Chapter 1235 Wedding Plans

In the past half year, both the Crawford family and the Stella family had been through quite a lot.

The already fragile Stella family was hit hard. Someone passed away while someone went mad.

Aiden was diagnosed with leukemia.

George also left her.

They were in need of something joyful.

"Really?" Byron released his hold on Athena and asked excitedly.

Athena felt a little dazed by his reaction. "Why are you so surprised? We're married, so of course, we'll have a wedding."

It seemed like Byron had just breathed a sigh of relief. "I've wanted to hold a wedding for a long time, but you never mentioned it, so I thought..."

"You thought what?" Athena was waiting for his following words.

"I thought you didn't want to," Byron said with his eyes red, looking aggrieved.

When Athena was still his secretary, she would never have believed that he could be so vulnerable.

"In fact, I thought about it a long time ago." Athena gently touched Byron's cheek.

Once, Byron attended a wedding as a groomsman amidst his busy schedule. There was an urgent document at the company that required Byron's signature. At that time, electronic signing technology had not been as advanced as it was now. So Athena took a taxi and rushed to the wedding venue to find Byron for his signature.

It was an outdoor wedding.

When Athena arrived, Byron, along with several others, including Gideon, was wearing white suits with flowers on their chests, standing elegantly among the blooming flowers. She couldn't help but be enchanted by Byron's appearance.

Later that night, Byron came to her apartment and left shortly after.

However, Athena was tired and found it hard to fall asleep.

She had a brief nap near dawn and dreamed of that wedding.

But in her dream, Byron was the groom, and the bride, wearing a pristine white gown, looked just like her.

She was momentarily at a loss as she woke up, wondering whether the bride was her or Freya.

As Athena casually recounted the past, Byron's heart ached.

"Sweetheart, what kind of wedding did you want back then?" he asked tenderly.

Athena thought for a moment and helplessly smiled. "It's been so long. I can't remember... but probably something with lots of romantic and dreamy elements."

"It would be even better on a private island," Byron embraced her waist and added.

"Exactly! Girard City is too cold these days. The temperature keeps dropping, and I feel like my bones are freezing." Athena nodded in agreement. "Let's go to an island. We need to count how many people are coming and charter a big plane. Oh, and we need to book a hotel too."

"I remember you are in a good relationship with those from the general manager's office. You can invite all of them." Byron paused and then continued, "Even though they were the first ones to speak ill of me online."

Athena burst into laughter at once.

Seeing her so joyful made all the lingering worries in Byron's heart dissipate.

All the insecurity also disappeared into thin air.

"Now everyone knows I'm your one and only, so they should have changed their minds about you, right?" Athena said.

Byron shrugged nonchalantly. "Never mind. I don't care what they think of me."

"Mr. Crawford, how magnanimous you are!" Athena praised him and then yawned. "Let's talk more about the wedding plans tomorrow. I'm so tired today. Good night..." Byron kissed her cheek.

"Good night!"
