Stiles: Keep your eyes on the game! If you see anything suspicious, send us a message and leave!

Me: I’m not leaving! I want to help!

Stiles: But you/

I’m pulling a crossbow out of my bag. Thanks, Alison!

Stiles: Do you even know how to use it?

Me: I spent 7 years of my life with a cop, you bet I know how to use it!

He nods and goes out onto the pitch after being called by the coach. I put the crossbow away in my bag and Alison and Lydia join me, so I make room for them.

Allison: Do you see Garret?

I point to the player with the number 7. They nod and we concentrate on the match.

Later on

Half-time has started. So far, so good. Beaconhills are winning the game and Garret hasn’t done anything yet.

Lydia: Oh f**k!

Me: What?

She’s pointing at number 7 who’s taking his helmet off and it’s not Garret! It’s some guy I’ve never seen before! I call Scott but he doesn’t answer. Neither is Stiles.

Me: Let the guys know if you see them!

I take the crossbow from my bag and run inside the school. I look everywhere, but there’s not the slightest trace of my friends or Garret. I put my head in my hands to calm myself down and I hear a strange noise coming from the changing room. Like someone hitting the air with a whip to make noise. I run into the changing room. Violette, Garret’s girlfriend, is strangling Scott. I shoot an arrow against the wall and she flinches when she sees me. Taking advantage of her distraction, Scott gets rid of the tourniquet and punches Violette, knocking her over and causing her to faint. I throw myself at Scott, worried.

Me: Are you all right?

He nods, unable to speak and I gasp. I send a message to the pack to let them know everything’s fine. I call the sheriff to report Violet and turn to my brother.

Me: Where’s Garret?

Scott: He’s gone. That’s why I left the field.

I nod and wait for him to feel better before getting up.

We leave the changing room and I hold Scott to make sure he doesn’t fall over after what he’s been through. Violette is brought in by an officer. I catch sight of an unfamiliar figure. I frown and turn to Scott. He too seems to recognise the man. We move towards him and I nearly fall. I let go of Scott and stumble towards the exit, completely stunned. How did I not recognise him… My dad’s… There he is. In Beaconhills… I run into someone. Stiles. He sees me panic and asks me a lot of questions that I don’t understand because I’m so shocked. I run out of the school hearing my name echoed but I don’t pay any attention to it and I run.
