Ivan pulled her away, signaling her to leave Anthony alone.

Did she think none of them saw the blood on him?

As Anne was undergoing surgery, Anthony stood outside waiting. Hour after hour had passed, yet Anthony still stood there motionless, not even sitting down.

Suddenly, there was a sound at the door, and it opened.

Anthony's body shook violently, and his voice was so suppressed that it was hoarse. “How is she?” The nurse became nervous. After all, she was only out to take something. Nonetheless, she still answered, “D- Doctor Brown and the other doctors are still trying their best to rescue her.”

Ivan hurriedly persuaded, “Mr. Marwood, Ms. Vallois is still undergoing surgery inside...”

Ivan also hinted at the nurse to leave.

The nurse was so frightened that she left in a flash.

The veins on his forehead were showing and twisted.

Outside the operating room, Anthony waited from day until the night. The corridor was as quiet as dead silence, and the atmosphere was solemn.

It was not until midnight that the lights above the operating room were turned off. Just as Kathryn came out of the door, Anthony had already arrived in front of her, asking, “What's the situation?” “Fortunately, you brought her in just in time. "Don’t worry. It's not as serious as her father's. However, as it's still a head injury and she’s still in recovery, I can't give the exact time of when she'll wake up,” Kathryn answered, “this is already a blessing. At least her life is saved.”

“Thank you for your hard work.” Anthony's face turned cold.

Kathryn was surprised as Anthony had never said such kind words. It seemed that Anne's accident affected him greatly.

Moreover, the operation took nearly ten hours, and the blood on Anthony's hand was still there, which showed that he had not left the operating room door for a moment.

Anne was transferred to a private ward, and Anthony stood by the bed.

Anne lay unconscious on the bed. The nurses had removed her bloody clothes and changed her into a hospital gown.

Her little face was pale, with a thick bandage wrapped around her forehead, and she even had a nasal cannula in her nose.

Anthony wanted to touch her face, but he stopped because his hands were still bloody.

“As I said, you'll be fine.” Anthony's voice was hoarse.

Anne was still under observation for the night, so her family members could not stay by her side for a long time to avoid any emergencies.

Anthony sat on the bench in the corridor, sitting casually, with blood still on his hands.

After sitting for nearly an hour; he noticed it was almost dawn.

Ivan had no choice but to step forward and say, “Mr. Marwood, why don't you go back and clean yourself? You can't accompany Ms. Vallois like this.”

Anthony glanced at his hands and his messy clothes.

He did not say anything but just got up and left the hospital.
