After Kiran gave the word, his crew had their rifles trained on Caelum.

As Kiran led Sandy downstairs, he casually remarked, "Watch yourselves, don't let one off by accident. The old man's not as spry as he used to be, he can't handle it." "Brother..." Sandy's face went white. She knew Kiran wouldn't actually hurt their dad, but that didn't stop the worry from gnawing at her.

Out front, a luxury car waited outside the Pollard residence.

Kiran signaled with his hand and said, "Let's pack it up."

"Yes, sir!"

Kiran's men swiftly exited from the Pollard estate.

Caelum stood there, shaking like a leaf. The butler was quick to steady him, murmuring, "Sir, hang in there..."

"Hang in there? That fool, pointing a gun at his own father! He's just..."

Before Caelum could finish, a metallic taste filled his mouth, and he coughed up blood.

"Sir!"

Outside the Pollard estate.

"Brother..." Sandy wanted to rush back to check on her dad, aware he was too old for this kind of shock.

But Kiran just swung open the car door, saying, "He'll be fine. Get in."

Sandy had no choice but to slide into the passenger seat.

She figured she'd keep trying to talk sense into her brother, hoping one day he'd come around. Then maybe their dad wouldn't have to worry anymore. Meanwhile, over at the Aldridge family estate abroad...

The room was filled with the scent of calming incense. After setting everything up, Rick watched anxiously as William examined Gordon.

After what felt like forever, Rick couldn't hold back. "How is he? What's going on? Why aren't you saying anything?"

"Shush." William motioned for quiet.

Gordon lay there ghostly pale, his forehead damp with sweat, lips dry and colorless.

"Let's step outside." William's tone turned serious.

Rick cast one last worried look at Gordon before following William out.

William got straight to it, "How long has he been having these headaches?"

"They've been around for a while, but

Thinking back to last night sent a chill through Rick. Their boss was the type to endure pain that would floor anyone else, but passing out was a first.

"I told you, didn't I? He needs a break, some travel abroad!"

eve

William reiterated, "I meant a real vacation! Not just moving and still stressing out! He should relax by the sea, stroll through parks, watch the birds, heck, even try bungee jumping! I wanted him to unwind, not dwell on all those stressful things. But what's he doing? Juggling overseas business and Devonport affairs. There's an old saying, 'Too much wisdom can be harmful.' Haven't you heard? Doesn't he know?"

"I've tried convincing him! But he won't listen..."

"Can't get through to him, huh? Then brace yourself for the worst."

William spoke with a cool detachment, "Don't bother with other doctors. If I can't fix him, nobody can."

Rick went pale at those words.

Stress takes years off your life, while a carefree spirit can extend it.

Rick knew this well enough.

And so did the master.

Yet, he insisted on pushing his limits.
