My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 1183
Chapter 1183 Cut the Chase!
The school was already over.
Alison waited for Paul at the school gate. The kind smile on her face gradually disappeared.
She waited for almost an hour. There was no sign of Paul.
She even wondered if Paul skipped school today or left through the back door.
At that moment, she saw Paul walking out with the dean.
"Paul!"
Alison hurried over.
When the dean saw Alison, he darkened his face.
Paul won the physics competition and received a monetary award as a prize, and he just handed it over to Paul.
"Paul, don't give her the money!" the dean said, lowering his voice.
"Mmm," Paul replied.
Alison had already run in front of them.
"What are you doing here?" the dean asked grumpily.
"I'm here to pick up Paul for dinner. What else can I do?" Alison answered, frowning.
"Are you so kind?" The dean asked suspiciously.
"How strange you are! We're a united and affectionate family. Do you have a problem with that?" Alison said impolitely, her hands on her hips.
Seeing this, Paul turned to the dean. "Don't worry. I won't give her the money. Please go back."
The dean was rendered speechless.
Why did Paul mention money in front of his aunt?
"Please feel free to call me if you need any help!" the dean reminded him.
He glanced at Alison, let out a snort, and turned to leave.
"Paul, what money?" Alison asked with a smirk.
Paul ignored her and walked straight towards home.
Alison gritted her teeth and followed him all the way home. "Paul, I know that you and your uncle have been on bad terms in the past two years, but we're a family anyway. Your uncle has spent the entire night reflecting on himself, and he has realized his mistakes. Therefore, we specially prepared your favorite food for dinner to apologize to you!"
Paul remained silent.
He went straight home.
The door was wide open, the aroma of food wafting through the air.
Probably Olivia had been waiting for too long and grew impatient. When Paul arrived at the door, he heard her groaning. "Why haven't Mom and that brat come back yet? I'm starving to death!" "Damn girl, how dare you!" When Alison heard about it, she immediately went in and scolded her daughter.
Olivia was taken aback for a moment and quickly changed her attitude.
"Paul, you're home," she said, turning to Paul.
Paul still ignored them.
He put down his schoolbag and took the main seat at the dining table.
He put some rice into his bowl and began to eat.
Josh had a smile on his face before darkening it.
However, Alison still kept her cool.
She sat opposite Paul with a smile. "Try the chicken leg! Eat more!"
Paul finally gave her a glance. "Just cut the chase!"
Alison widened her grin. "Paul, you're the smartest in our family. Let me get this straight. Did you save a little girl yesterday?"
"Mmm," Paul replied.
"Her parents found us and wanted to give us a sum of money to express their gratitude," Alison lied.
Paul frowned. "Did they come to you? I told them that I didn't want any money from them. Why did they come to you?"
"Damn you, brat! Do you know how much money it is? How dare you refuse them!" Josh roared.
Alison kicked her husband under the table and then said to Paul, "Paul, just hear me out. Don't you want to have your parents' house? How about this? We'll accept the sum of money to write off your parents' debt, so you can get the house back."
