Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) -
Chapter 1334
When Brielle's foot connected with Fake Fisher's gut, it was so brutal he coughed up blood and curled into a ball, too scared to say a word. Seething, Brielle kicked him again. "Talk! Where's the computer?!"
Terrified for his life, Fake Fisher spilled everything. "I swear, I don't know. I'm just a decoy Fisher set up. He had me get surgery to look like him. Fisher's nuts, keeping a bunch of look-alikes around. None of us know his real plans. These tunnels could go anywhere; only he knows which paths are safe and which are traps. I'd seriously advise against messing with them."
In that moment, Brielle had to grudgingly respect Fisher's crafty survival tactics. But sticking around wasn't an option for her and Ricardo; they'd be easy targets.
"We need to move, find a new spot. That way, even if Fisher wants to catch us, he'll have to go through the tunnels first."
"Ricardo, take him with us. Let's get out of here."
Fake Fisher looked like he wanted to scream, but the sight of Ricardo's knife flashing before his eyes shut him up instantly. Only Fisher knew the complete layout of these tunnels, and to prevent anyone from tracking his movements, he'd left them unmonitored. Fisher's logic was simple: if he ever had to hide in the tunnels, his memorized map would let him escape swiftly. Many areas within were death traps, ensuring any intruder wouldn't come out alive.
Outside the room, Fisher stood in the shadows, a cold sneer crossing his lips before commanding his men to scour the tunnels. Whether his own men survived was not his concern.
Bryan stepped forward, intent on joining the search, but Fisher stopped him.
"Bryan, I need you to rally the others. Be ready for any government agents that come sniffing around. I've got a hunch my son is hiding out here somewhere. This is my turf; if he dares show his face, he won't leave alive."
Fisher's smirk was smug, relieved
he'd used a decoy, or he'd be the one
at Brielle's mercy now. His eyes gleamed, a sly smile curling his lips.
"No rush, I still have an ace up my sleeve."
"Bryan, listen, find my son. Alive, if possible. I want to see his face when I take everything from him."
Bryan knelt, his usually impassive heart stirred by memories of a
similar loyalty from years past. But to whom? His life had been Fisher's gift; Fisher was his only master.

"Your will be done. I'll stop them."
Bryan's head bowed, a slight frown creasing his brow as a distant conversation echoed in his mind.
"Boss, are you sure you want me to go?"
"You're defying my orders?"
"001 would never dare."
His body tensed, the dialogue eerily familiar, yet he couldn't recall to whom it belonged.
"Bryan, what are you waiting for? Get the professor too. We can't have that old coot stabbing us in the back."
Rising, Bryan cast aside those
inexplicable thoughts. It must have
been just a dream, perhaps
fragments of a dream's navelite
