Sky’s Rejection Chapter 51

(Dimitri’s POV)

“Son? You need to come back in control. Your kingdom needs you.” My father says calmly as he approaches a growling Demon.

He’s right Demon. There are enemies attacking our people. We need to be there for them, lead the pack. I try to express to Demon, he’s still growling but I could feel him coming to realization.

‘What about mate?’ Demon question half angry, half scared. I feel his pain. I want our mate too but father is right we need to figure out who took her and how to help her logically, after we protect our people.

We will send our most trusted men out while we deal with protecting our pack first. Then we can focus equal on both, I thought back in return. Demon hesitated for a few seconds before giving control back to me.

‘Let’s go, I need to get back to my people.’ I mind linked my dad, as he shifted into his wolf, nudging at the oracle to jump on him and took off after me.

‘What’s happening? I am on my way.’ I mind link Dean as I feel Demon trying to stay focused on our pack first.

‘They seem to be trying to leave boarders, like retreating.’ Dean communicates back as he seems to be confused.

‘We aren’t going to allow that. Stop them from your side and I will get them from behind. Circle formation. Attack from trees and ground. Kill all but one. Also send my red team out to search for Diane and Sky.’ I commanded back and all I got was a mental nod, making me realize he was getting everything set up.

‘You ready for a fight father? Kill all but one.’ I connected with my father as his wolf head nodded in confirmation. I could feel his excitement through the link and I realize my father hasn’t had a good fight in a while. Today he will.

As I approached the northern boarder of my lands, I see the rogues… no, that’s not it. Vampires, at least fifty, retreating from my boarders. What they don’t realize is that my father and I are behind them and I have about fifteen warriors in the trees surrounding them. This is going to be fun.

‘ATTACK,’ I command to every warrior in the vicinity. I see the warriors jumping from the trees, the warriors shooting bows from the trees filled with garlic oil, causing the vampires shot to fall to the ground, withering in pain. I charge for the ones not down yet and start tearing through their necks, successfully decapitating them as my front line warriors help me. I see my father to my left, covered in b***d as he tears the vampires to shreds.

‘Do not forget. KEEP ONE ALIVE.’ I command, reminding my warriors to keep aware. As I rip the last head off, of one of the vampires writhing in pain I shift back to my body. Fully dressed, but covered in b***d. I see Dean and Scotty holding down a vampire who is trying his hardest to bite them.

“Did anyone get bit?” I asked before address the vampire.

‘Let me at him. I will torture and kill him for attacking our lands.’ Demon bites out in anger.

“No Alpha,” My warriors course out in response. If they got bit they would have to be isolated until we know if they are strong enough to fight off the vampire venom or they succumb to the intrusion and become a new vampire.

I can’t let you do that right now Demon, we need to stay in the right mind frame. I thought back to my wolf as i looked around at my warriors, trying to see if anyone was hiding the fact they got bitten.

“Good, Mark, Dean and Tommy, head to the holding cell with the living vampire. The rest of you collect the bodies and burn them. Then get back into post marks and keep the land safe.” I bellowed in my Alpha command.

“Yes Alpha,” coursed out as they saluted before taking off to do what was needed of them.

“Have you found Sky?” A worried Ariel screeches as I walk into the pack house.

Before I can answer, a link pushes through my mind. I try to block it but Demon growls in frustration. ‘Vampire. King. Mate. Help.’ That’s all I hear before the connection is lost. s**t, this is going to be harder than I thought.

(Sky’s POV)

I shiver in fear, as the man walks back into my room or maybe it’s his room. Some how he was able to suppress my powers, my counterparts and the mate bond. I am able to feel that Di is still alive but nothing else.

My body aches from the beating I received a few hours ago, or maybe it has been days. After passing out, I don’t think I know the concept of time. If I had Rain and Angel with me we would be killing this wuss of a man. I will never stop fighting him.

“Are you ready to be a good girl now?” The man asked as I starred defiantly in his direction. The swelling on my face not making it any easier for me. No answer was given, his presence didn’t deserve a response. I just continued to stare at the monster, wishing I could kill him sooner than later.

“Fine, we will have to wait a few days for you to heal and then we will hold a mating ceremony. You will be the vampire Queen.” I growled at him, or at least I hope it was towards him, as I struggled to rise to my feet, successfully cutting him off. The red fiery anger reappeared in his eyes and without my counterparts with me and no strength I knew another beating was about to come.

He charged at me, a blur of colors surrounding me. He wrapped his long, ice cold fingers tight around my neck as my body slammed against the wall in hyper speed. s**t. That is going to hurt later on. I feel my feet just dangling in the air. Darkness begins to spot my vision, as my breathing staggers. I am going to pass out or maybe this time he will just kill me. I would rather be dead than be a Queen to anyone other than my mate.

“You will be my mate. You WILL carry my heir. We will be the most powerful mated pair to exist. Our babies will be tribrids. So just accept your fate sweetie and become the Queen the vampires need.” He says in a hiss, the anger slowly fading from his eyes as he whispers, “Because right now, you look… Weak.”

With that, I am dropped to the ground, gasping for air greedily. As soon as I feel I have enough air in my lungs, I slowly look up at him. A gurgling cackle leaves my throat, as I laugh in his face, spitting the b***d building in my mouth at him. “I will never carry your heir.”

The anger returns to his eyes, as he goes to charge me again. This time being stopped by his second hand as he removes him from the room, trying to calm his King down.

Am I really weak? Maybe even the werewolf Kingdom deserves better. Why does this man even want me? Is it because he thinks I can give him a tribrid? That isn’t how this works. I shouldn’t even exist, hybrids are unheard of. Does he really think an off spring from me will give him that? That means, he’s the King of Vampires. I am in the Kingdom of the Vampires.

I look over to the couch, seeing Diane sitting there. She stared the whole time the altercation was occurring and seeming to be lost in thought right now. Is she working with him? Is that why she didn’t want Dean as her mate? It was wrong he force-ably marked her and he should have waited for her to be ready but does she think this is the solution?All of her injuries have healed and it makes me wonder how much loyalty she has to this monster.

“Diane?” I start weakly, trying to make the pain subside for at least a few minutes. I need to ask her without fully accusing her. I need to think like a nurturer, like a Queen. What if I am wrong about all of this?

“I am so sorry Sky, I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. Look at you. I hate what he is doing to you but I have no choice in the matter. I have to help him.” Diane sobbed, I could feel the sincerity in her words. Wait a second, did she say she was sorry?

“Why?” Was all I could manage as I starred in complete shock. I honestly can’t believe she was involved in this. She was my friend, I was excited when I found out she would be my Beta female, Ariel, her and I all just click. Like it was destined.

“My mother’s mate owned me, I had to do whatever he asked of me. Then he sold me to a warlock who used my energy whenever he pleased. When he found a younger, more energetic version he sold me to the vampire King. When his son took over he said I would be released of my responsibilities but his son said I had one more job. To find him a powerful mate. I searched high and low. Once he found his destined mate I thought the search was over. I told him about you, about how excited the Werewolf King was to find his mate after so long. I thought he was excited for his old friend but I guess I was wrong. He is making suppress all of your counter parts and mate bond. He wants you as his own but I just found out. I always wanted a mate, I did, but to be tied down again, where someone can control me. Scared every bone in my body. That’s why I wanted to reject Dean. I didn’t mean for any of this to happen.” Diane explained through her tears. I sensed no lie and I realized I misjudged her completely.

I scooted my sore body towards her, wrapping her in my arms and letting her bawl her eyes out on me. I needed to be there for her, for all my people and for my mate. Now to get back to them will be the question.

“Everything will be okay. If you are the one suppressing my powers, could you open the link to Dimitri so he can help us get out of this hell hole. No matter if you were sold to them, mate bonds are sacred. Dean can protect you, we all can protect you. Dean would never hold you down, control you or make you feel less. I promise you that. We can do this together. As royal Luna and Royal female Beta. What do you say?” I asked softly as I stroked Diane’s hair in a motherly way. Right now she needed family, she needed friends and she needed allies.

“Okay, Together?” Diane asked in reassurance and I nodded my head as I held her closer in a protective stance. We could do this, together.

I felt my bond with Dimitri click in to place but only slightly, I hoped this worked.
