I was reborn.

Back to Valentine's Day when Liam Prescott took me to meet his friends.

The burning sensation of sulfuric acid corroding my skin gradually faded away.

The conversations around me became clearer.

"Liam, you're not being fair to us!"

"You've had a girlfriend for so long, and only now you're bringing her to meet us."

Some friends were making a fuss.

I instinctively glanced towards Aria Blackwell, who was sitting in the corner.

She seemed not to have heard, engrossed in her phone.

Until Liam called her, "Stop playing with your phone and come meet my girlfriend."

A fleeting expression of disgust flashed across Aria's face, quickly replaced by a natural, carefree smile as she walked towards us. "Oh my, I'm so sorry."

"So this is your girlfriend? She's really pretty!"

Liam looked somewhat smug, "Of course, just look at my good taste."

Aria laughed carefreely, naturally putting her arm around Liam's shoulders.

"You're not being modest at all."

Everyone burst into laughter.

Even Liam didn't notice anything amiss.

They seemed long accustomed to this mode of interaction.

My gaze fell quietly on Aria's hand on Liam's shoulder.

Amid the laughter, Liam glanced at me and realized it wasn't quite right. He raised his hand to gently brush off Aria's.

Seeing my displeased expression, Liam pulled me aside and said:

"Olivia, don't be angry. I treat Aria like a brother, we've been rough-housing since we were kids, it's just a habit." "Mm." I nodded and took a sip of water.

While I was resting in the corner, I overheard Liam quietly instructing his friends nearby.

"Remember, my girlfriend is allergic to flowers."

"No matter what, don't let her come into contact with any flowers."

Liam's voice was very low; he thought I had fallen asleep sitting there.

Soon, I heard Aria's sour sarcasm.

"If you ask me, your girlfriend is really delicate. In all my years, I've never heard of anyone being allergic to flowers." Hearing this, I immediately opened my eyes.
