Chapter 706 Ingratiating

Byron was taken aback.

Aiden was much more mature than he had imagined.

"Then let's choose what's in your and Mia's room, shall we?"

"Hmm." Aiden nodded.

"Good night then."

"Good night."

Byron touched Aiden's head and then went out quietly.

Looking at the closed door, Aiden touched his forehead again.

Did he forget to kiss goodnight?

Aiden shook his head again.

Byron was still an inexperienced dad.

Byron left the children's room and let out a long breath.

At this time, everyone in Athena's house must have gone to bed, and those who were not asleep were in their respective rooms, enjoying themselves alone. Byron went downstairs.

Alice was about to get off work. "Is Mr. Crawford going back?"

Byron looked at the time. "I have to wait."

"Then I'm off work. Good night." After finishing speaking, Alice ran away.

Byron walked to the sofa and sat down.

He didn't work throughout the day, so he checked his mailbox at this moment.

Agents rushed out.

He read one by one and replied methodically.

Every once in a while, he would look up at the clock.

Athena had accumulated too much work.

It was almost one o'clock when she finished work and came back home.

She was so tired that she could fall asleep leaning on the elevator.

In the living room, she walked out of the elevator with her high heels. She was about to go upstairs when she turned her gaze and saw a figure curled up on the sofa. She walked over.

Not surprisingly, she saw Byron's half-face hidden in the darkness.

Athena had to admit that although Byron was despicable, he was so handsome.

If he hadn't been handsome, she wouldn't have been obsessed with him in those years.

"Wake up."

Athena squatted down and patted Byron's shoulder lightly.

He frowned and slowly opened his eyes.

It seemed that he was exhausted from looking after kids, and now when he opened his eyes, his eyes were red.

He stared at Athena for a few seconds and then came back to his senses. "What time is it?"

"One o'clock." Athena replied, "Why didn't you go back to sleep?"

Byron buried his head in his arms. The sofa was a little soft, so his body ached from sleeping. "I wanted to wait for you to get off work, but I fell asleep unconsciously." Athena smiled softly, "Are you tired of taking care of the children?"

Byron looked up at Athena with a lazy and helpless expression. "Tired but very happy."

There was no sense of aggression in his eyes when he just woke up. Instead, he looked ingratiating. His wet eyes also looked like a poor stray puppy.

Athena was startled by her idea as she saw the shadow of a stray puppy on Byron again.

"Do you want to go back?" Athena asked.

"Can I not go back?" Byron asked, and his voice was a bit ingratiating with grievance.

Athena was not used to it.

She thought it was her illusion.

What was he wronged about?

"There is still a guest room here for you." Athena pointed to the room next to the study on the first floor. "The bed is made up every other day. Go to sleep." After speaking, Athena was about to stand up.

Byron suddenly grabbed her wrist.

Athena was slightly taken aback.

"Talk to me more." Byron looked at her, and his eyes misted over. "Mia and Aiden both like my house, but if you don't want to move, I can move here too."
