Chapter 1016 Missing

"While talking to Logan on the phone, they want to trace my mom's phone signal and locate the IP address where it last appeared," Evie's voice was still trembling.

"Um," Aron held her hand tightly. "Are you hungry?"

Evie shook her head.

At this time, a flash of lightning pierced through the night sky, followed by a loud sound that seemed to tear the sky and the earth apart.

Evie trembled violently.

"My mom was most afraid of thunder and lightning."

"Aron, I should go to hell. She sent me a message before she went missing, and I thought she was trying to deceive me, so I didn't read it. If something happens to her, I..."

"You shouldn't think like that."

Aron frowned slightly.

Evie looked at him and felt terrified.

Aron sat beside her and hugged her.

He comforted her gently.

After a while, a few people rushed in from outside.

"We are Jane's family members. Has she gone missing?"

Then a familiar voice sounded.

Evie looked up from Aron's arms and saw Brian standing in the middle of the police station.

Behind him were his lawyer son, Greg, and Caspian, as well as Dahlia behind Caspian.

All were well-dressed as if they had come from some momentous occasion.

"Brian," Evie called out to him coldly.

Those people looked over at her immediately.

When Caspian saw her, he was about to walk up to her.

But Dahlia held him back by taking hold of his arm.

"Evie, didn't your mom go to look for you? Why did she go missing?" Brian strode over. "Today is Caspian's engagement banquet, and I left my phone in the hotel, so I didn't answer your call!" "She didn't come to me at all!" Evie replied word by word.

How could this be?

"By the way, when she left that day, she was with a few men. Could it be..."

"Mr. Hansen, are you talking about the people Jane took to catch the affair?" A clear and domineering voice sounded from behind them.

The people from the Hansen family subconsciously looked back and saw Athena, who had just returned from the phone call.

"Oh, it's Ms. Stella," Brian forced a smile.

"You don't need to be so quick to suspect the men with Jane. They are all on their way here to give their statements. They even brought the videos from that day. Instead of trying to shift blame, you should be more concerned about how you will explain your suspicion during the questioning later."

"Ms. Stella, this is our family's affair," Greg noticed that Athena didn't even bother to look at them, and her face was dark like the bottom of a pot.

"Evie and you are not from the same family, stop flattering yourselves," Athena interrupted impatiently.

She then looked at Caspian and Dahlia beside him.

"What a coincidence that you're engaged today. Congratulations."

"It has been a while, Ms. Stella," Your lawyer is really capable. Have you received the compensation from my grandma?

Last month, when Athena was overseas, the matter of the old lady of the Murray family beating Ada had come to fruition. The Murray family lost the lawsuit.

They also had to compensate a sum of money.

"Did you ask the wrong person?" Athena glanced at her. "The accuser is over there."

She raised her chin at Evie.

"The accuser doesn't want to talk to them either," Aron said coldly.

The people from the Hansen family had unpleasant expressions, each one worse than the other.

It was the first time Caspian saw Aron after Caspian almost strangled Evie to death.

He hated Aron but felt guilty simultaneously, so he dared not look at him.

The team that followed Jane to catch the affair also arrived.

Brian just finished recording his statements and came out.

Upon seeing these people, his face became as dark as the bottom of a pot.

"Brian, why didn't you bring your mistress here today?" The young man who took the lead greeted Brian with a smile and enthusiasm. Brian was taken aback.
