Pdv Hannah

Economics course. I’m not even thinking about it anyway. They’re out there, probably waiting for me. I don’t know if I should join them. I’ve suffered so much… My life here is normal, without the killer, the chimera, Theo, Stiles… Stiles isn’t here. Seeing him (and not being drunk) reminded me of all the times my heart was pounding. All the times we laughed together until our stomachs hurt. The times we both got hurt… I can’t let that go. My heart can’t.

I look up to see where the class is at. My economics teacher speaks so calmly and kindly… that’s when it hits me. My life isn’t here. It’s with my mum, my brother, Lydia, Allison, Stiles and even the coach. It’s where I’m afraid of tomorrow and where I feel alive by defeating an enemy. I get up and grab my bag. One of the pests makes a comment

Pest: She’s finally realised that she’s ugly and she’s going to her surgery appointment.

Pest: No, she’s too poor for her eyes

She giggles. Before I had my powers, I’d have felt sorry for her, but now…

I lean against the desk of the chief plague and stare into her eyes.

Me: Are you sure you know me well?

I shine my eyes at her so that her ‘friends’ can’t see me and leave the classroom.

The exit door beckons. I smile and run out of the building, looking for my friends. I managed to see them, sitting on a bench, chatting sadly. I come up behind them and shout a loud BOO. The four of them jump and turn around as I laugh.

Me: You still want me to come back to Beacon Hills?

Allison: Of course!

She jumps on my neck, followed by Lydia and all the others. I laugh and hug them. Finally, the pack is back

Pdv Scott

We’re driving towards Beacon Hills. Hannah sits in the back with Stiles and I drive. I can’t wait for those two to get back together. They’re meant to be together. It reminds me of Allison and mo

Earlier

I walk with Allison in silence. We’ve both made up but I know there’s still some sort of unease. I know what’s causing it.

Me: Ali?

She turns to me and we stop walking.

Alison: Yes?

Me: Well.

I take my courage in both hands and speak

Me: I’m sorry. Sorry for the promise I made you that I didn’t keep.

Alison: Scott…

Me: No, wait. I told you I would wait and I didn’t. I apologise. Only now… Kira’s sick. She needs me and even despite my feelings for you.

I mean, come on. I had the courage to tell her! She must have noticed that I’m sad because, despite my courage, we won’t be able to be together, so she takes my hands and smiles at me.

Alison: It’s OK, I understand and… I’ll wait for you.

I smile and k**s the top of her hands. I don’t know when, but I know that one day Alison and I will be together.

Now

I’m sitting in the back. A big suitcase is on my lap and I can’t help but smile. It’s going to be a long journey so I decide to open my phone again and check my messages.

[Stiles: Hannah, where are you? I miss you so much it hurts. I’ve been the biggest idiot. Please tell me where you are and we’ll come get you! The pack still exists Hannah ] [Stiles: We exist too. I love you]

I smile and take her hand. Stiles is surprised at first but ends up smiling back as he strokes the top of my hand. My pulse quickens. I want to k**s him now. I’m about to but Scott’s phone rings

Scott: Can you answer it? It’s in my bag.

Me: I’ll get it!

I take out his phone. It’s Masson calling

Me: Masson?

Masson: Hannah?! Where is Scott?

Me: He’s driving. What’s going on? You look scared!

Masson: There’s a… a beast! The doctors have their creature! It’s huge! Look on the internet for “bête du gevaudant”.

Me: OK, I’ll have a look. We’ll be there in about an hour. Call back if anything happens, okay?

Masson: Yes. Bye Hannah and … I’m glad you’re back.

Me: So am I. Bye Masson

I hang up and use my powers to learn more about the beast

Mary Jeanne Valet, descendant of the Argent family. Her brother, Sébastien Valet, was transformed into a beast and killed hundreds of people. Mary Jeanne managed to kill him with a weapon made of rowan, wolfbane and mistletoe. To erase all traces of him, the villagers use a method that consists of burning any document that even remotely refers to Sébastien, the Beast of Gevaudant.

Me: Wow…

Stiles: What?

Me: There’s a… a beast in Beacon Hills. And it’s worse than anything we’ve ever seen.
