Sky’s Rejection Chapter 24

(Sky’s POV)

‘Sky, you have been moping around for three days now. I don’t know what happened and I am not asking you to talk about it again. When you are ready, I will listen. I invited the three top Alphas over for a dinner discussion. One of the top council members will be there too. You need to be there. Can I count on you to get dressed and come or do I need to drag you there?’ Ty mind linked me, one hundred percent alpha and dad mode going right now.

‘I will be there Ty, I am sorry I have been awol the last three days.’ I mind linked back and then cut the link. I have been trying to come to terms that I need to go through another rejection. It hurts to think about it and Angel and Rain have been eerily quiet for the last three days. I don’t know if they are just hurting as much as me or if they want to give me space so I can make this decision.

The question is, do we keep holding on to the hope Dimitri will come around and we will be happy or do we stop prolonging the rejection process? I should have decided by now but I haven’t.

I jump out of the tree I have been perched on for the last three days. In the beginning, I knew they had been going out looking for me again. Once I linked Ty telling him I was safe and just needed space, he told everyone else to leave me be and some bull crap about if I don’t want to be found, I never will be. I mean it is true, but I just needed to think about everything with Dimitri, come to terms with everything.

I ran to the pack house, climbing up the wall to my floor and sneaking in through my bedroom window. I don’t want to run into anyone yet and this was the best option to prevent a run – in. As I enter my bedroom, I decide I need to start with a shower. I know I must smell at this point. I throw the water on as hot as I can, I need to scrape all this dirt and stentch of my skin.

Once I feel refreshed, I turn the water off, squeezing the extra water that is dripping down my back out of my hair. I grab a soft fluffy towel and run the smooth material over my body. Watching as it slowly collects every droplet of water off my skin. Can I live without my second chance mate? Could I watch him move on with someone else? I could feel Rain blocking out my thoughts, as Angel whines at where my thoughts have gone. I slip on a one – shoulder black bodice dress, making my breasts pop. I slip on my black lace booty short underwear and then look at myself in the mirror. You can do this, Sky, just wipe your mind clear and keep your emotions away. I cleared my throat and walked out of my room, ignoring everyone as I made it to the dining room for dinner. I see Alpha Wayne and his luna, who are currently eyeing my mate. She is a she – wolf who likes to climb the ranks. Interesting. How did Wayne fall for someone like that? There is Alpha Bane with his luna, who only has eyes for him. That is how you know they are true mates. Then Alpha William, who is alone and keeps glancing at me. I dare him to try to eye f**k me and he will end up with a broken nose. My mate and his second and third are sitting at the head of the table. After a few seconds of taking everyone in and reading their emotions on the situation, Ty walks in with head council member Josh, the eldest werewolf to exist.

Josh smiles in my direction and I give him a slight nod in acknowledgement. They know how emotionless I am and they seem to like it. Thinking they can ask me to do anything and I won’t have any reaction to it. As if I have no emotions at all. I internally rolled my eyes at that thought.

Dimitri sees the exchange between Josh and I and he abruptly stands up, ” If you could all excuse me for two minutes. I have a phone call I must take before we start this discussion.”

Impressive how he tries to keep his emotions hidden, not well enough though. Alpha Wayne’s luna says something about having to use the bathroom and excusing herself. Something doesn’t settle well with this. Why would she leave at the same time as my mate?

I jumped out of my seat, shocking everyone around me. Without any excuse, I took off following my mate’s scent. I was right though, I smelled that little slut’s scent near him. As I approached, I saw the fake luna try to jump onto my mate’s lap. He pushes her away, causing her to wail her arms as she falls to the ground. I hear footsteps coming in this direction and realize the dinner party has just shown up.

‘DO NOT TOUCH ME.” Dimitri said, deadly in his alpha voice.

‘What is up with every bimbo trying to throw themselves at our mate?’ Angel growled in my head.

‘Let me at her, I will slowly kill that little bitch.’ Rain angrily said as she tried to claw her way to the front of my mind. Looks like my two counter – parts decided to come back. Isn’t that nice?

‘Look at our mate, she f*****g scratched his face.’ Angel growls, she’s angry and I don’t blame her.

I was so focused on his stern alpha tone that was turning me on, that I hadn’t realized it until Angel pointed it out, but there were angry red scratches on his cheek with b***d dripping down on to his white button – up shirt. That must have happened when she was wailing her arms around, like an i***t. It is like a two – foot drop to the ground. I am now beyond pissed. I was already angry that this bimbo tried to touch what is ours, but to know she left her mark on him enrages me. Angel and Rain want to take control, though I don’t let them. I allow them to sit in the front seat with me, but I want to be the one to personally beat this bimbo’s a*s. If she wasn’t so important, I would torture her and then snap her neck.

Alpha Wayne comes storming into the room, seeing his luna sitting on the ground. “What the hell is going on here?”

“He… he… he… tried to take advantage of me.” His luna cried on the floor. Dimitri looks around in shock and then sighs. He sniffs the air as he turns quickly in my direction. The look of panic ran across his face, as if he thought I would believe her and he would be more on my bad side.

‘Mates scared we believe her.’ Angel whimpers in my head. I feel her anger starting to slide away, but Rain and I stay focused on the girl, someone needs to and she needs to pay for lying about our mate and placing her claim on him by marking up his face.

“You tried to touch my mate. The council will have your head on this. It doesn’t matter if you are the royal alpha. High Councilman Josh?” Alpha Wayne exclaimed in anger as he rushed at Dimitri. I don’t f*****g think so. I look Josh dead in the eye and he steps back, letting me handle this. The council hates getting their hands dirty.

He is fast, but I am faster. I kicked him in the stomach and then struck him in the face with my fist, as he fell backwards onto the floor. I placed my foot onto his neck, holding him down. His nose is now bleeding and his luna is screaming for me to let him go. Her make – up running down her face with her tears and her hair in a mess.

“Calm down you fool. You do not attack the Royal Alpha and you do not threaten him. The council would not replace him from his position when he didn’t break any laws. Your bimbo of a luna decided to climb on my mate’s lap as he was trying to complete his phone call. Leaving violent marks on a royal is punishable by death. I think having me as a mate is stressful enough for him. Don’t you?” I told him in a deadly voice. Using my alpha voice slightly, actually causing him to jerk in response. He nods his head as much as he can while my foot is blocking his airway. Slowly, I watch as his body calms down, allowing me to slowly release him.

‘Can we deal with the bimbo now?’ Rain asked in anger, ready to tear that she – wolf apart. Man, Katrina should be happy Rain wasn’t here yet when I dealt with her.

‘No let’s go show mate we aren’t mad at him, please?’ Angel begged in my head, making me feel bad for constantly pushing him away. Though defending him is my way of showing him how much I care about him, even if I am not ready to let him fully in yet.

I look over at his luna and she growls at me. I look at her up and down, she doesn’t necessarily look that great. Her hair is a complete bird’s nest and she is wearing clothes with very thin material to the point that she could almost be considered naked. “You could do better Wayne, she obviously isn’t your mate if she is trying to touch what is mine. This bimbo is chubby and fake… I mean Wayne, I think you could get a she – wolf with at least real boobs.” I commented, trying to piss her off. I saw Dimitri smirk when I called him mine, live it up big boy. I will be dealing with you later.

‘Yeah, strapped in our bed and mating.’ Angel purred. Goddess, only my wolf would be a horn dog right now.

She growls as she begins to run towards me to attack me, though she obviously fails. I punched her full force into her stomach, as I watched her fly across the room and into the wall. Damn, our strength has increased.

‘You’re welcome.’ Rain said with a smirk in my head. Wow, the perks of being a witch and a wolf.

She hunches over, grabbing her stomach with both her arms. I used this opportunity to slowly walk up to her. I grabbed her hair and slammed her face into the glass table three times, as hard as I could. Making the glass table shatter all over the living room floor. s**t, I think we are going to have to clean that mess up.

‘Who is we?’ Rain says as she hides away in the back of my mind.

‘I am with her.’ Angel whispers as she follows Rain. Goddess, you two are so helpful.

f**k it, time to make this bimbo understand. I feel my wolf and witch peak forward a little. I grab the bimbo by the throat, lifting her off the ground and slamming her into the wall. I watch as she struggles to breath, trying to rip into my arm with her claws but failing over and over again.

I tighten my grip around her throat as I hear Angel and Rain agree on the same thing, ‘Kill her.’

Rain starts to doubt her logic as she makes the comment of, ‘Maybe we shouldn’t do that. It will look bad for our mate.’

You’re right. I tightened my grip as I lifted her up some more. “If I catch you ever doing this again, I will kill you on the spot, no warning. Do you understand?” I asked her in an eerily calm voice. I swear if it didn’t reflect badly on Dimitri, I would end her now.

“And for you!” I began as I looked at Alpha Wayne. “Take care of this slut of yours. Make sure she stays away from what is mine, so she doesn’t lose her limbs one by one, and if I were you I would find a new she – wolf for the luna position. You can tell by the way she acts she isn’t your real mate. A fake and slutty luna makes for the down fall of your pack. Pathetic. She will ruin you and your pack.”

I let the fake a*s luna go, as she falls to the floor like a sack of potatoes and begins to cough as she tries to catch her breath.

“Go wait outside in the car and keep your paws to yourself as I finish this discussion with Royal Alpha Dimitri, the other alphas and the councilman.” Alpha Wayne tells the bimbo as he pulls her towards the exit.

“But… I am hungry.” She whines, as she tries to stomp her feet.

“Really? Maybe you should have kept your filthy paws to yourself then. Now you don’t get to stay in here.” Wayne sarcastically told her as she stumbled out the front doors.

‘Thank Goddess she is gone, if I had to see her face for one more minute I might have gotten sick.’ Angel said in disgust. I couldn’t stand her either, not after knowing her paws were on our mate and she left a mark on him.

‘Or murder the little slut, like we should have done in the first place. Watching her b***d drain all over the floor would have been satisfying.’ Rain chuckled, goddess. These two make quite a pair. If they aren’t arguing, they are agreeing about something illegal to do. I am going to have fun with these two.

As I look over at Dimitri, I see he is already looking at me, with a look on his face I can’t honestly decipher. What the hell is our mate thinking?

“I am finished with my phone call. Let’s resume this discussion in the dining hall over dinner,” Dimitri said as he stood up like nothing was happening and headed to the dining room table.

As we sit down, I keep my face emotionless. Josh keeps looking at me with concern throughout the meal. I just try ignoring him, though he and the vampire councilman, Quin, are the only two I would talk to there. I see out of the corner of my eye Alpha William continuously checking me out, especially my breast. Goddess, help me. I could feel the anger radiating off my mate and Ty was trying to wrap up the meeting before Dimitri exploded.

I am kind of happy to know that he cares enough that he doesn’t want others to gawk at me, but then why doesn’t he show me that? Maybe it is only his wolf that cares or an instinct from the mate bond.

The meeting is almost over and I have barely listened to any of it. We were discussing how to handle the rogues, how to protect all the packs and what the punishment should be if a pack is working with the rogues. Specifically, the woodland pack. The council wants proof that the pack is working with the rogues and then we can be done with this meeting.

“I will gather intel and provide it to the council as soon as possible,” Dimitri said as he stood up. Goddess, the way he acts so professionally is amazing. Keeping a serious face even when he is pissed off. So sexy. Oh, wait.

“Josh, wait. I have all the information for you now. Pictures of Alpha Xander and the two traitors from the royal pack meeting with the rogues they set up on how they plan to attack, future plans they have been discussing, how many rogues they have and that the pack has accepted to help them.” I told him as a stood up and pulled out a binder full of all the proof and information the council will need.

“Happy to know someone knows how we work,” Josh chuckled as he took the binder from me and sent me a wink. Always the flirt, even though he is one hundred and ten percent loyal to his mate. It is sad she died ten years ago in a random rogue attack. “Give me a few days and I will be in touch.”

They all say goodbye and head out. I stood there staring at my mate. I finally know what I have to do.
