Chapter 798 Bear With It

Aiden was a rational child.

Sometimes when she was feeling down, she needed Aiden to comfort her.

"Can Mia do it?" Aron asked after thinking for a moment.

Evie froze and patted her forehead. "Right. I'll leave it to Mia."

"What are you doing? Your forehead is red from the slap. Why did you hit yourself so hard?" Aron pulled Evie's hand away. Her skin was fair, and the slap had left a red mark on her forehead. Martin led his men to keep everyone who had appeared at the cemetery under watch.

Forrest, who had taken care of the funeral, was confused. "Aren't you Byron's bodyguard? Why did you come to my house instead of protecting him?"

"Yeah. I read the news about the attack. So why aren't you protecting him?" The boy standing next to Forrest showed the news to Martin.

Martin remained unfazed.

"I'm sorry, sir. We need to find out who among the mourners had contact with Shelia. Before we can draw any conclusions, anyone can be a suspect."

As he spoke, he scanned the faces of everyone in the compound.

He tried to detect any abnormal behavior.

However, everyone's expressions were similar. They were shocked by the news.

"Who is Shelia? I've never heard of her. I have to go to Malaysia tonight to check on some raw materials. I have made an appointment. It can't be delayed!" shouted a woman.

"Man, I don't know Shelia either. Here, you can check my phone's address book!" A middle-aged man spoke and was about to hand his phone to Martin.

Martin simply placed his hands behind his back. "You don't need to give us your phones. We have our methods to find out who is in contact with Shelia."

"You can't treat us like this!" he protested.

"Yeah. We're Byron's relatives too!" another echoed.

"Enough!" Forrest growled.

His tone was dignified, and the noisy crowd immediately fell silent.

"Shelia is the lunatic in the video you just showed me," Forrest said in a deep voice.

Everyone was in an uproar.

Martin looked at Forrest suspiciously, and Forrest seemed to understand his doubts. "After the chemical plant accident, the chairman entrusted me with the task of handling the victims. Shelia's situation was quite special, and she left me a deep impression."

"Yes. The lunatic who attacked Mr. Crawford was Shelia," Martin confirmed in a loud voice. "Since you know her, do you know that Shelia is so insane that she couldn't have planned everything herself? She found Madam Crawford's tomb and ambushed Mr. Crawford's daughter at the hotel where he was staying. There must be someone behind her, pulling the strings. And that person must be among you guys." Martin exuded an imposing air.

His eagle's eyes glanced at everyone's faces.

There was a moment of silence among the crowd.

Then, they collectively erupted in denial.

"Twenty years ago, I was just a kid. I didn't even know who Shelia was, let alone anything about the chemical plant!" one person exclaimed.

"That's right!" another person chimed in.

The crowd chattered non-stop.

Soon, someone discovered something shocking.

"Why can't I send messages from my phone?"

"Me neither! And I can't get online!" another said.
