My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 1270
Chapter 1270 I Can't Live Without Him
After urging him to return to the ward to rest, Annie endured the pain in her lower abdomen, holding the pen and strolling to the window. Watching the heavy rain outside the window.
Annie stared at the pen in her hand, lost in thought.
In her memory.
The voice of a young child echoed.
"Sis, this is the lucky pen I bought for you!"
"Where did you get the money?"
"After saving my pin money for two years, am I impressive?
"I hope good luck will always be with you!
"I love you the most!
"I can't live without him. I can't live without him. I really can't live..."
Gradually stopped recalling.
Annie gripped the pen tightly.
The rain gradually turned into a mix of rain and snow.
Mia and Aiden sat side by side in front of the large glass window in the living room, looking at the lawn and distant woodland orchard shrouded in rain and mist. "Luckily, I went out to play with Herbert this morning, or we couldn't have played in the rain," Mia said.
Aiden nodded and continued working on physics questions on the iPad.
Aiden would attend the physics competition next week.
Jaxson always lived in warm places, so he was particularly unadapted to cold weather.
Even if the floor heating at home was already on.
Jaxson wrapped himself up like a big bear, carried a small stool over, and sat beside Mia, crouched into a bundle which made him look listless.
Mia looked at Jaxson, thought for a while, and asked, "Jaxson, can't you change to an adult's stool? The stool can't be seen when you sit down!"
"There is no small stool for adults at home." Jaxson said, pulling a woodworking guide from his pocket, "When the weather is good, I will buy some wood and make one!"
"Cool!"
Mia gave Jaxson a thumbs-up and then looked out the window again.
Some questions popped up in Mia's mind intermittently.
For example, "Will the grass on the lawn freeze to death with such cold weather?
Will the vegetables in the vegetable garden freeze to death?
Are the bunny family alright?
Alfred said the lake would freeze in a few days, so what about the fat koi fish inside?"
"Mia sat there and glazed over as she pondered, completely lost in thought."
Aiden and Jaxson seemed to be used to it.
They all looked at her, then carried on with their own things.
When Athena returned, she saw a scene of people sitting in rows.
Mia stood up immediately, as if she had been unblocked suddenly, and ran to Athena happily and yelled, "Mommy!"
Athena hugged her up.
Mia had overgrown in the past six months.
It was somewhat hard for Athena to pick Mia up.
"Honey, your father isn't pleased today." Athena pressed against Mia's ear and whispered, "Would you like to cheer him up?" Mia's big eyes flickered for a moment.
Leaning close to Athena, Mia thought it was a whisper but asked loudly, "Why is Dad unhappy? Has anyone bullied him?" Byron heard it clearly.
Athena couldn't hold back and laughed.
"Honey, are you too loud for whispering?"
Mia blinked her eyes, looking puzzled.
Then Mia looked at Byron and asked, "The teacher said that I have to finish the classes for next semester during the vacation. I haven't found a tutor yet. Could you teach me?" Byron nodded. "Sure."
"Then let's start now!" Mia said merrily.
Mia got off Athena, showing great enthusiasm.
After Byron and Mia left.
Athena walked and sat in Mia's seat.
Sitting for a while.
Athena recalled the amazement she felt upon first encountering Heather.
Athena didn't understand.
Heather was born into a distinguished and prominent family. The kind that many people could never achieve in their lifetime.
Why did it end up that way, giving up her bright future for a man?
