Ricardo sat next to her, humming softly. "What else could it be? Probably scared stiff at the thought of us leaving him behind." Brielle's eyes shifted downward before she stood up. "Ricardo, we can't hang around here any longer. We've gotta find an exit, and fast. Let's go." Ricardo nodded, following closely behind her.

This time, Brielle stopped at one of the doors and glanced at Ricardo. "We've passed so many doors, and I have no idea which one to open. If we keep wandering like this, I might just die here before King shows up. We need to take a chance." Each door was locked, but the keys were conveniently placed right next to them. Brielle picked up a key and slowly unlocked the door.

It was a steel door-Fisher clearly used the best materials for his escape routes. As soon as the door creaked open, the roar of a starving beast echoed from inside.

Before Ricardo could react, Brielle shoved him in and locked the door behind him.

Trapped inside, Ricardo faced Brielle through the door. "Ms. Brielle, what's the meaning of this?"

Brielle locked the door, slipped the key into her pocket, and her face turned pale. "Ms. Brielle, did you push me in here because you're afraid of the beast? That's pretty cold-hearted."

Brielle's heart pounded as she stared coldly at the door. "I asked you if you wanted to know why the fake Fisher was laughing."

"Ms. Brielle, I don't understand. I didn't think you were the type to fear death. How could King ever fall for someone like you?"

"You're not Ricardo. The real Ricardo

got separated from me several times in those dark tunnels. The fake Fisher mentioned that Fisher had sent a group of people for plastic surgery, and he had stolen King's mother's remains long ago, which means he's been observing us for a while. At first, I thought those surgeries were just to create his doubles. But the fake Fisher's laughter made me realize those surgeries weren't just to mimic Fisher. They could be anyone close

to me and King."

Brielle's heart raced, no one knew how terrified she was when she asked that question. It felt like the grim reaper's scythe was hanging over her head, poised to strike at any moment.

That's why she didn't dare drink the

water, because she had already considered this possibility. What confirmed, her suspicion was when Ricardo didn't stop her from unlocking the door just now. If it

were the real Ricardo, he would have taken the key, opened the door

himself, ensuring her safety.

The fake Ricardo didn't stop Brielle, probably knowing he could handle the beast inside. Brielle was sweating profusely. She couldn't believe she had walked so far alongside a fake Ricardo.

She knew she couldn't stay there any longer and continued forward alone, avoiding the water on the ground, and refusing to open any more doors, just waiting for King to arrive.

Now she realized she wasn't the only one in these tunnels; she needed to find a place to hide.

Above ground, Irene and Jaired arrived quickly. Irene, who had just become the President of North America, was now dressed in a fiery outfit, sitting atop a truck, surveying the barren land.

Irene had come along because she was bored. Even after becoming president and exiling those royals who looked at her sideways, she still found life to be empty. So, coming here seemed like a good distraction, especially since King mentioned there would be some fun.

But when she saw villagers vomiting non-stop, Irene caressed the throwing knife on her wrist. "King, this is what you call fun? I may not fear death, but I do hate being grossed out. Believe me, I could kill you right now."
