“Ugh… I’ve never been to an auction before…”

Maddie replied “Don’t worry, I’ll be there, and my mom will be with us too.”

“Should we go and see if there’s anything suitable? If not, I’ll come back and reconsider?”

“Sure thing!”

But Maddie’s mom didn’t tell her that the auction was actually a charity auction hosted by Rebecca.

Sebastian attended Rebecca’s charity auctions almost every lime and always managed to gel something.

He had collected many precious jewels and accessories for Stephanie’s castle.

This time was no exception, Sebastian heard about the auction and went in person.

Stephanie and Maddie dressed up and followed Mrs. Palmer, meeting many people, mostly fancy ladies that Mrs. Palmer knew…

Surprisingly, Stephanie spotted Mrs. Klein in the crowd.

But this time, Mrs. Klein didn’t bring Katherine Klein; she brought Angela Klein instead.

Stephanie wondered if Katherine’s behavior last time had completely disgusted Mrs. Klein.

But compared to Katherine, she hated Angela even more, who was two–faced.

“Oh, Mrs. Palmer!”

“Mrs Klein… You’re attending the charity auction too!”

“Yes… our Klein family has always been doing charity, so how could we miss this auction!”

Mrs. Palmer smiled and said. “Let me introduce you, this is my daughter, Maddie, and this is her friend, Stephanie.”

Mrs. Klein hadn’t noticed Stephanie at first, but when introduced, her face changed instantly, and her gaze shifted to Stephanie.

There were many people around, and Stephanie didn’t want to upset Mrs. Klein, so she just nodded slightly and said, “Hello, Mrs. Klein.”

Maddie knew that Stephanie was the illegitimate daughter of the Klein family, so she immediately gave her mom a look and said, “Hello, Mrs. Klein.”

However, Angela was very enthusiastic, “Hello Mrs. Palmer… Maddie, we met before at the hospital.”

“Don’t call me Maddie; I don’t know you well.”

“Maddie, what are you talking about!” Mrs. Palmer scolded her, frowning.

Maddie raised her eyebrows and replied, “Mom, I told you I don’t like these events, but you insisted on bringing me along. You know I hate it when people put on an act in

front of me!”

“Maddie!”

Stephanie smiled bitterly and said, “Mrs Palmer, why don’t you go greet your friends, and I’ll take Maddie for a walk?”

Mrs. Palmer reluctantly said, “Alright, just don’t go too far, the auction is about to start.”

“Okay, Mrs. Palmer.”

Stephanie led Maddie away, smiling

Angela watched their retreating figures, realization dawning on her.

She couldn’t understand why Stephanie wasn’t with Sebastian but instead followed Mrs. Palmer.

Could it be that their relationship had fallen apart?

Could it be that Sebastian didn’t want to see Stephanie, so she came here to find him through Maddie?

As Angela thought about this, a light flickered in her eyes, and she said to her mother, “Mom, I’m going over there for a bit.”

Mrs. Klein frowned and said, “Don’t forget, we’re here today for Sebastian.”

“Mom, don’t worry… I remember! I’m just going to the restroom to touch up my makeup.”

“Alright, the auction is about to start, so make sure to look pretty when you come out.”

“Mom, I got it…”

Before meeting Sebastian, she had to find a way to get rid of Stephanie.

She couldn’t let her have the chance to see Sebastian!
