RUN!

What is it? An icy wind hits my face. Where am I?! I feel like I’m in the countryside but without any electricity. Except what’s most shocking is the snow! I try to teleport but I can’t! Where am I?!

RUN!

I get pushed into a wooden hut. The woman releases me and barricades the door. When she turns round I can finally see her face/

Me: Allison? Where are we?

She lights a fire in the fireplace and turns back to me. Why is she wearing period clothes?

Allison: Who is… Allison?

Allison: What?

Earlier

Me: Raaaaaah! I’m fed up! Why isn’t it clearly written how to defeat this f*****g beast?

Allison: Because whoever wrote this legend didn’t expect history to repeat itself hundreds of years later?

I sigh and drop onto the sofa. We’ve been looking through books for two hours without understanding.

I get a splitting headache and fold myself in half.

Stiles: Hannah? Is everything all right?

I sit up, massaging my temples.

Me: Yeah… I’m just going to get a glass of water.

I go into the kitchen and get myself a drink. Stiles joins me.

Stiles: You’ve had the headaches for two days. It started when we started our research. Do you think there’s a connection?

Me: Maybe. I just… can’t wait for this to be over… and for Masson to be okay.

I’ve tried over and over to locate him, but the doctors must have locked him in a room where my powers are blocked.

Stiles: We’ll get there, Hannah. I promise.

I nod and snuggle into his arms. It’s the only place where I feel comfortable and able to do anything. It’s also where I have an idea.

Me: We have to go see the craziest Silver.

Later

Mr. Argents: It took him a year to track down his brother and finally defeat him.

Chris: And you have no idea where that spear is?

Allison’s grandfather nods. I’ve got a headache again. Is this ever going to stop?!

Hannah?

Me: It’s nothing.

Chris: You get that headache when we talk about the beast, don’t you?

Stiles: Every time.

Chris frowns

Chris: What if it’s a vision? Let the pain come and we’ll see what happens.

Chris: Right. If it helps. I breathe calmly, thinking of the beast. Maybe this will lead me to it.

RUN!

Back to the present

Me: What? But.. where are we and…

No… maybe…

Me: What year is this?

1806… where are you from?

Oh no…

Me: It would take too long to explain. My name is Hannah and you’re Marie-Jeanne, aren’t you?

Marie-Jeanne: Yes, that’s me.

Me: Are you… tracking the beast of the gevaudant?

Marie-Jeanne: They’re… they’re my brother. He was turned into a monster almost a year ago and he’s lost all his humanity, killing anyone in his path. A friend and I are trying to defeat him.

Me: I’ll help you then. You just don’t have to ask me any questions.
