Chapter 905 You're Being Unreasonable!

Sitting in the front passenger seat, Logan complained,

"I thought the two of you would have to talk to each other until noon."

Mia got into the car and said to Logan seriously, "Uncle, such an insensitive man like you will never find a girlfriend! You are wasting your good-looking face!"

Logan and Athena all looked at Mia in astonishment.

"Who taught you to say that? Was it Evie?" Logan asked.

"The old lady at the barbecue shop taught me. It means you can't make good use of your appearance!" When Mia explained, she was proud.

Logan was speechless.

"Did Evie and Aron take you to eat barbecue?" Athena asked slowly.

Aiden was helpless.

Mia laughed awkwardly.

It was over.

She had promised Evie that day.

She would never tell Athena about this.

Crying in her heart, Mia was sorry for Evie.

Evie didn't know that she was betrayed by Mia and hummed to the company.

The current place of Evie's company is a rented office.

All aspects had only recently been ready, and it had just started to operate.

Because a lot of unpleasant things happened to her during that time, there was no opening ceremony.

Evie planned to prepare another grand ceremony when the building was completed.

She came here many times.

Everyone at the front desk on the first floor of the office building knew her.

Seeing her coming in, they hurriedly greeted her.

Evie also responded politely, but before she could walk to the turnstile to the elevator, the receptionist ran out.

"Ms. Cross, someone is waiting for you over there." When she spoke, her expression was somewhat... Was it sympathetic? Evie followed her gaze.

She saw a lot of people sitting in the lounge area of the lobby.

"Evie!"

Before Evie could recover, a familiar voice sounded from the people over there.

Then, Evie saw the haggard Jane get up and run towards her.

At that moment, Evie's smile froze.

When Jane came in front of her, Evie came back to her senses. "Why are you here? No. What are you doing here?"

"I'm your mother. Can't I come to your company to look for you?" Jane's eyes were red. "I never expected that after all the hardships I went through to raise you, you would turn out like this. Do you even ignore my life and well-being?"

The receptionist looked a little embarrassed.

But she didn't move, as if she wanted to gossip.

Evie sneered, very speechless, "Let's not even talk about how you raised me. Did I ignore your life? According to the transfer records, the money I've given you amounts to tens of millions of dollars. The villa you currently live in and the Hermès handbag you're holding right now, aren't they all bought by me? Did I not care about your well-being? Mom, you're being unreasonable!"

Jane's face froze, then she stared at Evie, weeping, and asked, "Well, are you going to settle accounts with your own mother now?"

"First of all, we have severed the relationship between mother and daughter. Secondly, yes, I do want to settle accounts with you. Do you dare to settle accounts with me?" Evie asked word by word. She never thought of it.

Jane would come downstairs to her company!

Evie immediately thought of those parents who would go to their children's workplaces to cause trouble because they couldn't get money from their children.

She never expected Jane to be such a parent.

"Mrs. Hansen, have you and your daughter reached an agreement? When will you settle the outstanding payment for the construction projects you owe us?" At that moment, the group of people sitting in the lounge area stood up and walked towards them.

It seemed that many of them were ruffians.

Evie glanced at them, and her gaze finally fell on Jane's face. "So, it's not about alimony at all. Are you trying to trick me into Brian's company and force me to pay these people?"
