Chapter 987

Anthony was about to get into the car, before he turned around and walked back to Anne.

Anne had thought that he needed to say something, but he simply covered the triplets’ eyes with both his hands and pressed his lips against hers, giving her a nibble before finally letting go.

The triplets did not know what had happened, and only noticed that their father had gotten into the car and their mother's face was flushing like a ripped apple.

Anne accompanied the children to draw in the living room when her phone rang. She glanced over and saw Anthony's name on the screen, so she took her phone with her as she walked outside. “Anthony...”

“I'm not coming home for lunch.”

"Oh, you are having lunch in the office?”

"Yeah. I will go back later in the afternoon.”

“Sure. I'll let you get back to work.”

“Good girl.”

“I...I'm not a child...” Anne kept getting a feeling that

Anthony was treating her like a child.

“I agree,” he said in a seductive tone.

Anne could sense that he meant something else, but could not figure what it was

After the call, she remained standing outside thoughtfully.

“Are you thinking about Mr. Marwood, Mrs. Marwood?” Mia came over and asked with a smile. Anne blushed. “No, I'm not thinking about him...”

“If you miss him, you can go to his office to look for him! * Mia said.

"He's busy. I don't want to disturb him.” Anne wanted to, but did not want to get in Anthony's way. "Why don't you deliver lunch for him? Mr. Marwood is so busy and he might forget to eat,” Mia suggested.

Anne realized that Mia was right. Anthony would eventually have to eat and delivering lunch for him seems like a legitimate excuse for a visit. However, she had never done so before and felt slightly unsure.

“Go ahead, Mrs. Marwood! He will be surprised if he sees you!" Mia dragged Anne to the living room and into the kitchen.

“Really?” Anne asked with uncertainty.

"Of course! There's a saying that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!”

In the end, Anne packed lunch for Anthony with Hayden's help. The main meal was placed inside a lunchbox along with a small container filled with soup, and another container with desserts.

“Mr. Marwood has a stomach issue, so it's best that he finishes the soup first before eating the rest. The soup we made here is definitely more nutritious compared to the ones outside.” Hayden could not agree to what Anne planned on doing more as he was pleased that Anthony and Anne were getting along.

“I will take the children with me,” Anne said, intending to draw strength from her triplets.

“You should go alone, Mrs. Marwood. With the kids there, you and Mr. Marwood won't be able to have the room to yourselves,” Mia said.

“Mia is right. You should go alone, Mrs. Marwood,” Hayden agreed with a smile.

Anne went into a car with the lunchbox in her hands and left the Royal Mansion.

She arrived at the Archduke Group a little over half an hour later and the driver helped to carry the lunchbox. “ Mrs. Marwood, I can help to carry this up.

“It's fine. I'll do it myself,” she refused.

She stepped into Anthony's private elevator and reached the highest floor of the building.

As she reached the office, she knocked and when there was no response, she pushed the door open and went inside.

Anthony was nowhere to be found and she set the lunchbox onto the coffee table, wondering if he was not in the office.

"Anthony, we can’t do this. Anne will be devastated if she finds out about us,” Bianca's voice came from the lounge.
