Seven Years of Marriage with Jake -
Chapter 32
Book 2- Chapter 23
Zack gazed at my expression, his eyes crinkling with a smile:
"Ava, do you remember now?"
"Yeah, Zack, I can't believe you still remember this!" I was actually quite surprised. You were so skinny and small as a child, but now you've grown up to be so. so tempting.
Zack and I had dinner together. After ordering, we said in unison to the waiter, "No cilantro!"
So after all these years, he still remembered that I don't eat cilantro.
I remember the first time I ate with Ethan, there was a dish with chopped cilantro in it. I didn't notice and took a bite, then covered my mouth and gagged. After he learned I couldn't handle the taste of cilantro, he laughed and said, "Why are you so fastidious!" After that, whenever we went out to eat, he never once proactively said "no cilantro" when ordering.
So actually, his lack of care for me was hidden in the details, only I was blinded by his fake verbal tenderness.
I closed my eyes briefly, then smiled and thanked Zack.
Thank you for caring about my likes and feelings.
