Chapter 989 Received Many Gifts

"Evie, I'm so glad to see you," Brandon said in a deep voice, looking very dignified.

"Nice to meet you, too." Evie greeted with a smile.

Brandon nodded. He took something from the table, walked up to Evie, and handed it to her.

Evie was very confused.

It was a check!

She looked at the check again and found it was a big number!

"Brandon..." Evie was a little dazed. "Aron and I have already married. Please take back the check. I won't divorce him."

Brandon was stunned. "What divorce? Who said you're going to divorce?"

"Mrs. Timberlake, this is a gift from my father." Aron stood behind Evie and stroked her head.

Evie didn't know what she was talking about before.

She knew she couldn't watch so many dramas!

Feeling so embarrassed, she really wanted to dig a hole and disappear!

But she was still surprised that Brandon gave her a check worth tens of millions of dollars as a gift.

"Don't worry. No one in my family will write you a check to let you leave me." Aron smiled and took the check for Evie. After looking at the number, he was quite satisfied. "Thank you, Dad."

Evie came back to her senses.

She quickly echoed, "Thank you!"

Brandon nodded and wondered if he was too serious.

But he didn't want to lose his manner as they met Evie for the first time.

Adela was too enthusiastic and didn't look like a parent at all!

Evie was wearing a blank expression during the process of meeting Aron's relatives.

When she greeted Aron's brothers and sisters-in-law, they gave her a check one by one.

And Aron's two grandaunts each gave her a necklace.

Both of them were quite expensive.

After Evie finally saw all of Aron's relatives, he took her to his room.

As soon as the door closed, Evie slumped on the sofa.

"Are you tired?" Aron sat beside her and messaged her shoulder.

Evie shook her head.

She looked at Aron. "Do you always praise me in front of them? Every one of them treats me so well. They are so nice."

They were completely different from the relatives she had met before.

"Not really." Aron bent one leg, turned sideways, leaned his elbow on the edge of the sofa, and looked at Evie with a smile. "I don't communicate much with my family. They like you because you're a very good girl."

"Do they know about my family and past?" Evie asked in a low voice.

In fact, most people had the same worries as Evie.

They didn't care about everything as they had nothing.

When they suddenly had happiness or wealth, they began to think wildly and worry about losing them.

Sometimes, they were even afraid they would pay the price for a mistake they made in childhood.

"Yes... I know it's a little rude, but they will definitely check your background when they know we're married," Aron said helplessly, "As for your past, are you mean your previous relationship with Caspian?"

"Yes."

Evie lowered her eyes and let out a sigh.

She was worried her last relationship with Caspian would be a scandal in such a wealthy family.

Unexpectedly, Aron burst into laughter. "You don't have to worry about this. Almost every woman in our family has abundant of love experiences. Did you know that my mom was famous for having many relationships in Dambridge before she married my dad?"

"And my grandaunt, Wren. She fell in love with a reporter and ran away with him against the wishes of the family. Later when she found out the reporter was a traitor, she shot him and went home. "When Grandaunt was almost fifty, she fell in love with a man twenty years younger than her and married him, which caused a sensation at that time."

"What happened next?" Evie didn't see a man beside her Wren.
