Chapter 1717 Long Time No See!

"Well!"

Evie nodded.

Aron followed the steward.

Athena looked at Aron's expression and guessed in her heart that Emily's relatives might not be good people.

In the hallway.

Several elegantly dressed people were talking.

Two women, one in her early twenties and the other in her forties or fifties were both luxurious.

Two men, one in his fifties or sixties and the other in his early twenties.

"Why did we have to wait here for so long? Isn't the Timberlake family known for their attention to etiquette?" The young man was impatient.

The older woman was also impatient. "Just be patient. You came back this time to ask your brother-in-law to resolve your job issue. Control your temper!" The man reluctantly grunted.

The young woman was touching up her makeup in front of the mirror.

She had an air of not allowing a single flaw on her face.

"Aron!"

Suddenly, Roland shouted.

Beatrice immediately looked up.

In front of them, a tall and handsome man in casual clothes stepped over the threshold and walked toward them.

Beatrice, watching him, felt her heart jump quickly.

After all these years, she finally saw Aron again.

Compared to when Emily married, Aron had grown up to become a charming man.

"Oh! Aron!"

Daphne called out affectionately to Aron.

The steward followed behind Aron and introduced them, sweating profusely. The person talking was Emily's stepmother.

"Aron, long time no see!" Beatrice, in fact, was five days younger than Aron and spoke with a sweet voice.

"Hello, everyone." Aron's expression remained indifferent. "How can I help you?"

"We came to see Emily!" Daphne replied, "Also, we haven't received your wedding invitation, and we heard that your wife is about to give birth, so we wanted to see if there's anything we can help with!" "Thank you." Aron's tone was still cold. "Does Emily know that you're here?"

"We wanted to give Emily a surprise, so we didn't say it! Is she at home now?" Daphne asked.

"Emily took the child abroad to see an exhibition," Aron replied.

"That's unfortunate!" Although Daphne said this, there was not a trace of regret on her face, as if she already knew that Emily wasn't there. "It's alright. We planned to stay for a few more days anyway and wait for her to come back!"

"Aron, I brought you a gift!" Beatrice immediately took out a small box from her bag and opened it, revealing an antique diamond cufflink. "I heard from my sister that you like these old items. I saw it in a jewelry store while on vacation in abroad, and I thought it would be suitable for you, so I bought it!"

"No need for gifts." Aron politely declined, then said to the steward, "Arrange for them to stay in the north wing."

The north wing of the Timberlake family was not a place where the hosts lived.

Normally, it was for receiving unfamiliar guests.

"Aron, can't we stay with my sister?" Beatrice took a step forward, acting spoiled, and reached out to grab Aron's sleeve.

"Aron, what are you doing here instead of accompanying my precious daughter-in-law in her room?"
