Chapter 790 Found His Car

Rose looked at Byron sharply and asked, "Did Athena know you took Mia out for ice cream?"

"Mommy asked him to bring me here," Mia said in a hurry. "Madam Stella, I got caught in the rain today and had a fever. So Mommy asked Dad to take me out for ice cream?"

"You got a fever?" Rose became anxious. "How are you doing now? Have you taken any medication?"

"Yeah, I took some medication. But I am still burning up a little, and it will go away after eating the ice cream!" Mia said confidently.

The air after the rain was a little humid.

Holding his phone, Byron listened to Mia and Rose's childish conversation and felt like his mood boosted up a bit.

After they chatted for more than ten minutes, someone knocked on Rose's door and came in.

"I have to hang up now, sweetie. If you miss me again, just tell your parents to call me, OK?" Rose said apologetically.

She looked at the person who came in and asked, "How is it? Can't you find Jaxson yet?"

"We found the car," the man answered with a sullen face.

"What do you mean you found the car?" Rose frowned.

"Jaxson's car is at the bottom of the cliff. Only half of the car left and is badly damaged. The rest has been washed away by the waves."

"A cliff?"

Rose stood up abruptly.

The man's eyes were red, and he lowered his head in pain. "Madam Stella, Jaxson might..."

"No! That's impossible!" Rose slammed the table. "Find him, dead or alive! Find him at any cost!"

"OK, we will! But you have to take care of yourself, Madam Stella. Don't be angry!"

"Go find him!" Rose patted the table again.

The man immediately turned around and walked out.

After he left, Rose suddenly felt dizzy and fell on the chair.

The night before yesterday, Jaxson went out to investigate and found some important evidence. He had called Rose and said that he would be back soon. Jaxson disappeared after that phone call.

Rose felt a stab of pain in her heart as she thought of the cliff and his destroyed car.

She forced herself to calm down.

She opened WhatsApp and found Jaxson.

The last thing Jaxson had sent was a voice message. She clicked on it, and Jaxson's stern voice rang through the room. "Madam Stella, it was not an accident." After sending this message, he called her.

Jaxson was raised by Rose since he was a child. Though they were not related by blood, they were more like mother and son than anyone else.

For more than 30 years, she had taken Jaxson with her wherever she went.

Jaxson was always cautious. The car would not jump off the cliff for no reason. Someone must have done something to his car.
