Callan, who was sitting in a lotus position on the ground, opened his eyes. Upon seeing James, he smiled delightedly and said, "James, I thought you returned to Wyrmstead. Why have you returned to Mount Bane?"

James looked at him and said, "You were being enveloped in Spiritual Energy when you were cultivating. I guess you must have found your cultivation method."

"Yes." Callan sighed and said, "It's been so many years. At long last, I've finally found my own path. I remember back then that you were simply a brat in my eyes. However, in just a few years, you managed to become so powerful, while I remained stagnant. Finally, I was able to find my own path and cross into the ninth rank."

James said smilingly, "It's great that you were able to cross into the ninth rank. Remember, one step at a time. Although the environment has changed, this has many benefits for martial artists and cultivators as a whole. At least we have an abundance of Empyrean Spiritual Energy now."

The natural catastrophe was accelerating the evolutionary process of humans. Since the weak were disposed of, only the strong remained. Though the environment was hostile to ordinary people, it was a blessing in disguise for martial artists and cultivators.

"By the way, why have you come to Mount Bane?" Callan looked at James and asked.

James sat on a rock and handed him a cigarette as he narrated the chain of events that unfolded.

Callan sighed, "You truly are a blessing to Earth."

James smiled and said, "Alright, I won't bother you any further. I'll be heading to Bane City at once."

"Get going, then."

Callan waved his hand slightly. James then stood up and turned to leave.

Soon, he arrived at Bane City.

Immediately, his appearance attracted much-unwanted attention. Although he was far weaker than the top-notch Outsiders, he was nonetheless the most powerful cultivator of Earth. Besides, news of Sacrilegious Ascension had spread far and wide. As this was a terrifying cultivation method, he naturally garnered a lot of attention.

As he entered the city, many Outsiders by the gates unconsciously moved aside. Some, however, approached him. As the subordinates of the top-notch Outsiders, their masters were intrigued by James and wanted to meet him personally.

The Marcello before him was wearing women's wear, a pair of earrings, and ornaments embroidered with beads on her head. Her bright smile was captivating. "What's wrong?"

Marcello walked over to James and giggled.

"Y-You're a woman?"

"Well, I never said I was a man."

James scrutinized her from head to toe. Her figure was slender, and her appearance was glamorous and as delicate as a piece of art.

After some time, he collected himself, "I came here to request your help."
