The more Beth spend the rest of that day at Alex room, just seating around and getting fed like a normal human being, the more she felt as though she was starting to develop a Stockholm syndrome towards him.

Even though he isn’t her main aggressor, he was still aiding in the whole process of keeping her hostage against her will.

Beth watched with red cheek as he emerges from the bathroom after taking a bath and began to throw on his clothes without paying her any single glance. Once he was done, he quickly turned to face her before clearing his throat slightly.

“I’m going to meet Asher. So stay here and keep the door locked unless you hear my voice, understood?” Alex said, looking at her with those green eyes of his.

Beth answered with a nod and he quickly slip out the door, leaving her to stare right after him. She released a breath of relief once she was alone once again before leaning back on the bed wishing to be back home in her little apartment.

Even though her living space set up is an eyesore. Beth still felt like she’d give anything just to be back there, in her own room and free to do whatever she wanted even if she ran the risk of getting screamed at by her landlord while chasing another new job.

She heard movement out the door, jolting her out of her thought as well. Hesitating for just a moment, she got up carefully before inching her way towards the door to get it locked.

Once she was close enough to the door knob, she reached out to turn it locked but had to retrieved her hand when it was suddenly swung open. Now standing before her were two men she has never seen before, both were huge and massive in body size with strong chiseled facial features.

Looking from her left to right, Beth noticed they were dressed in causal outfit. A pair of washed out blue jeans and matching t-shirts yet their friendly appearance didn’t make them any less intimidating. The look in their eyes told her just how dangerous the bunch were.

With her heart in her throat, she began to back away, one foot at a time while holding out her hands as though it would somehow keep them away from getting to her.

“Wh…what do you want?, Alex is not here if that’s who you are looking for. You can just come back later or something” She shuttered but got no reply from the two men who only glanced at each other before turning to face her once more.

Immediately they start to advance towards her, she turned on her heels and bolt towards the direction where she knew the bathroom to be. Beth didn’t even make it across the room before two strong arms grab her from behind.

The loud screech erupting her throat was immediately knocked off her mouth with a sudden sharp smack, leaving her dizzy for a couple of moment.

Tears began to wet her lashes as one of the man took hold of both her shoulders and began to drag her forcefully out the door and into the hallway. That smack didn’t just knock the scream out of her lungs but also whatever struggle was left in her body as they continued to pull her along.

First, she tried to keep up but the rough way in which they moved with her caused her to stumble a couple times as her bare feet scrape across the floor painfully. Not once did they pause for her to gain her right footing not to mention, how much they pulled at her arms. It felt as though, they were being tugged out of their sockets.

Still being dragged by the two men, they made it out of the hallway and into the open before heading towards another building that stood adjacent to the one she has just been dragged out from.

Beth was shoved into an empty room with dim light that barely showcase who and what could be in the room as well but that didn’t stop her eyes from darting around in panic, wondering what punishment Asher has in store for her at that point.

Beth gasped when her eyes met with a particular dark ones seated by the dark corner in the room. A cold shiver ran down her spine when his eyes looked up and met with hers and she immediately recognized them not belonging to Asher.

This man seated in the room was different. There was an air of rage in his persona that told her he was worst than the people she has met around here, Asher included causing the dread in her chest to grow even more.

If look was enough to steal her life away? Then it would have been his.

“So, this is the Lincoln progeny?” His cold dark voice asked and Beth immediately felt as though her soul has been poisoned by the venom slipping off the tip of his tongue. For a moment there, she almost forgot how to breathe.

“Yes, she is the one. Asher is yet to decide what to do with her, hence her reason for being alive” A female voice whom she recognized to be Kara’s, snarled in response as she made her present in the room known as well.

The new man got back on his feet and began to move towards Beth, causing the men holding her arms hostage to move away in fright.

“Mmm” He growled under his breath and stopped before Beth trembling form, his eyes raking up and down her small form as compared to his massive one.

“This has to be the most pathetic Lincoln I have ever seen” His deep voice said in disdain and Beth flinch in response, feeling him so close to her face enough to also smell his breath.

And suddenly, his large hand reached out and grip her by the neck, her feet almost came off the ground but not firm enough to cut off her air supply completely.

“I don’t know why my brother is hesitating to kill you but it will be a real pleasure to do it on his behalf. After all, what are big brothers for?” He said with a half smile that was more like a promise of pain and absolute torture if not death itself.

Beth gulped hard as her shivering form went limp in his hold seeing the look in his eyes. Looks like tonight was really the night she meet her end after all.
