She really was the one for the job, Olivia was a wonderful woman. Every day I had less and less doubts about her. The CEO watched her a little more, even approached her person without knowing why. She was like a magnet, he was always drawn to her without him being able to help himself.

She wasn’t blind not to notice that her boss was getting too close, and that was a danger for her. Since her emotions were all over the place, plus the closeness of this man, she was capable of not responding if he tried to k**s her.

But sanity was the one who could win that battle, Olivia took the card from her boss and took two steps back, very slyly.

-I’ll see how I can use it,” she tried to smile, and forget what was about to happen.

-It’s OK, if you have any doubts, you can call me on my mobile.

-Sure, it’s in my…” She frowns, realising that her bag wasn’t in the room. In these hotels, don’t the bellboys take the bags up to the rooms?

-Of course, all the suitcases are in the bedrooms.

-Mine isn’t…

-Are you sure? -Caleb enters her room, which makes the brunette’s heart race. They usually always leave it in the wardrobe,” he adds, then opens the closet doors. Strange,” she says when she sees that there’s nothing there.

-They could be in the girls’ room.

-I’ll go check…

As Caleb pretends to leave the room, a couple of characters enter Olivia’s room.

-What’s going on in here? Dad, why are you in the nanny’s room? -Talia looks at Olivia with obvious hatred and contempt.

-In her room is Olivia’s suitcase? -The father decides to ignore his daughter’s tantrum, which the brunette finds quite strange.

But the moment Caleb asked his daughter about the suitcase, the blonde became a little uneasy and immediately looked away. Olivia couldn’t believe her mind, it was impossible for that girl to throw her suitcase away, at what point?

-No, it’s not in our room, is it Alma?

-I didn’t see her, and we already unpacked,” Caleb looked at his daughters’ faces, he was looking for deception, but he couldn’t find it.

-Are they telling the truth? -He approaches the two of them, looking for a way to intimidate them.

-I told you he’s not in my room, maybe he got lost in the transfer from the plane to the limousine,” the young woman feigns innocence.

-Talia, you know perfectly well that doesn’t happen on my plane.

-How should I know, Dad?” The blonde folds her arms, downplaying the issue.

Caleb couldn’t blame his daughter without proof, no matter how hard he tried to get the truth out of her, he couldn’t possibly succeed. So for the time being, she’d have to let that problem go. But he certainly wasn’t going to let it go. He would find out the truth.

-If I find out that you had anything to do with the disappearance of the bag, you’re in serious trouble, young lady.

-I’ve got enough on my plate, or don’t you remember you grounded me for a year.

-You’d better behave yourself, Talia. Stop playing these tasteless games, but above all don’t involve your sister in these matters. Is that clear to you?

-I haven’t done anything!

After answering her father in a bad way, the blonde runs out of the room all victimized, but once alone in the corridor, she smiles openly.

Her little sister came after her, and seeing her smile, she was curious.

-Was it you?

-Yes, I left her suitcase in a taxi. I don’t think we’ll see her again.

-Why did you do it?

-Because she dared to come back to look after us after what I did to her, we don’t need anyone to look after us. We already have someone to take care of us.

-But Talia, do you think he’ll come back?

-Of course he will, if he’s coming back. I’m absolutely sure, Alma,” the older girl hugs the younger one. Don’t worry.

-I’m not so sure anymore, besides; this girl has put up a lot of resistance to your heavy games. Don’t you think we should give her a chance?

-Have you seen her hair? -Talia decides to change the subject. She’s cut it to the height I cut her hair, she’s a fool, it was easier for her to get extensions.

-Yes,” the little girl laughs. She looks quite funny.

And with that, Talia gets her sister to forget all about the foolishness of wanting to give this woman a chance. They didn’t need another woman in their lives, let alone in their father’s life.

-I’m very sorry about your suitcase, I…

-I don’t have anything else in my handbag, at least I have my documents here. But in that bag I have my clothes, my phone and other important things.

-I’ll try to get your bag back, Olivia. I’ll leave the complaint at reception, and I’ll order them to look for the bag.

-I hope they find it,” she replies, crossing her arms.

Caleb knew she was upset, and who wasn’t, it was clear she suspected her daughter had something to do with it. But she was like him, she had no evidence to accuse her. The whole thing was a complete mess.

-Olivia, you have my card. You can buy whatever you want, if you need clothes, buy them. I feel responsible for the loss of your things.

-Why? Do you think, like me, that your daughter had something to do with it? -He is silent, it was a serious accusation.

-I’ll find out what happened, I promise.

< Of course! He’s never going to take it out on his daughter. He knows she did it, but he won’t say anything until he finds out.

-It’s all right, Mr Palmer.

-The atmosphere had become heavy, the subject of his daughter’s accusation had made things tense.

-I’ll call him if anything happens with his daughters.

The CEO nods, then leaves. At that moment Olivia lets out her breath, these days were going to be very heavy for her. Having to put up with those girls and their tasteless games, and also the overprotective father. How on earth was she going to manage?

Now she had no clothes, only what she was wearing… Olivia collapses her body on the bed, it made her want to quit, but she couldn’t do it either, and all because she had spent a big part of the bonus her boss gave her.

-Damn contract, I’m tied to this job,” she mumbles.

Olivia and Caleb’s daughters left the hotel in the afternoon, but it was Alma’s decision. The girl didn’t want to stay cooped up in the hotel, so Olivia was forced to ask for the car they had arranged for them to leave.

Both girls decided to go to a shopping centre. And since they both knew that the brunette had her father’s credit card, they wanted to spend it on anything, but Olivia wasn’t willing to indulge their every whim. It wasn’t her money, but she didn’t expect these girls to squander it on nonsense either.

-That’s my father’s money, not yours. So you should pay for whatever we want,” Talia was arguing with Olivia in the middle of the mall.

-I told you it’s not unnecessary for you to buy that kind of outfit, you’re not going to wear it Talia. Your father would never let you wear that?

-You don’t want to control me like he wants to control me, if I want to wear those clothes, I do it and that’s it. Neither you nor my father is going to stop me.

-But I won’t let you buy it, I won’t swipe the card. I’m really sorry.

-Do you want me to dial my father? -The blonde pulls out her mobile phone and makes a threatening gesture.

Olivia looks at the device, and then at the brat. She looks up a little more and sees the expression of the bodyguard who always accompanied Caleb. From that day on he would be accompanying them by order of his boss. The brunette realised that he knew the girls were devils.

-Call him, but I won’t pay for your cravings.

Caleb wasn’t going to fire her, or well, she was counting on him not to fire her for not indulging his daughter’s brattishness. If he did fire her, she had no idea how to replace that money.

However, he didn’t plan to patronise his daughter. Especially after she had thrown her suitcase at him. Although, if he made a deal with the little girl, they could work something out.

Olivia leans towards her and sharpens her gaze…

-If you tell me where my suitcase is, I’ll pay for your every whim,” the brunette smiles half-sideways.

While the blonde looked at her more enraged than ever in her life. That look of hatred gave her away instantly, if she had been the cause of all that mess of her belongings. Olivia glanced sideways at little Alma and noticed that she, too, wore a surprised expression. She was slowly getting to know these girls, and that would be a point in her favour.

-So? We can make a deal.

-I don’t make deals with starving girls like you,” Olivia snapped and looked at her dumbfounded. I don’t know how my father hired you, all our nannies have been from wealthy families. But you,” he looked her up and down, “you’re just a poor girl who wants my father’s money, and how about you, buy something with my father’s card.

The young woman turned away and went on her way, her words were quite cold. Talia looked as if she had no feelings, she was so surly. And the degree of her haughtiness was tremendous. He wondered, what was really the reason why she was like that.

The brunette watches her walk around the place, as if nothing had happened. And while she shouldn’t take her words seriously, they were indeed hurtful. However, she wasn’t about to show her that she was affected by his emphasis on the difference in social class.

To Olivia, money didn’t make a person better, everyone was equal. And just because one person had more money than another made them better.

Still holding Alma’s hand, the brunette decides to follow the young woman without saying a word. She passed by the bodyguard, who looked at her as if he wanted to say something. But he didn’t, it was obvious that he had heard every last word.

All she could do was breathe, and pretend that Talia hadn’t said anything. At least she had managed to take away his crazy idea of buying strange clothes that he wasn’t even going to wear. She was just a whimp who liked to get in trouble with her father.

Olivia denies and continues that hellish walk…
