Chapter 1185 We Won't Meet Again!

Josh and Alison looked at each other.

It was true.

Compared with money, they didn't feel reluctant to transfer the ownership of the house to Paul.

"Yes. You can't have the cake and eat it too. If we can handle Paul sooner, we can live a rich life sooner!" Alison made a final decision. "Let's change the ownership of the house and transfer the money to Paul tomorrow morning. In the afternoon, we'll go to the wealthy family and ask for a house," Alison continued.

"In addition to the house, let's ask for another five million dollars in cash?" Josh said, thinking for a while. "We can't ask for too much because that would show how greedy we are. We'll only demand a house and money!"

"That's right. The death compensation of Paul's parents is only one million dollars. If that rich family gives us five million dollars, we still earn a lot of money!" Olivia said excitedly.

They would have five million dollars and live in a fancy apartment.

They would have a bright future.

Their faces lit up. They didn't even feel reluctant to return Paul's parents' death compensation.

Josh knocked on Paul's door in person.

He told Paul he agreed.

Paul acted as usual and closed the door.

Josh was enraged and scolded him again.

They had no idea what was going on.

After Paul closed the door,

he took out a very old mobile phone from his schoolbag, switched it on, and dialed a number.

Early the next morning,

his uncle, aunt, and cousin were more anxious than Paul.

Paul was eating breakfast unhurriedly.

"Hurry up!" Josh urged impatiently. "Stop dawdling! You're just like your father!"

However, Paul ignored him.

After breakfast, he used the landline at home to call the head teacher and ask for leave.

After that, he went out with Josh, Alison, and Olivia.

They went to a nearby bank first.

Josh transferred the death compensation of Paul's parents to Paul.

"I've transferred you 840,000 dollars. This is an IOU of 230,000 dollars," Alison said, handing the IOU to Paul.

Paul took a look.

He found that there was something fishy about the IOU because it was vaguely written.

"Write a new copy of my mother's IOU," Paul said, looking up at Josh coldly.

Josh was stunned.

"A new copy..."

"Write a new copy of my mother's IOU," Paul repeated.

"Write him a new one!" Alison tugged at him, signaling for him not to dawdle.

She mentioned it this morning.

Paul was so shrewd that it was useless to try to fool him.

Josh took a deep breath.

He requested a blank piece of paper from the bank, wrote a new IOU copy per Paul's request, and stamped it.

Paul took the IOU this time.

They then went to the law firm to change the house's ownership.

When they came out,

the sun dispersed its beams.

Paul glanced at his uncle, aunt, and cousin who were overjoyed.

In fact, his mother looked pretty much like Josh.

Paul had no impression of his mother.

In his memory, she was either going insane or hospitalized.

But he still remembered that she hid him in the closer in a panic before Josh took her away. "Paul, don't come out no matter what you hear. Be good and wait for me to come back!" However, she never came back home.

"Brat, what are you looking at?" Josh asked. He was in a good mood.

He just contacted that rich family, who invited them to view the property and arranged someone to receive them.

"Because we won't be meeting again, I stared at you guys for a little longer," Paul explained.
