Chapter 885

Bianca was stunned by his words. As the car drove off to the distance, her emotions finally spiraled out of control and tears scrolled down her cheeks.

“Hey, isn't that a famous pianist? Why is she standing outside the door?”

“She looks so depressed...”

Sensing all the eyes on her and that someone was recording her with their phones, she frantically turned and went inside the restaurant, before returning to her seat.

The restaurant maintained a good level of privacy, so she knew no one would bother her.

Her body shook like a leaf as she struggled to control herself.

“Why is Anthony calling off our engagement? Why?* She thought. “What I've been worrying about is finally happening. Why would he do that to me? I might have done something wrong, but Anthony has never thought about calling it off before. Why now..." Anne's face appeared in her head. “That's right. It's definitely because

Anne is pregnant. It's all her fault! It's fine, though. She will be dead soon and with her and her unborn child out of the equation, Anthony won't call our engagement off..."

The maid who secretly worked for Bianca was called Mia.

Mia called one of the maids who worked in Sarah's mansion, Fiona, to go shopping at night, and Fiona agreed.

Fiona went to Mia at night and the two took a stroll at a night market outside. As they walked past a store that sold perfume, Mia asked, “Is working in that mansion better than working in the Royal Mansion?”

“Duh! There are so many chores in the Royal Mansion. In this mansion, we don't have to do much apart from keeping an eye on Ms. Vallois.”

“Is her belly showing yet?”

“No. She's just a little over a month in! She looks really depressed, though. I just can't wrap my head around it. It's such a blessing for someone to be pregnant with Mr. Marwood’s baby,” Fiona said. “She had triplets before, and now she’s pregnant again. She sure is lucky, unlike us who can only be servants to them,” Mia complained.

“Oh, well. What else can we do? Mr. Marwood is not someone we can dream of being with.” Though Fiona did not dare to dream of altering her fate in her wildest dream, Mia was different.

“By the way, is she getting morning sickness?” Mia asked.

"You are right. We need to be really careful with the food we serve her. One thing goes wrong and she will vomit. It's terrifying to watch. After that, Mr. Marwood would get so angry that we wouldn't even dare to breathe,” Fiona said.

Mia took out a small flask from her purse and said, “Just add a little of this into her food and she will get better.”

Fiona accepted it with confusion. “What is this?”

“A formula passed down in my family. My mom took the same thing when she was pregnant so Ms. Vallois is definitely going to get better.”

“Is this that effective?”

"You look so troubled and I just wanted to help you!” Mia said. “Don't tell anyone about this. Wait until it starts to work before claiming credits for yourself, or Mr. Marwood would never agree to use this.”

“I'm supposed to keep it a secret? But Mr. Marwood said that everything that goes into Ms. Vallois's mouth needs to be documented.”

“Do you want a raise or not?”

"Of course, I do.”

“There you go, then. If Ms. Vallois gets better, Mr.Marwood might just reward you,” Mia said.

In the afternoon the next day, Anthony left to work and

Anne sat on the massage chair to rest.

A meter away stood a maid who followed Anne anywhere she went, even when she wanted to use the bathroom, the maid would stand outside the door and keep check of the time.

Anne felt like she was suffocating and was tortured by the urge to get rid of her child before the embryo was fully developed

Fiona walked out of the kitchen with a plate in her hand and walked toward Anne. “Ms. Vallois, have some stew.”

“I don't have any appetite.”

“Mr. Marwood said to watch you eat.”

Anne glanced at the maid and knew that if Anthony had ordered the maid to do so and the maid failed to accomplish her mission, she would be punished.
