Mafia Billionaire’s Forlorn Wife -
Chapter 58
A grunt escapes my lips as I dodge the attack from my opponent before my fist dashes forward and hits the six foot man straight across his cheek.
The burly man’s frame hunches over slightly at the impact of my attack and he growls loudly, wiping the slight b***d on his jaw with the back of his hand.
He growls maniacally at me, staring straight into my soul with nothing but pure hatred, agitated at the fact that someone who is less than half his size is capable of kicking his a*s.
Outside the ring, the crowds scream and cheer for me, some even provoke the bald headed Russian in front of me as they try to get a rise out of him.
“YOU ARE A p***y!” One of my soldiers screams.
“YOU WILL NEVER WIN AGAINST OUR REIGNA!”
My heart warms but I don’t let my emotion appear on my face as I simply stare at him with a smirk on my lips, knowing well enough that this is my playground, this is my kingdom, and the man standing in front of me is nothing but a scum on this planet and he deserves to perish.
I am their queen. Of each and everyone present in this arena.
“REIGNA! REIGNA! REIGNA!”
Growling in anger, the man charges towards me as I plant my feet in their place, getting ready to take him down as I wait till the very last moment before I twist out of his path and climb up on his back, wrapping my legs around his neck and then using my entire body weight to topple his large physique to the ground before twisting my waist in such a manner that my legs turn his neck at an odd angle and before he can make his next move, a sickening c***k reaches my ears and his body falls limp on the ground as all kinds of struggles leave him completely.
The crowds cheer louder and with more fervour as I smirk, slowly getting up as two of my spots rush towards me the moment I am standing straight.
I am made to wear an elaborate black robe with crystal embellishments, a coat of armour of sorts, telling everyone present who they bow down to.
My pair of leggings and sports bra get revamped as I pull my hair out and let my raven curls fall till my shoulders while the small brunette hands me a bottle of water and I give her a curt nod.
“REIGNA!”
“REIGNA!”
“REIGNA!”
Queen.
Their screams and cheers fall in my ears as I walk out of the ring and into the arena filled and bustling to the brim with men and women who worship me, who work for me, and who fear me.
I stand there for a moment, just looking all around me as I take in the huge crowd that will lay their lives out on a wire for me and just like every single day, I mentally thank Leo for introducing me to this life.
I would have never developed such strength if it hadn’t been for him.
And Kian.
Speaking of whom, my eyes travel up the rows upon rows of crowds surrounding me in this oval arena, all of them screaming from their stands, but overlooking them all, at the highest position in this entire arena is the platform where Kian is currently standing beside the tall armchair that is meant for me.
Their screams get louder and louder as I climb up the stairs, making my way towards the crowds from the sides who reach towards me, patting my shoulders, my back, as they try to reach out to me, cheering me further while I smile and shake their hands until I reach the elevated platform and my eyes clash with Kian’s.
There is a victorious grin on his lips as he sits in an elaborate armchair facing the fighting ring below us and just a step above his chair is my own seat that looks nothing less than a throne.
He stands up ceremoniously as I step towards him and bows his head in my direction with his hand placed against his chest in respect.
“My friends and students!” I scream, and right at that instant, all of their voices immediately die down as they hear me speaking, “the man I killed today was named Helmut Zolotov. He was a Russian arms dealer, but more importantly, he was a human trafficker. Your master Kian was the one who once taught him everything he knew, but alas…we had to bring him back here after five years of his graduation. Every crime, every dirty trait, is acceptable and negotiable in this institution, but if you think that you can get away with joining sides of those who deal in flesh and innocence, then I can assure you that I will do exactly what I did to Helmut, no matter who it is.” I tell them all, my words falling into their ears as they all look at me with nothing but devotion and acceptance.
“Is that clear?” I bellow to them all.
Their hands flash to their chest as they nod their head and scream, “yes Reigna!”
I smirk, “then I give my permission for the night to begin!” I say raising my hand in their direction.
Their cheers louden and then two of my soldiers enter the ring and their combat starts.
I smirk and take my seat at my throne before I finally turn my eyes towards Kian.
“Reigna.” He greets me, using the nickname that he first gave me in the early days of my training and soon after, everyone at the academy started calling me that. “You’ve done it again, another badge of honour added to your long list of accomplishments.”
I grin at him, reaching out to take his hand in mine for a brief moment before letting it hang by his side, “it couldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you for teaching me everything I know today.”
And he had.
Kian stood by my side, got me through a very difficult pregnancy, taught me how to defend myself, and practically lead an entire army of secret soldiers and assassins who were a part of Salazar’s academy.
Salazar is a highly confidential organisation that Leo owns and operates. His family has been the keepers of Salazar for centuries and his ancestors were the ones who found it first.
But with time, Salazar has become a myth in the mafia world because everyone knows that the assassins who come out of here are the sharpest and the deadliest.
“How’s my mama bear doing?” Kian asks softly, and like always, even in so much noise, his voice still feels like the loudest.
I cannot even begin to comprehend Kian’s contribution to my life. Everything that I am is because of this man.
“Good, especially when my cub has been acting suspicious and I know that she is planning something for my upcoming birthday with you.” I say as I narrow my eyes in his direction.
Kian immediately raises his hands in surrender, clearly looking like a deer caught in headlights as he stutters, “who told you that? That’s not true, and I—”
I chuckle, “you try to do this every time!” I remind him, “and why do you think I don’t use my usual interrogation skills on you? This is me giving you a chance of coming clean about whatever it is that you planned for today.”
“But then you would never let us execute any plan of ours!” Kian says with a pout that honestly looks way cuter on his long hair and stoic face than it has any right of looking.
I chuckle, “you and Andy really need to stop with these surprises. You know I don’t like celebrating my birthdays.”
Kian narrows his eyes, “well, I also know why but this is not something that I can easily tell Andromeda.”
I try changing the topic, “I still don’t understand why you always insist on using my baby’s full name instead of a nickname.” I say with a roll of my eyes.
Kian shrugs, “well, Andromeda is such a beautiful name and most definitely goes with the beautiful and enigmatic personality that she has. I don’t like abbreviating such pretty names.”
That’s true. Kian has never shortened my name either and that tells me how much he values his morals and how genuinely nice of a person he is.
This is what my life has been since I first got to this wonderful place called Salazar.
Forever leaving behind my old and painful life, I have now embraced a new and strong life instead.
And this life doesn’t have any sympathies for those who try to play with me in any manner.
It’s just me and my daughter against the world and I will forever be there to protect her from every wrong thing in this bloody world.
Always and forever.
