be back soon” he says.

Joe steps away and pulls out one of the keys; he twists it in the air like it was a door. The key is lodged in and he pulls on it to reveal a door.

He takes the key out and grabs hold of my arm, without thinking he pushes both of us through the doorway and it shuts behind us. It is dark but we move forward a few steps, till there is a bit of light. Looking around, they look to be stones and a covering over us and then it hits me we are in a cave.

It is damp and musty.

Joe sighs “We can stay here for now,” he says and looks at me.

I am too shocked to sign or mouth anything to him.

He sits on the side and watches me.

“I wasn’t lying about my father hurting me. My brother helped me escape this realm, Hunter is now in charge” he says “Hunter came to visit about two years ago to see me, and he loves it here and even found his mate in this world. He took her back with him, Ana is her name. She is human”

I walk over to him and sit next to him.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the whole fact that I am in a different realm.

“Is there anything else you need to tell me?” I signed.

He looks over at me and sighs “Yeah, I know what you and Willow are.”

I looked back stunned; I only figured out earlier what we are. Willow had a reason to keep it from everyone and now we are in a different realm. Willow is close, she can feel my anxiety come through but she doesn’t show herself to him.

“You can trust me Brooke, I will never hurt you. Neither will my people, you are safe here. We actually know more about your kind than you think” he says.

I look at him. I know he is telling me the truth as I can feel it

“You are not alone anymore,” he says “I just linked with my brother telling him what has been going on and where we are; he will be here in a few moments.”

I yawn all of a sudden. He chuckles “Moving realm to realms is hard on someone’s body especially if they never did it before. You need to rest and sleep. I will carry you when he gets here,” he says, I’m so tired that I can’t even fight him on it.

After a few seconds, my head leans against his shoulder and I nod off.
