My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 1441
Chapter 1441 The Irreparable Pain
There were fuzzy shadows of figures.
The light was messy. Normally, Byron couldn't see her appearance.
But for some reason, he knew she was crying.
His heart skipped a beat. "Why are you crying? Is that man not nice to you?"
With this in mind, his footsteps were uncontrollable. He wanted to go to Athena's side.
Zora took the food and returned to the second floor of the hotel, intending to give it to Byron.
Unexpectedly, she didn't see him in the room when she opened the door.
She panicked. The first thought in her mind was that Alan had gone to find that woman!
She immediately ran downstairs and rushed out of the house.
She looked around the crowd and immediately saw Byron standing in the darkness and looking toward the fire.
She subconsciously looked in the direction of his gaze.
She saw Athena praying and throwing the flowers into the fire under the guidance of Stacey.
Zora's jealousy and panic reached their peak at this moment.
She looked at Byron and saw him stepping out of the darkness as if approaching Athena.
Her scalp tingled for a while. She immediately ran towards Byron.
At this time, several children were playing and running. One of them bumped into Byron's leg.
With a muffled grunt, he lost his balance and fell to the ground.
"Alan!" Zora exclaimed and ran to him quickly, reaching out to help him.
Athena probably heard Zora's scream. She turned her head and looked in this direction.
The children surrounded Byron, worrying that they would cause trouble.
Athena only looked at the crowd for a moment, then Stacey's words drew her attention back.
"You are much more friendly than we imagined," Stacey said cheerfully, "It's a pity that I didn't see your children this time! When you leave here later, please help me bring them the gifts I prepared!" "Why do you want to see my children?" Athena was a little puzzled.
"Thanks to her. If it weren't for your daughter's righteous words, how could we get so much money to settle in a big city?" Stacey said.
Athena didn't know what was going on.
"Did my daughter help you?"
"Yeah. We met the boss who was in charge of dealing with us before in Sinclair City again. He told us that when Mr. Crawford approved our compensation, it was not so much. Your daughter asked him that is the money given enough for us to live a good life. So Mr. Crawford gave us so much money!"
When Stacey mentioned Byron, her smile gradually faded. She observed Athena's expression, fearing that she would touch this gentle and friendly woman's sore spot.
"Is it?" Athena smiled, "My daughter and husband haven't told me about it."
Stacey breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Athena didn't react much. She became more courageous and sighed, "People all said Mr. Crawford is a cruel capitalist, but I think he is a good person." No one knew how much Athena wished someone could talk to her more about Byron.
But everyone seemed to believe that Byron was an irreparable pain in her heart, which could be mentioned or discussed.
"Why do you think he's a good person?" Athena asked.
